137: Divide and conquer

The cockpits of the four mechs opened simultaneously.

Qin Weiguo, clad in dark fifth-generation nano-armor, leaped into the bridge, activating his peerless mode, transforming into a human Gundam, and began a bloody massacre.

When Qin Weiguo returned to the bridge, his dark armor was already stained blue. Looking at the control room, which was constantly sparking, he pressed the intercom button on his armor's ear: "Can it be repaired?"

jarvis's voice came through: "One hour."

A small transport spaceship flew into the severely damaged bridge, its hatch opened, and more than a dozen intelligent robots carrying toolboxes ran out.

Qin Weiguo walked out of the bridge and leaped back into the cockpit.

"Do not let anyone enter this star system within one hour."

"Yes!"

Moon Base.

On the main screen, the first-person view of an intelligent robot was playing.

Xi's lips curled slightly into a smile, perhaps even he himself hadn't noticed it.

The second phase of the combat mission was over-achieved.

Four Hai Star battleships were captured.

Hai Star Fleet.

The adjudicator, bridge.

"Commander, the Ruishi ship has sent a message: three drone bases have been destroyed, and the mission is expected to be completed within one hour."

Commander's lips curved into a smile. He swiped his right hand, adjusting the star map angle to examine it.

"Well done. The Blue Star people's drone count has decreased by nearly ten percent."

"Maintain the suppression."

Ten minutes later, the Blue Star Faction's drone count decreased by twenty percent.

Half an hour later, the Blue Star Faction's drone count decreased by forty percent, and they were completely suppressed by the Hai Star Faction's drone swarm.

Another half an hour passed, and the Blue Star Faction's drone count increased twofold, once again completely suppressing the Hai Star Faction's drone swarm, and gradually forming an encirclement.

The adjudicator's bridge.

"What's going on?"

The Deputy, holding a flat terminal, his eyes gradually became serious.

"Commander, the intelligent supercomputer performed a comprehensive deduction and reached a conclusion."

"Speak."

"The Blue Star people might possess faster-than-light spacecraft, and..."

Commander raised his eyebrows and turned his head, urging: "And what?"

"Stargate technology."

"Stargate?"

Half of Commander's face twisted slightly; he thought he had misheard.

What kind of interstellar joke was this?

As the absolute hegemon of the surrounding star systems, Hai Star's faster-than-light spacecraft and stargate technology were still in the experimental phase. To achieve full deployment, under the most ideal circumstances, it would take at least two hundred years.

The Blue Star people were still in the cold weapon era over two thousand years ago; they were just a bunch of primitives.

How could they produce technology of a Level 3 civilization within two thousand years?

This joke was a bit too much.

Koste nodded: "Commander, the intelligent supercomputer believes that the Blue Star people could only achieve rapid transfer and deployment of drones if they possessed faster-than-light spacecraft and stargate technology."

"The situation we are currently facing is highly consistent with the analysis provided by the intelligent supercomputer, so..."

"The Blue Star people's drones have lost 9 million units in the war of attrition, but their drone count has been continuously increasing. Currently, the number of drones appearing on the battlefield has reached 12 million."

"The feedback from the reconnaissance ships is that they cannot find the Blue Star people's drone bases, nor can they trace the source."

"What we are facing now... is very likely the entire production capacity of a planet."

After listening to Koste's analysis, Commander gradually calmed down.

If Blue Star truly possessed the technology of a Level 3 civilization, the Hai Star Fleet would have been completely wiped out by that Star Destroyer Cannon before the war even began.

A Level 3 civilization would also not rely on crudely made drones to achieve results through sheer numbers.

The only possible explanation was already obvious.

Basic materials could not keep up with technological advancements.

"The Blue Star people must have obtained Level 3 civilization technology!"

"Because they lack resources, they cannot produce more advanced technology!"

Koste nodded slightly in agreement: "The intelligent supercomputer also made the same judgment."

"Send this message back to headquarters; Blue Star must be taken!"

"Commander, headquarters has already officially started a war with Tianqin Star, so they probably can't spare too many personnel."

Commander slammed his hand heavily on the armrest and roared: "We must stabilize Tianqin Star at all costs!"

"Taking down Blue Star and obtaining Level 3 civilization technology is the most important thing. Those idiots will understand the priorities..."

"Understood."

"Let the mobile forces deploy and end this farce."

As Commander's order was given, the hangars of the three Hai Star carriers opened, and a large number of unmanned mechs poured out.

The Deputy stared at the terminal in his hand, a bolded message notification appeared.

"There is a high-ranking spy within the Hai Star Fleet. Suspected list: ..."

A total of twenty-three names were on the list, all of whom were the highest-ranking Commanders on the three carriers, including the fleet's overall Commander—Commander's name—with a suspicion level reaching the highest of 36%.

He didn't dare to tell Commander about this.

Because this matter was indeed somewhat bizarre, and he himself had noticed a hint of something amiss.

The Blue Star people always seemed to know the Hai Star Fleet's orders in advance and made corresponding deployments.

The message from the Ruishi ship was the most conclusive evidence.

There were no drone bases at all; that message was fake.

The intelligent supercomputer's deduction was: the Blue Star people had mastered Hai Star's core secrets, which allowed them to edit the message and successfully transmit it back to the carrier.

The Ruishi ship and the other three battleships sent out were very likely already captured by the Blue Star people.

Or, these four battleships were simply a gift from Commander to the Blue Star people.

The Deputy's eyes were fixed on Commander's profile.

As a subordinate, counting this year, he had followed this Commander of the Imperial Expeditionary Force for a full one hundred and fifty years.

He truly couldn't imagine that this Commander of the Expeditionary Force, who had conquered half the empire for Hai Star, would choose to betray Hai Star.

There was no logic, no reason could be found at all.

But the intelligent supercomputer's judgment was incredibly accurate, and Commander was indeed the most suspicious.

After a moment of hesitation, he finally made a decision.

Until Commander's suspicion was completely ruled out, the control of the intelligent supercomputer could not be handed over to him... Moon Base.

Three new messages appeared on the main control screen.

"The Hai Star Fleet has already detected information that Blue Star possesses Level 3 civilization technology."

"The Hai Star mobile forces have been dispatched, quantity: 2000, route: ..."

"The stratagem of sowing discord has been effective."

When Xi saw the third message, he quickly wrapped the hair at the back of his head into a hair tie, a habit he had when thinking to accelerate analysis efficiency.

"Then let's add more fuel to the fire."

"Dispatch the Scourge to set up an ambush in the B7-49 star system."
