19: Chapter 19 Hoarding
Gu Yanchen saw that she had fallen into a deep sleep, so he placed the money on her vanity table, climbed down from the balcony, and left.
After a good night's sleep, Su Yue stretched and suddenly saw the money on the vanity table, curling her lips into a smile; she would just consider it the bride price he had given her.
Once everything was prepared, Su Yue called Gu Yanchen.
"What are you doing?"
Gu Yanchen's sweet nothings came from the other end: "Thinking of my Baby."
"A-Yan, who are you talking to on the phone?" Mother Gu's voice came through the phone at that moment.
"Mom, I'm talking to your future daughter-in-law."

Su Yue didn't hear what Mother Gu said afterward; she guessed that Mother Gu must have chased Gu Yanchen to give him a beating.
Gu Yanchen asked, panting slightly: "Baby, are you still there?"
Su Yue chuckled: "Did Auntie beat you up?"
Gu Yanchen firmly denied it: "No."
Su Yue knew he was just being stubborn, so she cleared her throat: "I'll wait for you at the Fumei Supermarket."
Gu Yanchen was puzzled: "What are you going there for?"
"To buy things!"
The apocalypse was coming, she had to stockpile some goods, otherwise what would she eat?
In her past life, she had suffered from this; for the sake of a little food, she had lived like neither human nor ghost. As long as someone could give her food, anyone could have her.
Gu Yanchen felt that the money he earned wasn't enough; he needed more money to support Su Yue.
Having made up his mind, he decided to go to the black market tonight.
After agreeing on a time, the two met at the Fumei Supermarket.
"I have a lot of things to buy today. Can you find a way to get a vehicle here?"
Su Yue wanted to send the daily necessities and food she bought directly into the RV, to save the trouble of transporting it home and then having to move it inside later.
"Sure," Gu Yanchen thought for a moment and, without asking what she was going to do, agreed immediately.
It just so happened that a friend of his drove a van, and he could borrow it.
"Alright, you go borrow the car first, and I'll go into the Supermarket to buy things."
Seeing Gu Yanchen leave, Su Yue ran into the Supermarket and started her crazy shopping mode.
She wanted to buy this, and she wanted to buy that. She had practically emptied half the Supermarket, which attracted the attention of the Supermarket owner.
The Supermarket owner wore a professional smile: "Young lady, you're buying so many things, can one person use them all?"
Su Yue thought of a perfect excuse: "Owner, I'm planning to donate these items to children in impoverished mountain areas."
She couldn't very well say that the zombie virus was about to break out and that she was buying these things to save her life; she would definitely be treated as a mental patient.
The Supermarket owner gave her a thumbs up: "It's rare for a young lady nowadays to have such a kind heart. I'm proud of you, young lady!"
"Take a look and see what else you need? I'll have the cashier give you a discount in a while."
Su Yue: "Thank you, owner."
"I'll go first. Young lady, feel free to look around here. If you can't carry it all, just ask the staff to help you." The Supermarket owner was eager for Su Yue to buy more things so he could make more money.
Su Yue went on a shopping spree for a while longer, felt it was enough, clapped her hands, and called Gu Yanchen.
"Have you arrived yet?"
"At the entrance of the Supermarket. Are you still inside?"
"I bought quite a lot of things. Come over and help me move them."
When Gu Yanchen arrived and saw the mountain of goods that the Supermarket staff had moved over, he was dumbfounded.
This was her idea of "a little bit"? He found it hard to believe.
Su Yue patted his shoulder: "Why are you dazed? Hurry up and help move these to the car."
Gu Yanchen didn't say a word; he picked up the items and started taking them to the car.
Su Yue flashed a cute smile at them: "Dear brothers and sisters, could you please help move these things to the car as well?"
She couldn't bear for him to move all these things by himself; he would be exhausted.
"No problem." The owner had given orders that they were to cooperate with whatever this young lady requested.
The weather was a bit hot, so Su Yue took two ice creams, one for herself and one for Gu Yanchen.
Gu Yanchen took a big bite of the ice cream, feeling the icy cold in his stomach, which was very comfortable: "With this much stuff, I reckon the car will have to make several trips back and forth."
He had just stuffed the van full and turned around to find a mountain of goods still remaining, his brow furrowing slightly.
Su Yue had practically bought out the whole Supermarket; her shopping ability was truly top-tier!
"No rush, we have the whole day to make trips." Su Yue sat on a chair, swinging her long legs.
Gu Yanchen narrowed his eyes as he watched, feeling an itch in his heart.
[Baby, are you seducing me again? I really can't take it anymore. I want to pounce on her right here and now!]
"Cough, cough." Su Yue almost choked while eating her ice cream. Even with the apocalypse coming, he still had the mood to be lustful.
Gu Yanchen rubbed her back: "Baby, how can you choke while eating ice cream?"
Su Yue gave him a big eye-roll; it was all caused by a certain someone.
Gu Yanchen touched his nose, feeling a bit confused.
After finishing the ice cream, Su Yue asked the Supermarket staff to keep an eye on the goods for her.
Gu Yanchen drove the car to the front of the luxury RV in the direction Su Yue pointed.
Gu Yanchen knew Su Yue's family was wealthy, but he hadn't imagined they were this wealthy—it exceeded his imagination.
Su Yue didn't notice his thoughts and happily directed him: "Hurry up and unload the things into the RV."
