106: Decoration of Linlang Pavilion

He stretched, the warm feeling making him very comfortable; however, he knew that rest should also be taken in moderation, for too much rest was simply laziness.

Once seated, he began to silently recite the Golden Light Incantation, which was his daily routine.

Soon, he finished his practice of the Golden Light Incantation for the day, put on his clothes, and rose.

There was still work to do today: decorating his Linlang Pavilion.

This was a major project he had to accomplish recently, and there could not be the slightest mistake; he wanted to show the Yao Race his aesthetic sense.

He called Bai Ming to go with him; after all, the half-Yao had lived among the Human Race for quite some time and was more in tune with the aesthetics of the current era.

It was necessary to balance these aesthetics; otherwise, the overly modern concepts in Gu Yuchuan's mind would be very difficult for the creatures here to appreciate, which certainly would not do.

They soon arrived at the location of Linlang Pavilion, which was a small island on Bright Stream.

The total surface area was only about two hundred square meters, but it was more than enough to serve as a shop; he planned to build a three-story pavilion.

The entire pavilion would certainly have to be made of wood, and he used century-old parasol trees.

Building such a large pavilion required a lot of wood, and these century-old parasol trees were not something to be found everywhere; they were genuine Grade 2 spiritual items and were very precious, but it was all worth it.

He knew clearly that the decoration of a shop represented his style; if the shop looked very dilapidated, the items inside would not sell for a high price.

Therefore, the decoration had to be grand; an Artifact Refiner would never lack Materials for Artifact Refining, and the Materials for building the pavilion could not be inferior.

Using parasol wood had another advantage: since this was a small island in the water, the humidity was very high, and once it became damp, some strange odors would surely appear.

Parasol wood was one of the few fire-attribute woods, and using it could make the sensory experience inside Linlang Pavilion much more comfortable.

However, a problem now lay before him: he did not have a Great Master of architecture.

If he relied on himself to carve, who knew how long that would take? It was better to find some Great Masters of architecture from the Human Race.

"Bai Ming, head to Coastal City and help me buy a few servants from the Human Race. I need five Great Masters of architecture and five good-looking maids. This is my token. After arriving, look for Ink Scale Demon General or Black Tortoise Demon General. No one will dare to make things difficult for you. Go and return quickly."

As for why Gu Yuchuan did not go himself, it was indeed because there were still things to do here.

If he wanted people to work, he could not just rely on describing it with his mouth; he certainly needed a blueprint, so he started working on the blueprints right there.

He spent an entire day drawing and sketching before he finally created the blueprints he wanted, and just then, Bai Ming returned, bringing ten humans behind it.

These humans all looked very frightened.

Although Coastal City was already under the control of the Yao Race, as humans living in Coastal City, leaving that place and truly arriving among the Yao Race made them feel very uneasy.

However, they felt much better after seeing Gu Yuchuan; this Gu Yuchuan had the head of a human and the body of a snake, which, in the legends of their Human Race, was the appearance of a mythical figure.

Gu Yuchuan unleashed his Aura, and all the humans knelt down: "This Seat is the Master of Bright Stream, Azure Scale Demon General. I intend to build a Linlang Pavilion here to conduct business. You five, build it well. I will not treat you unfairly. As for these maids, for this period, learn how to sell goods. Listen well: if you work diligently, I will certainly treat you well, but if anyone harbors malicious intent, I guarantee their end will be very miserable."

All the humans dared not move and were all pledging their loyalty; Gu Yuchuan was quite satisfied.

These were all humans from Coastal City, and the humans who were still alive in Coastal City today had already been screened many times; they were not the type of people with great backbone, so naturally, they would not do anything reckless.

Very quickly, the construction of Linlang Pavilion began.

According to Gu Yuchuan's vision, this Linlang Pavilion would have three floors.

The first floor was the main hall, used for selling Magical Artifacts; the decoration on this floor was dominated by gold and jade, focusing on grandeur and wealth, ensuring that anyone who walked in would feel at a glance that this was a very wealthy place.

The carvings mainly used Dragon patterns, as this was Gu Yuchuan's Dao; these Dragon patterns were more in Fusion with his temperament.

As for the ornaments, they were basically all made of white jade; set against the gold, the white jade appeared even more pristine, looking full of opulence.

The second floor was for selling Spiritual Artifacts; since the value of the Spiritual Artifacts themselves was precious enough, there was no need for external embellishments.

Therefore, for this second floor, he used emeralds for decoration; these emeralds did not have that overpowering feeling of wealth, but they possessed an introverted and subtle Aura, which was very suitable.

He also used some bamboo elements, making this second floor look just like the wild mountains, filled with natural elements.

The third floor was divided into two parts; the first was a large hall for auctions, and the second consisted of six small rooms for people of high status to select goods—in other words, VIP private rooms.

No matter what business it was, there would certainly be VIPs; he decorated these six private rooms differently; some were domineering, some were wealthy, and some were elegant.

As for this auction area, he had already thought it through; at the very least, the taiji purple gauze smoke in his hand would be used for the auction.

As a Medium Grade defensive Spiritual Artifact, its value was enough to attract Cultivators at the Late Foundation Establishment Stage to scramble for it.

Just like that, six full days passed, and Linlang Pavilion was finally built.

This was only possible because Gu Yuchuan used his magic power to support the construction; otherwise, relying on Mortals to build it would probably have taken six months, and he could not wait that long.

The maids had also been trained; they were familiar with the products in the shop and no longer had that fearful, timid feeling when seeing the Yao Race; they were ready to sell goods, but this was not enough.

The place needed a Yao who could take charge, and in the end, he decided that Song Chuan would come.

In fact, according to ability, the most suitable person was definitely Bai Ming; it had both beauty and ability.

However, the Flood Dragon Palace could not lose Bai Ming; transferring it from the position of Chief Steward to a manager here would count as a demotion, and he could not do that.

So, he could only let Song Chuan come; let's see, if there was a suitable candidate later, he would continue to make adjustments.

With this, Linlang Pavilion was ready.

The next step was to build momentum; he needed to let the entire periphery of the Cloud Sea Marsh, and even Coastal City, know that Linlang Pavilion was about to open and would be selling many Spiritual Artifacts.

Of course, this process certainly required the help of Black Shark Demon King; after all, his own Face as a Demon General was not that big, and only with a Demon King's endorsement could it be considered secure.
