15: Chapter 15 Is it delicious?

The boy had some scars on his body.

Yet, he was unexpectedly good-looking.

She walked over, ruffled his hair, and said, "It's time to eat."

The boy turned his head and immediately wrapped his arms around her waist.

It had only been a few classes, but he had missed her so much that he didn't want to let go once he hugged her.

Her heart ached.

She cradled Gu Yanchen's head and comforted him gently, "I'm sensitive to the heat. When I get hot, I get irritable easily, so I might have sounded a bit harsh. I didn't mean to be mean to you."

He nodded.

He held her hand and walked towards the cafeteria.

He wouldn't let Su Yue use her own campus card, insisting on paying with his card, which didn't have much balance left.

These good days wouldn't last much longer.

Su Yue ate lavishly every meal, piling on chicken drumsticks, pig trotters, and meatballs. She even chose freshly cut imported fruits, finishing with yogurt in her left hand and a smoothie in her right.

His money ran out quickly, and it still wasn't enough.

The two stood in front of the serving window.

Gu Yanchen ordered a bowl of vegetable noodles and looked at her.

Su Yue sighed, "Then just give me a bowl of wontons."

Forget it, just forget it.

Let's save him some face.

Lest she hear the sound of a certain large loyal dog's self-esteem shattering all over the floor again.

The wontons were all vegetables with hardly any meat, tasting bland. She didn't eat much, just had a couple of sips of the soup. Gu Yanchen, however, finished his noodles in a few bites.

Su Yue pushed her bowl over, "Don't let it go to waste."

He glanced at her.

Bowed his head.

And obediently finished the wontons.

When returning the tray, he quietly brought back a waffle and carefully placed it in front of her.

He was like a big bad wolf that had returned from hunting to bring an extra meal to his family.

This dessert cost 36 yuan.

Although Su Yue wasn't short on money, looking at the food Gu Yanchen brought over couldn't help but remind her of her past life, when she couldn't get enough to eat, and the intense hunger that could swallow her at any moment.

She hadn't cried after experiencing so many terrible things, but at that moment, an indescribable feeling of breakdown surged up. Supplies were scarce, and everyone had it hard, but a big...

She had sat on the ground back then, crying her heart out.

People around were just watching the spectacle.

When Gu Yanchen returned from scavenging for supplies and heard the crying, he asked what happened and immediately brought over half a box of items. Although the food was expired, and much of it was damp or moldy, it was truly the fullest and happiest meal she had eaten since the apocalypse.

"Baby, why are you crying?"

Su Yue punched him lightly, "From now on, you can only be good to me, do you hear me!"

"I hear you."

"Did you hear me with both ears?"

"I heard you with both."

Su Yue cut the waffle, dipped it in cream, and fed it to him.

Gu Yanchen shook his head, "You haven't eaten yet."

"What a jerk!"

She was still perfectly fine, why did he have to poke at her painful past?

And now he was saying these touching things, it was just hateful!

Su Yue didn't understand how she could have been so foolish before, unable to see a person's true soul behind the shiny exterior and money.

The girl pouted, "This cream is too cloying, you eat this piece first."

The boy opened his mouth and ate it.

Then, he cut a piece of biscuit that was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, dipped it in jam, and fed it to her.

Only then did Su Yue start to eat.

Perhaps it was psychological, but she felt it was exceptionally delicious, even better than the ones she bought herself.

The two fed each other mouthful by mouthful, making the people around them feel like they were going to throw up.

But she didn't care about others' gazes at all.

After the meal, she grabbed Gu Yanchen and dragged him into the small woods. Finding a secluded spot, she jumped up, hung onto his waist, cupped the boy's face in her hands, and kissed him fiercely.

Gu Yanchen let out a muffled grunt.

No matter how she bit and chewed, those cold eyes, like a wild dog's, were filled with nothing but docility.

"Why aren't you opening your mouth?"

Su Yue pulled away, asking with red eyes, panting.

Su Yue gently bit the boy's collarbone through his shirt.

Her brows were tightly knit, and she didn't dare to breathe too heavily for fear of being heard by others.

Gu Yanchen bit her lip, constantly expanding the area of exploration, giving her extreme stimulation.

The afternoon was quiet and beautiful, even the insects were too lazy to move. The fresh scent of plants mixed with the faint smell of soap on his body was deeply inhaled into her lungs, and her whole body exuded a sense of laziness.

Su Yue fell into a deep sleep.

When she woke up again, she found herself on Gu Yanchen's back. Her skirt and shirt had been adjusted, and to prevent her from being exposed, a loose jacket was tied around her waist—although it was a bit dirty, clearly having been used by Gu Yanchen as a sweat towel.

The bell rang; he was worried that she loved studying and wouldn't want to be late, so he simply carried her on his back into the classroom.

The surrounding classmates cast strange looks at them.

Their eyes seemed to say, "Damn, this couple is too arrogant with their public display of affection, right?"

As they passed by where Zhang Xiaoxiao was, a blackboard eraser flew precisely toward Su Yue's head.

She flinched in fright, but Gu Yanchen didn't even lift his head, reached out to catch the eraser, and casually placed it on the windowsill.
