167: Give me a plate of pig's head.

Jiang Lan arrived at the entrance of the tavern.

Inside the tavern, it was still bustling with demonic sounds and extraordinary liveliness.

It seemed the events that had just transpired had no impact whatsoever on the patrons inside.

Even the pig demon was leisurely seated behind the counter, fiddling with a few blood pills in his hand.

Jiang Lan narrowed his eyes and walked directly into the tavern.

His True Qi surged within him as he approached the counter.

The pig demon lifted his eyelids, saw Jiang Lan, and greeted him with a warm smile:

"Esteemed Guest, please have a seat. What would you like to eat?"

Jiang Lan's Crow Demon face showed no expression, and he spoke in a low, hoarse voice:

"What do you have here?"

"Human meat buns and roasted human legs are both specialties of the house," the pig demon replied with the same words as before.

Jiang Lan narrowed his eyes.

"Get me a plate of pig's head meat."

Upon hearing this, the pig demon's expression instantly changed.

Just now, an ignorant Wolf Cub had come, and now another bird-man appeared.

His pig face, covered in black bristles, darkened.

"Our humble establishment does not have pig's head meat, Esteemed Guest. Are you here to cause trouble?"

"None?" Jiang Lan feigned surprise. "I clearly saw some. How can you, the shopkeeper, lie through your teeth?"

Seeing Jiang Lan so certain, the pig demon became a bit unsure.

"Where did you see it?"

"Aren't you it?"

As Jiang Lan's hoarse voice fell, his withered right hand shot out like lightning, its black, curved claws gleaming with a cold light.

After transforming into a Crow Demon, Jiang Lan's body also changed accordingly.

He couldn't possibly have a crow's head with a pair of wolf claws.

The sharp claws instantly plunged into the pig demon's thick neck.

Jiang Lan's fingers gently curved, and a sound of flesh and blood churning immediately echoed from within the pig demon's neck.

This sound was somewhat similar to flowing water, but much more viscous.

"Hoo... hoo..."

The pig demon was only in the Spirit Gathering Realm, completely incomparable to Jiang Lan.

Moreover, Jiang Lan's attack was sudden, so the pig demon had no time to react.

By the time he came to his senses, his windpipe had already been cut and torn by Jiang Lan's sharp claws.

Watching the pig demon's eyes gradually dim, Jiang Lan didn't hesitate, directly tearing with his lean hand.

Immediately, the pig demon's head tilted to one side; if not for the remaining skin and flesh on his neck connecting it, his pig head would have fallen to the ground.

Fresh blood gushed out like a fountain, straight up to the ceiling.

The strong impact caused the blood to spray onto the roof, then fall like a shower of petals.

Even though the counter was only in a corner of the tavern, more than half of the tavern's floor, tables, and chairs were drenched in the overwhelming blood.

All of this happened too quickly; it was only when the fishy-smelling blood landed on their faces that the patrons in the tavern realized what had happened.

They looked in horror towards the counter, and upon seeing the pig demon's tragic state, they quickly screamed.

"They're killing demons!"

"Run! Run!"

Jiang Lan looked at the panicked demons.

Oh, so they knew fear after all.

But knowing fear now was a little too late.

Jiang Lan's figure vanished from his spot.

He moved like a ghost, weaving through the tavern.

Each time his figure appeared, it meant another demon's death.

Jiang Lan showed no mercy.

Since he had started, he might as well go bigger.

Only punishing the ringleader? He wasn't that kind.

Even if these demons hadn't provoked him and had only watched with cold eyes.

But Jiang Lan was human, and these guys were demons.

There was an inherent, irreconcilable conflict between the two sides.

Just like Jiang Lan came here simply to kill more demons.

Before him, a translucent virtual screen appeared, constantly refreshing with text prompts.

"[Killed a Bone Refinement Triple-stage dog demon, gained fourteen years of lifespan.]"

"[Killed a Qi Gathering Sixth-stage fox demon, gained forty-five years of lifespan.]"

"[Killed...]"

The prompts were ceaseless, and Jiang Lan killed with even more vigor.

Each one, for him, was lifespan.

There were at least thirty-odd demons in this tavern; if counting the waiters, there might be forty.

Jiang Lan's movements were swift; in just over ten breaths, he had slaughtered all the demons in the entire tavern.

His Core Formation Realm, in a place like this, was a complete dimensionality reduction strike.

In fact, even if Jiang Lan didn't use True Qi, relying solely on his physical fitness, he could crush these demons.

Ten-odd breaths of time wasn't fast.

Jiang Lan was even a little dissatisfied.

If he were to do it again, he was confident he could kill all the demons in this tavern within five breaths.

Casually putting down the last demon's corpse, Jiang Lan looked at the screen before him.

"[Killed a Qi Gathering Third-stage horse demon, gained thirty-three years of lifespan.]"

"[Remaining lifespan: two thousand two hundred sixty-three years.]"

Jiang Lan raised an eyebrow.

His previous lifespan was four hundred thirteen years.

After this massacre, his lifespan had actually increased by over one thousand eight hundred years, nearly two thousand years.

Indeed, he hadn't come to the wrong place.

If he hadn't come to this demon-infested area, wanting to obtain so much lifespan would not only be as difficult as ascending to heaven but would also require extremely good luck to acquire.

A Mortal Shedding demon could provide him with about one to two thousand years of lifespan.

But in Yan Country, encountering a Mortal Shedding demon could be said to be as difficult as ascending to heaven.

During Jiang Lan's long time in Yan Country, only the Crow Demon who colluded with the emperor was a Mortal Shedding demon.

But now, in just over ten breaths, he had acquired so much lifespan.

Over two thousand years, he estimated, would be enough to raise his Realm to the Peak of Core Formation.

As for Nascent Soul, he still lacked a Cultivation Technique.

However, Jiang Lan wanted to join the Ten Thousand Demons Hall precisely for the Cultivation Technique.

Although the Cultivation Techniques of the Ten Thousand Demons Hall were all for demons to Cultivate.

But Jiang Lan had the System.

So, this was not a problem at all.

Collecting his thoughts, Jiang Lan glanced at the chaotic tavern and turned to leave.

Things happened too quickly; at this moment, not many demons had gathered at the tavern entrance, only two or three.

Seeing Jiang Lan emerge, they didn't dare to stop him at all, instead retreating three paces.

They had witnessed the tragic scene inside the tavern.

Trying to block him now, wouldn't that be seeking death?

Jiang Lan was too lazy to bother with those demons, and his figure flickered away.

A moment later, he found another secluded spot.

With a slight thought, Jiang Lan's physical form changed again, transforming from his previous crow appearance back into the form of a wolf demon with entirely silver fur.

A smile appeared on Jiang Lan's wolf face.

This matter was handled, if not flawlessly, then certainly no one... no demon would find him for a while.

He raised his head and looked at the mountain outside the city.

The mountain Peak was entirely black, without a trace of green, soaring into the clouds; even Jiang Lan's eyesight struggled to discern what was on it.

Presumably, what the horse demon mentioned earlier was this mountain.

Jiang Lan reached into his chest and felt the token.

The Ten Thousand Demons Hall, he wondered if it truly had ten thousand demons...
