71: Kill the monks in the fishing grounds

Finally, night had fallen. The weather today was not great; dark clouds obscured the moonlight. Although the entire fishery was not pitch black, visibility was extremely low. With the dark night and high winds, it was the perfect time for killing. It seemed that heaven itself had decreed that no one in this fishery would survive today.

Under the cover of night, two giant pythons surfaced from the water—one pitch black, the other emerald green. Their heads were adorned with a few Dragon scales, making them look truly extraordinary. These giant pythons were naturally the Serpent and Gu Yuchuan. The Spirit Fish in the fishery were all trembling; although they had not awakened their intelligence, their extraordinary Bloodline gave them an innate ability to seek advantages and avoid harm.

Upon entering the fishery, they could sense the Aura of Cultivators. After all, Cultivators needed to cultivate at night and naturally would not conceal their Aura. One Cultivator at the Second layer of Foundation Establishment, one at the Qi Refining Perfection, and three at the Qi Refining Sixth Layer—this was the sum total of the Cultivators in this fishery.

Compared to the scale of this fishery, the number of Cultivators was certainly a bit low. However, given that it was currently a time of war, the Hundred Flowers Sect had already deployed quite a lot of manpower; otherwise, doubling the number of Cultivators in this fishery would not have been an issue.

"I will go kill that Cultivator at the Foundation Establishment Stage, and you go kill these few Cultivators at the Qi Refinement Stage." The Serpent's voice was very soft, fearing that he might disturb them and alert the prey.

Gu Yuchuan recalled the scene from his Simulation: "Brother, can you set up a barrier first? That way, they won't be able to call for reinforcements. If we get caught in a pincer attack from inside and outside, it will be very hard for us to escape."

The Serpent thought about it and felt it was a good idea. Although he thought it was useless, since Gu Yuchuan had suggested it, he saw no need to contradict him over such a trivial matter.

"Fine, but once this barrier is activated, they will definitely notice it, and we won't be able to launch a sneak attack."

Gu Yuchuan nodded in understanding: "I know, but given their cultivation levels, we can win even without a sneak attack. Brother, you possess an Earthly Fiend Dao Foundation; that move of yours, Heaven-and-Earth Manifestation, is truly enviable."

The Serpent could not hide his happiness. After all, hearing such flattery from a Genius was completely different from hearing it from a subordinate: "This is not Heaven-and-Earth Manifestation; that is a Heavenly Dipper Divine Ability. Mine is a precursor version of Heaven-and-Earth Manifestation, so it can't compare. Still, it is certainly not weak. Alright, wait here for me while I set up the barrier."

He shot straight up into the sky and let out a roar. This sound was a Dragon roar, and in an instant, all the Cultivators in the fishery were startled awake. Water mist began to permeate the sky, and soon, this fog enveloped the entire fishery. This was the Serpent's ability: the Cloud-Mist Barrier, which ensured that no news could be sent out.

From the Immortal Cave of the Human Race, a charming voice rang out: "What kind of monster dares to come to my Hundred Flowers Sect's territory to cause trouble? Do you have no fear of death?"

As she spoke, a flower basket flew out, and the fresh flowers inside dispersed much of the mist. A dignified and beautiful woman walked out. She was dressed in palace attire, draped with a palace ribbon, and her hair was styled in a very complex flying-heaven bun. She looked extremely noble, appearing less like a Cultivator and more like a royal concubine from the palace. Indeed, this was very much in the style of the Hundred Flowers Sect; only the Hundred Flowers Sect would pay such attention to dressing up.

The Serpent did not say anything and immediately engaged her in battle. Gu Yuchuan, meanwhile, began searching for the Cultivators at the Qi Refinement Stage within the mist. He first found a young girl at the Mid Qi Refining Stage. This girl looked so spiritually elegant and beautiful that for a moment, he did not know what words to use to praise her beauty. He slapped himself hard with his tail.

What was going on? This was an enemy! He could not just stop attacking because she was beautiful. He had to remember: the more beautiful a woman, the more dangerous she was. Once he realized this and looked up again, he instantly felt that the girl's beauty was nothing special, even a bit vulgar and lacking naturalness.

Wait, he seemed to have realized something. The girl must have used a Charm Technique on him just now. Fortunately, he now possessed a bit of Dragon Clan Bloodline. His Dragon Clan was naturally resistant to such Spells that attacked the Divine Soul, so he had woken up very early. With that, killing intent filled his eyes.

He did not say anything and directly struck out with a single drop of Heavenly Profound Heavy Water. Theoretically, the opponent was merely a Cultivator at the Mid Qi Refining Stage, and there was no need to use such a method, but he was filled with Life Qi. He wanted to make her pay the price.

At this moment, the young girl felt that she had been locked onto by Gu Yuchuan. She wanted to dodge, but no matter how she tried, she felt as if needles were pricking her back. She knew she could not escape, but looking at this water drop, although it appeared unremarkable, her spine had already gone cold. She knew this was her subconscious telling her to run.

However, she could not escape. She could only look at Gu Yuchuan with tear-filled eyes, attempting to use her Charm Technique to secure a path to survival. Unfortunately, Gu Yuchuan would not make the same mistake twice. He easily killed the young girl.

He continued to move forward. The remaining three Cultivators were actually together. The leader was a middle-aged woman; judging by her Aura, her cultivation was solid and quite good. She shielded the two Cultivators at the Mid Qi Refining Stage behind her.

"Snake monster, you actually dare to come to my Hundred Flowers Sect's territory! Are you truly not afraid of death? Our fishery still has a Senior at the Foundation Establishment Stage. You had better run away now; perhaps you might still have a glimmer of a chance to live."

Gu Yuchuan looked at the opponent. Clearly, this beautiful woman was a bit afraid; her voice trembled slightly. However, for their sake, she still bravely stood her ground. She had some courage, but that was all it amounted to.

Gu Yuchuan slowly approached, the Aura of a wild beast emanating from his body, causing their breathing to become rapid.

"So what if you do? Haven't you realized it yet? With such a commotion, why hasn't your Foundation Establishment Elder arrived yet? Naturally, it's because he cannot come. Am I some lunatic or fool? To come to such a large fishery to fight all alone with only a Qi Refinement Stage cultivation base—have I gone mad?"

The opponent clearly realized this as well. A pair of Emei Piercers appeared in her hands. Unexpectedly, this person was also a master of close-quarters combat. Among Human Race Cultivators, those who understood close-quarters combat were very rare, as most were Spell Cultivators.

"You evil creature, do you really think I'm afraid of you? Today, this lady will test your mettle."

She brandished her Emei Piercers, and behind her, a giant peony appeared. This peony looked very beautiful and possessed immense power, making Gu Yuchuan cautious. He had been mistaken; the opponent's Emei Piercers were not just weapons, but Magical Artifacts, similar to a Flying Sword.

He also reared up his body, ready to attack at any moment.
