32: Foundation Building Method

The Yao Race's ability to pass down their flame from generation to generation and thrive endlessly is largely due to their Legacy. Unlike the Human Race, where even those with a Heavenly Spiritual Root, Spirit Bodies, or even Divine Bodies require a master to lead them through the door and must explore the outside world bit by bit, the Yao Race's Legacy is different.

It is like an encyclopedia within your mind. When you wish to Cultivate, the techniques and Divine Abilities of your race manifest. When you encounter something unfamiliar, information about what it is will automatically pop up.

However, these Legacies vary in strength. If your Bloodline is powerful and your ancestors included many experts, your Legacy will be formidable, encompassing all things in the world and leaving you with virtually no doubts. But if your Legacy is lacking—for instance, if your ancestors only reached the level of a Nascent Soul Demon Emperor—then your Legacy might only consist of a single Cultivation Technique and a few Divine Abilities. Even so, it can still serve as the cornerstone of your rise.

As for why the Serpent believed his Bloodline Legacy was excellent, that was a secret among the Dragon Kin. Snake demons who have embarked on the Path of Dragon Transformation receive the Legacy of the Dragon Clan, unaffected by their own Bloodline. Naturally, it would not be weak. Although it is said that the Dragon Clan is much weaker than it was in primeval times, it remains the most powerful race within the Yao Race.

After finishing his business, Gu Yuchuan prepared to leave, but he was called back by Great King Hui She: "I haven't finished yet. This is only the first matter. Why are you in such a hurry? Could it be that you have a little female snake at home waiting for your favor?"

Snakes are naturally lustful, and Great King Hui She himself had over a dozen concubines, so this was purely a joke. However, Gu Yuchuan's face turned red. How long had it been since his Transmigration? This body was still a three-month-old baby!

"Great King, I am not even half a year old. Isn't it a bit early to talk about such things?"

The lewd grin on the Serpent's face froze. With a Bloodline like theirs, a half-year-old was indeed still a nursing baby. He awkwardly changed the subject.

"Alright, let me tell you about Foundation Establishment. This stage is the key to whether a Cultivator can go far in the future and is the most crucial part of early cultivation. If you don't do it right, your future cultivation will come to an end, no matter how noble your Bloodline is."

Hearing this, Gu Yuchuan's expression became much more solemn. He was unclear about such things, so having someone explain them to him was naturally for the best.

It turned out that there were many intricacies within Foundation Establishment. All Cultivators stay at this threshold for a period. Even the Geniuses of immortal Schools and those with the Bloodlines of Exotic Beasts try to accumulate as much as possible. The Serpent had not yet advanced for this very reason. The more you accumulate now, the stronger your combat power will be after advancing, and your future path will be much easier to walk.

Foundation Establishment is divided into four Ranks: Heavenly Stellar Dao Foundation, Earthly Fiend Dao Foundation, Purple Mansion Dao Foundation, and Ordinary Dao Foundation.

It goes without saying that an Ordinary Dao Foundation is the worst, possessing no special qualities. It merely allows you to advance to the Foundation Establishment Realm. A Cultivator who casts this Dao Foundation will most likely remain in the Foundation Establishment Stage for the rest of their life, with less than a one-in-a-thousand chance of advancing to the Golden Core. In other words, without a great Opportunity, their life ends there.

The Purple Mansion Dao Foundation is much better. It opens a Purple Mansion space within the Dantian. This space is equivalent to having another Dantian. There's no need to explain the advantages of having an extra Dantian in combat and cultivation. This is also the Realm that most ambitious Cultivators aim for.

The third is the Earthly Fiend Dao Foundation. This level is no longer something ordinary Cultivators or Schools can scheme for. It requires Earthly Fiend Qi. Using this on the basis of a Purple Mansion Dao Foundation, one adds a halo transformed from Earthly Fiend Qi to the Dao Foundation. Not only does it take one's magic power and cultivation speed to the next level, but it also grants an Earthly Fiend Divine Ability. One must know that the Seventy-Two Earthly Fiend Divine Abilities can be used until Immortal Ascension, which shows their preciousness.

Finally, there is the Heavenly Stellar Dao Foundation. Unlike the Earthly Fiend Dao Foundation, it requires Heavenly Stellar Qi and forms a Heavenly Stellar Great Divine Ability. You should know that if you aren't gifted a Heavenly Stellar Great Divine Ability at this time, you will only have a tiny chance to comprehend one after your Immortal Ascension.

Foundation Establishment is actually the first threshold by which the heavens filter Cultivators. If you can cast a good Dao Foundation, there are naturally rewards. According to the Serpent, there have been many stories of Cultivators with a Heavenly Stellar Dao Foundation or Earthly Fiend Dao Foundation at the Great Perfection of Foundation Establishment defeating a Golden Core. Both of their eyes were filled with yearning.

Gu Yuchuan was now full of fighting spirit. He hadn't undergone Transmigration just to be a low-level Cultivator. He wanted either the Heavenly Stellar Dao Foundation or the Earthly Fiend Dao Foundation. As for the Purple Mansion Dao Foundation and Ordinary Dao Foundation—sorry, he wasn't interested in them.

He looked at the Serpent and raised an eyebrow: "Great King, you have been accumulating for so long. Are you planning to charge for the Heavenly Stellar Dao Foundation?"

The Serpent raised his head, looking full of confidence: "Naturally not. I have schemed for many years but haven't found any news of Heavenly Stellar Qi. However, I do have a strand of Earthly Fiend Qi in my hand called the Pot-Heaven Qi. I have prepared for so many years specifically for this Earthly Fiend Dao Foundation, and it is nearly complete."

Gu Yuchuan widened his mouth, his eyes full of envy. No way, buddy. I was just flattering you to liven up the atmosphere, and you can actually cast an Earthly Fiend Dao Foundation? We were just talking about how difficult the Heavenly Stellar and Earthly Fiend levels are, and it turns out you have it? He stared wide-eyed at the Serpent.

The Serpent laughed loudly: "This is also my Opportunity."

This sentence was a warning. In fact, the Serpent had hidden this matter for many years. He spoke of it today, firstly to draw closer to Gu Yuchuan, and secondly because the Earthly Fiend Qi had already been refined into his body and could not be taken by others. Otherwise, he would not have mentioned it.

Gu Yuchuan also realized his emotions had gone too far. He could be envious, but he couldn't show any other emotions.

"Congratulations, Great King. Once you advance to Foundation Establishment, it will be like a flood dragon entering the sea—nothing will be able to stop you. In the future, it's even possible for you to become a Golden Core Demon King or a Nascent Soul Demon Emperor."

Although the Serpent flicked his tail and said it wasn't so, his mouth was grinning so wide it wouldn't close. Clearly, the flattery made him very happy.

"Good, I'll take your auspicious words. I advise you not to rush during the Qi Refinement Stage. The gap between Earthly Fiend and Purple Mansion is like that between a swan in the sky and an ant on the ground—the difference is far too vast."

Listen to him talk... Is it because I don't like Tsinghua or Peking University that I'm not going? He now reasonably suspected the Serpent was showing off.

After chatting for a few more moments, Gu Yuchuan left. Only when he saw Bai Ming did he remember that he had forgotten to ask for an identity for the child.
