175: It seems I am Tang Monk?

“Oh.”

Jiang Lan acknowledged.

As they advanced, the surroundings gradually became more secluded. The mountain path, which was once somewhat wide, could now only accommodate one demon walking at a time, with strange rocks and cliff walls on both sides.

Finally, after walking for another distance, the path widened again.

Not far ahead was a cave, a pitch-black expanse at first glance.

Upon reaching the spot, the Ape Demon stopped and turned his head.

He grinned, “Wolf Brother, I’m introducing you to a friend. He looks a bit fierce, but don’t be scared.”

Jiang Lan narrowed his eyes.

Introducing a friend?

Two Late Stage Qi Gathering demons, and they weren’t confident enough to attack him, a ‘Qi Gathering Mid-Stage’ demon?

Thinking this, Jiang Lan glanced at the cave again.

Presumably, the friend the monkey spoke of was inside this cave.

Just then, a mountain breeze blew, and the smell from inside the cave faintly wafted out.

Jiang Lan frowned.

This rank, musky smell suggested that the friend was likely not very hygienic.

The Ape Demon clearly smelled it too, but he obviously didn't care. Instead, he walked to the front of the cave and called inside:

“Sir, are you awake?”

“Roar—”

A tiger’s roar echoed from within the cave, so loud that the Ape Demon couldn’t help but retreat two steps.

Jiang Lan, however, was unaffected.

He wasn't that fragile.

As for the wild boar standing beside Jiang Lan, his face also showed a hint of fear, as if something terrifying resided within the cave.

Seeing this scene, Jiang Lan was a bit puzzled.

He said he was introducing a friend, but the attitude of the two demons clearly indicated that the thing inside the cave was much stronger than them.

Even if they wanted a helper to rob him, there was no need to find someone so powerful.

Jiang Lan couldn't deduce the exact strength of the creature in the cave just from a single roar.

But just by listening to its Aura, it was more than Qi Gathering.

It should be a Gathering Yuan.

Just as Jiang Lan was pondering, inside the cave, a pair of dark yellow eyes lit up like two small light bulbs. Immediately after, accompanied by heavy footsteps, the owner of the eyes emerged from the cave.

It was a Tiger Demon.

He was over a zhang tall, with an enormous tiger head and a robust build, his fur covered in muscles. Just standing there, he exuded a chilling pressure.

Of course, this pressure might seem formidable to the Ape Demon and the Pig Demon, but to Jiang Lan, it was nothing.

Stepping out of the cave, the Tiger Demon didn't even look at the Ape Demon, but fixed his gaze on Jiang Lan.

The Tiger Demon sized up Jiang Lan for a moment, then a smile suddenly appeared on his face.

“Good monkey, this one you sent is quite good…”

Although the Tiger Demon’s voice was very deep, Jiang Lan could still tell.

This was a female tiger.

The Ape Demon lowered his head, “As long as you’re satisfied…”

“Satisfied, satisfied…” The Tiger Demon bared his blood-filled mouth, “Leave this Wolf Cub with me, you two scram.”

The Ape Demon stood still, hesitating to speak.

The Tiger Demon seemed to guess what he wanted to say, and said impatiently, “You won’t be shortchanged. Now scram.”

“Alright!”

As if fearing the Tiger Demon’s wrath, the Ape Demon quickly agreed, then gave the wild boar a look, and the two demons scurried away in the opposite direction.

Leaving Jiang Lan utterly bewildered.

What was going on?

What happened to the robbery?

Why was he just abandoned here?

And judging by the conversation between the Tiger Demon and the Ape Demon, it seemed he wasn't the first demon to be sent to this place?

Seeing Jiang Lan frozen in place, the female tiger took two steps forward, coming up to Jiang Lan.

She leaned down, her gaze level with Jiang Lan’s head.

“Little Wolf Cub, good looking. What’s your name?”

A foul breath immediately sprayed Jiang Lan’s face, causing him to instinctively hold his breath.

Even if he were dumber, Jiang Lan would have realized by now.

He had been sold?

He originally thought the Ape Demon wanted to rob him, but he didn't expect him to be in the business of human trafficking.

Seeing Jiang Lan’s reaction, the excitement in the Tiger Demon’s eyes grew even stronger.

Without another word, she directly hoisted Jiang Lan onto her shoulder and, in a few swift strides, returned to the cave.

Jiang Lan: “?”

Everything happened a bit too suddenly. His mind was still processing the fact that he had been sold, and here the Tiger Demon had already carried him into her Immortal Cave.

“Thump.”

Jiang Lan was placed by the Tiger Demon on a huge stone bed.

The bed was covered with the hide of some unknown creature, which, though hard, still had some warmth.

However, the smell, Jiang Lan really couldn't compliment.

It wasn't too disgusting, just too strong of a musky, animalistic odor.

Some demons have fur covering their bodies, so they don’t wear human clothes.

This Tiger Demon, in particular, had nothing on her body.

At this moment, the Tiger Demon straddled Jiang Lan, her foul-smelling head close to his face.

“Come on.”

Jiang Lan: “???”

Come on for what?

Recalling the scene of the Ape Demon and the wild boar walking ahead, Jiang Lan finally understood.

He wondered why there was no Tang Monk; it turned out he was the Tang Monk.

He had been taken fancy to by a female demon?

Coming was absolutely not an option.

Jiang Lan wasn't that depraved.

This was truly beyond his acceptable limits.

Jiang Lan frowned, pressed down on the female tiger’s head, and with a little force, directly flung her off the stone bed.

Immediately after, he dispelled the Hidden God Art, and his Aura rapidly surged.

The Tiger Demon’s expression went from initial confusion to surprise, then to shock, all in less than two breaths.

“You…”

Jiang Lan rolled over and sat up from the bed.

Looking at the Tiger Demon, he was at a loss for a moment.

Kill her?

If he killed her directly, his two days of hiding his strength would have been for naught.

If the Ape Demon and the Pig Demon had wanted to rob him, they would have found a place where no one could discover them.

At that time, Jiang Lan could have directly counter-killed them and returned. Even if it aroused suspicion from other demons, there would be no evidence.

But now, the Ape Demon and the Pig Demon had already returned. If he killed this Tiger Demon and then returned to his dwelling, it would definitely alert them.

So, to kill this Tiger Demon, he would have to go back and kill both the Ape Demon and the Pig Demon as well.

But then the problem arose.

If he returned completely unscathed, it would certainly arouse the suspicion of the two demons.

In that case, the two demons would inevitably be wary of him.

If he tried to kill them by force… he would most likely be discovered.

Jiang Lan had put a lot of thought into joining the Ten Thousand Demons Hall.

If he were discovered after only two days, then what was the point of all that effort?

Should he just charge in and start a massacre?

Moreover, Jiang Lan came here not just for the thrill of killing, but also to obtain a Cultivation Technique for the Nascent Soul Realm.

“Hoo…”

Jiang Lan slowly exhaled, beginning to comfort himself.

Bear with it, bear with it.

Kill them in two days.

Two days won't make a difference.

Thinking this, Jiang Lan’s expression remained normal, his gaze cold as he looked at the Tiger Demon.

“Still want to ‘come on’?”

“No, no, no…” The Tiger Demon waved her paws repeatedly, “No more! No more!”
