89: Green Serpent Spirit Sword

With everything concluded, Gu Yuchuan resumed his waiting. He rarely went out and spent his days in leisure. Every morning, he would chant the Golden Light Incantation for half an hour before waking from his Cultivate state. Then, he would call a few people to sing small tunes or perform storytelling to entertain himself. After all, once he returned to the Cloud Sea Marsh, there wouldn't be so many of the Human Race around, and such recreational activities would certainly be unavailable.

In the afternoon, he would study his Artifact Refining Dao. Although he was truly a Level 2 Artifact Refiner, he had never practiced it with his own hands, so he was certainly not proficient yet. At the very least, he needed to successfully refine a Spiritual Artifact himself, which would greatly assist his combat prowess.

Now that his upper body maintained a human form, it had one benefit: he had hands and could use weapons. He prepared to forge a Long Spear for himself, as his Cultivation Technique included training in close-quarters Martial Skill involving the Long Spear.

Although Cultivators mostly fought using magic power, close-quarters Martial Skill was also very important. Even the high and mighty Immortal often favored close combat, especially the Yao Race, as close combat allowed them to utilize the advantages of their powerful Physical Body.

However, there was a problem: he lacked a forging blueprint and method for a Long Spear. As a Level 2 Artifact Refiner, he was far from the stage where he could create his own Spiritual Artifact. He could create a series of Magical Artifacts, but to create a Spiritual Artifact, he would have to wait until he reached the Golden Core Stage and became a Level 3 Artifact Refiner.

However, he had already entrusted the Black Tortoise Demon General to resolve this matter. The other party said he would keep an eye out and definitely get one for him soon. After all, this wasn't something precious because it could be copied. It wasn't the case that once sold, he couldn't use it himself. What was precious was always the person who refined the artifact, not the artifact forging blueprint.

Still, he did have a forging blueprint for a Spiritual Artifact in his possession: the Green Snake Spiritual Sword. Although he wouldn't use it himself, refining it to sell would be quite good. One had to know that a Spiritual Artifact was worth at least one thousand Low-Grade Spirit Stone, which was ten Mid-Grade Spirit Stone. However, its Materials cost no more than two hundred Low-Grade Spirit Stone. Even if he refined three and only succeeded with one, the profit would still be substantial. He already imagined the scene of himself lying in Spirit Stone to Cultivate in the future; they, the Dragon Kin, were simply obsessed with wealth.

That afternoon, he was attempting to refine the Green Snake Spiritual Sword. He had channeled a vein of Earth Fire into his Immortal Cave; otherwise, he would have no way to refine it, as he was not a fire-attribute Yao.

Before refining, let's look at the power of the Green Snake Spiritual Sword. First, as a light weapon, it must be lightweight and sharp. The weight of the Green Snake Spiritual Sword was moderate, ensuring that a Cultivator could easily wield it with one hand without affecting their agility in the slightest. At the same time, its sharpness made the description of "cutting hair blown upon it" seem trivial; even for a Foundation Establishment Cultivator, it could easily slice through their Physical Body, provided they had no defensive Magic Treasure or Spell.

Of course, as a Spiritual Artifact, it certainly wouldn't have only this function; otherwise, how could it be a Spiritual Artifact usable only by Foundation Establishment Stage Cultivators? It had two other very formidable functions. The first was toxicity. Gu Yuchuan added his own toxin to it. As he advanced to the Foundation Establishment Stage, his toxin became even more potent. If an ordinary Foundation Establishment Stage Cultivator were poisoned, it would be very difficult for them to survive.

The final point was reflected in the two words "Green Snake." When the Green Snake Spiritual Sword was unleashed, through magic power, it could transform into a mighty green giant python to deal with enemies, and its power was immense. These were all the functions of the Green Snake Spiritual Sword; compared to a Magical Artifact, there was truly a world of difference.

Now, Gu Yuchuan began to prepare for the refining process. The Materials for the Green Snake Spiritual Sword were all very precious. Its main material was an Ore called Green Secret Gold. This type of Ore could only form in places with water and toxic gas; it was extremely rare in the natural world, making Green Secret Gold very precious.

The remaining Materials included Gu Yuchuan's own venom, the blood of a spirit snake, and some Green Spirit Iron added to enhance the Concept of light and agile qi. This Green Spirit Iron was the most precious of all these Materials. Although it was also a Level 2 material, it was found in the sky, a place only Cultivators at the Golden Core Stage or above could reach. However, when Golden Core Stage Cultivators went to the sky to find Materials, they would certainly be looking for Level 3 Materials, so Green Spirit Iron was very scarce on the market.

Gu Yuchuan placed all the Materials in front of himself and began the refining process.

The first step of Artifact Refining was always melting the Materials. Here, it was necessary to melt the Green Secret Gold and Green Spirit Iron. He controlled the Earth Fire to slowly envelop both. They were indeed Level 2 Materials, so melting them was quite slow. The Earth Fire required magic power to raise its temperature, and under Gu Yuchuan's magic power, they slowly began to melt.

The first to melt was the Green Secret Gold. The melting point of this gold was generally the lowest among its peers. Gu Yuchuan used magic power to isolate it, preventing its liquid temperature from rising further and causing it to transition from liquid to gas, as that would make Fusion difficult. Slowly, the Green Spirit Iron also melted.

The second step was processing the liquid Materials, namely his toxin and the Essence Blood of the green snake. These things could not be directly fused in. Although they were liquids, whether it was the toxin or the Essence Blood of the green snake, they belonged to the category of yin-natured Materials. Everyone knew that yin-natured things, when placed into high-temperature Materials, would explode, so their cold nature had to be processed first.

However, crude heating would certainly not work, as it would reduce the toxin and the light and agile qi, which would greatly lower the power of the finished product. This was definitely not acceptable. Therefore, it was necessary to use magic power to slowly convert them from liquid to gas; this process was called cold extraction.

This required a full three days. However, Gu Yuchuan had already processed them in advance, so there were two spheres of gas in front of him: one was green and appeared full of Spiritual Qi, and the other was purple, filled with a noble radiance. He fused these two spheres of gas into the Green Secret Gold. Slowly, the solution turned a jade green color. At this moment, it was time to add the Green Spirit Iron. After the two slowly fused, the solution gained some blue hues, and while the color saturation was slightly lower, it looked more antique and had a better texture.

In fact, by this step, the refining of the Spiritual Artifact was already half complete. This was truly because Gu Yuchuan had succeeded in refining it in the Simulation. Otherwise, without failing a few times, he would not have reached this stage.
