114: spatial rift

Gu Yuchuan clearly felt that his Golden Light Incantation had a strong restraining effect on the Demonic Path. This was where the power of the Golden Light Incantation lay: it had a suppressing and purifying effect on all Evil Paths and filthy things. No amount of Devilish Qi could break through the Golden Light Incantation.

This Devil Head was still roaring continuously, as Devilish Qi had already eroded his sanity, leaving him somewhat delirious. It seemed he wasn't a true Demonic Cultivator; he had merely absorbed Devilish Qi in an attempt to perish together with Gu Yuchuan. Unfortunately for him, he wouldn't be able to achieve it.

True Demonic Cultivators are all extremely formidable. After all, the Demonic Path is also a very powerful path among the Myriad Heavens and Realms, capable of achieving immortality. There are even Demonic Path powerhouses in the Immortal Realm. There is even a Heavenly Demon Realm. Demonic Cultivators are divided into three types: Heavenly Demons, Earthly Demons, and Human Demons. At most, he could be considered a member of the Yao Race corrupted by Devilish Qi. Though he possessed some of the mystical properties of the Demonic Path, he hadn't even truly entered the threshold yet.

The spear in Gu Yuchuan's hand continued to whistle with power, its strength growing greater and greater, making it impossible for the demonic creature to resist. It could only let out constant strange cries to vent its emotions. However, his emotions would soon vanish, as his sanity was truly about to dissipate.

"So it turns out demonic creatures are nothing more than this. I was wondering how powerful things from the Demonic Path could be, but I'm truly disappointed."

Unsure which sentence touched his fragile nerves, the Devil Head actually woke up briefly. He looked at Gu Yuchuan, his eyes clearing significantly: "Snake Demon, don't think you've won for sure. I'm telling you, even if I die today, I won't make things easy for you."

After speaking, he extended the tentacles on his body. These tentacles had disgusting suckers on them, and there was even mucus dripping onto the ground. It looked extremely revolting and loathsome.

The tentacles flailed about like several whips, repeatedly lashing out at Gu Yuchuan. The fishy, foul stench made him furrow his brows. Fighting a Devil Head was truly disgusting. This didn't look like a proper Demonic Path at all; though others were Demonic Cultivators, they dealt with ghosts, gods, white bones, and Souls. This guy, as expected, trash is just trash. Even after becoming a Devil Head, he couldn't obtain even a fraction of a Devil Head's true Legacy. It was repulsive.

He threw out his spear and formed hand seals. The spear transformed into a Dragon. This Dragon appeared handsome and mighty with a fierce gaze, but it didn't seem very flexible. To achieve true flexibility, one would need to reach the stage of a Magic Treasure. A Dragon transformed from a Spiritual Artifact only has the form, but lacks the Soul and spirit, and cannot move or attack on its own.

Fortunately, the power of controlling the Dragon was very great. At the very least, those tentacles were easily annihilated. Gu Yuchuan even unleashed several bolts of Divine Lightning. Under this barrage of attacks, the opponent's life force grew weaker and weaker.

The Devil Head also knew that it would be difficult for him to survive, and his eyes were filled with the resolve to die.

"Fine, Snake Demon, you are indeed powerful, but I am no weakling either. Watch me perish together with you!"

After speaking, he flew toward Gu Yuchuan. His own aura became extremely unstable; he was going to self-detonate.

A look of horror also appeared on Gu Yuchuan's face. If a Cultivator of this Rank self-detonated, it would be impossible for him to remain unharmed. Running away now was useless, so he could only face it head-on. He used all of his magic power to make the Golden Light Incantation transform into a tangible shield around his body. This was the only thing he could do.

With a thunderous boom, the Devil Head self-detonated. Gu Yuchuan was knocked unconscious on the ground. The power of this blast was even stronger than a full-strength strike from a Foundation Establishment Sixth Layer Cultivator. It was not easy for him to survive.

In front of him, a rift seemed to appear in the world, and violent power constantly surged out of it. The moment this power emerged, it annihilated the surrounding Spiritual Qi. For some reason, a Spatial Rift had actually appeared here.

Logically, the Qingyun Realm is a Minor Thousand Worlds, and the world's barrier is very stable. Let alone a Foundation Establishment Cultivator self-detonating, even if a Nascent Soul Cultivator self-detonated, it shouldn't be possible for a Spatial Rift to appear.

Actually, all of this was still because of this Devil Head. The Legacy he obtained was indeed a pure and authentic Demonic Path Legacy; it was bait scattered by Demonic Cultivators from the outside world who wanted to invade the Qingyun Realm. With his death, the Devilish Qi exposed the coordinates of this place. Furthermore, a Demonic Path powerhouse had wanted to throw juniors into the Qingyun Realm, and it just so happened to coincide with the Devil Head's self-detonation. This instantly blew open the space. However, by a stroke of luck, the coordinates were shifted, preventing that Demonic Path powerhouse from finding the location.

However, this was not a good thing. The existence of this Spatial Rift posed two major problems. The first was the current issue of violent energy: the Chaos Qi from the Sea of Worlds would continuously enter the world through the rift and destroy the world's Spiritual Qi. Over time, the world would become a world without Spiritual Qi.

Second, the existence of the rift would continuously broadcast the coordinates of the Qingyun Realm into the Sea of Worlds. It was inevitable that some faction would discover these coordinates. When that happened, it would mean a war between two worlds. After all, no world feels that its space and living beings are sufficient. When worlds meet, they will devour each other; this is an excellent method to promote a world's promotion.

However, Gu Yuchuan didn't know such a big thing had happened yet. He was still lying there, not yet awake. Suddenly, a white light flashed, and a young man with long white hair arrived. He saw the rift at a glance. With a wave of his hand, Laws condensed in his hands, and he slowly patched up the rift.

He looked at Gu Yuchuan and continuously performed calculations with his right hand. Instantly, he understood everything that had happened here.

"What an ignorant little fellow. Forget it, since you are a Prodigy of our Yao Race, I'll let you off the hook."

After speaking, he vanished without a trace. The issue of the Spatial Rift was completely resolved. This person was the Lord Yao Sovereign of the Yao Race, a powerhouse at the Fourth Layer of Spirit Transformation Stage and a nearly invincible existence in the Qingyun Realm. Only such a powerhouse could repair the scars of the world.

Over two hours later, Gu Yuchuan finally woke up. He fed himself several Medicinal Pills before he finally recovered. Without stopping, he returned to the Flood Dragon Palace and entered seclusion without alerting anyone. He needed to properly heal his injuries. His injuries appeared very severe, but in reality, they were even more serious than they looked. If he didn't heal them properly, they would certainly leave lasting problems.

What he didn't know was that such a major event had occurred while he was unconscious. This matter was far from over, and there would be many more incidents in the future.
