172: Chapter 174 Blitzkrieg of the Zerg Hive: A Giant Leap for Mankind!
Vroom— Vehicles drove across the creek, sending ripples across the water's surface.
Driving into the dense forest, into the region that could make Poland great again, Hakimi excitedly honked his horn.
Beep-beep— Beep-beep—
Just before the convoy was about to enter the dense forest, he stopped the car.
He immediately opened the car door and stepped onto the ground, which was covered in humus.
"Ah~~" He gazed up at the sky in ecstasy.
How wonderful, this land flowing with milk and honey!
He was the first man in the Three-Party Alliance to step into the Heart of the Hive, the first man to conquer this land!
His achievement was as great as Columbus and Gagarin's—no, perhaps even greater?
"This is one small step for me, but a giant leap for mankind."
Hakimi looked proudly at his adjutant. "What do you say?"
"The Commander's valor is unmatched," the adjutant said.
"Hahahaha," Hakimi laughed, looking toward the Insect Nest.
"Take a squad in and catch a few bugs; that stuff might convince the Alliance to tilt more resources toward us."
The Three-Party Alliance had conducted much research into the monstrous combat power of the Dragon Nation.
One study indicated that the Dragon Nation was likely becoming stronger through mutual research during their battles with the Xenomorphs.
Some countries in the Alliance had also unlocked research-type buildings, and they were in great need of Xenomorph corpses for study.
They believed that since the Dragon Nation could become stronger while fighting the Xenomorphs, they could too.
The adjutant received the order and led two light infantry platoons into the dense forest.
Their mission was to sneak into the forest and secretly capture two bugs.
Hakimi certainly knew he could lead a large force to march in and blast the bugs and their nest to pieces.
But if the process was too easy, he wouldn't get further support from the Alliance.
He had to demonstrate a tense frontline situation to demand more resources; a few light tanks couldn't support Poland in becoming a major power.
If the pioneer force couldn't even defeat the guard dogs of the Heart of the Hive, how could they attack the Dragon Nation?
Hakimi laughed, honking the horn as he escorted the adjutant's squad into the forest.
Poland would ascend the throne amidst the cheers of all nations, ascending upon the blood of the Xenomorphs and the Dragon Nation.
Hakimi Nostav would make Poland great again!
Beep-beep— Beep-beep— Rustle—
"Captain, it seems there's a sound?" asked a soldier holding an automatic rifle.
The adjutant signaled for everyone to be quiet; they must have entered the territory of the Insect Swarm.
This was a group of bloodthirsty Vicious Beasts, and they should not be taken lightly under any circumstances.
He knew that bringing only soldiers into the dense forest was the wrong choice, but he couldn't refuse the order.
"Don't think about capturing them alive; these creatures certainly won't give you..."
The adjutant choked on his words halfway through, because the soldier who had just spoken to him had been sliced in half at the waist.
Blood gushed out, and intestines spilled onto the ground with a wet splatter.
"Enemy attack! Enemy attack!!" He roared with all his might while firing his weapon.
Rustle-rustle-rustle— Ahhh—
In an instant, countless insect cries rang out in the dense forest.
The sound of bullets leaving chambers and screams of agony were endless.
"What's the situation!" Hakimi stood up abruptly from the open-top command vehicle.
He looked toward the dense forest, where faint screams could be heard in the distance.
"What sound is this? The screams of Xenomorphs?" Hakimi turned to ask.
The soldier beside him shook his head, gripping his gun tightly.
"Don't they know to keep it down? What if they attract the main force of the Insect Swarm?"
Whoosh— As Hakimi was speaking, a black object was thrown from the sky and landed on the hood of Hakimi's car.
It was the severed half of the body of the adjutant he had sent in to command the battle; he had died with his eyes wide open, staring right at Hakimi.
"How is this possible! How is this possible!" Hakimi scrambled away from the command vehicle, terrified.
"I gave you the best automatic rifles, yet you can't even handle a few damn bugs!?"
"A bunch of trash, a bunch of trash!!"
Rustle-rustle-rustle— Rustle-rustle-rustle—
The dense sound of insect chirping drifted out from the forest, like a funeral knell of death.
"Form up! Form up!! Kill these damn bugs!"
Hakimi snatched a gun from a soldier's hand and ran toward the tanks in the rear while shouting.
If the main force of the Insect Swarm attacked, only the armored tanks would be safe.
The soldiers around him formed a tight formation, nearly 500 automatic rifles from a battalion all loaded and ready.
In addition, there were 3 tanks and two machine gun squad positions.
Looking at the powerful firepower before him, Hakimi's fear gradually dissipated, replaced by anger.
The scene of his adjutant's severed body being thrown out replayed in his mind.
He wasn't angry about the adjutant's death, but rather at the provocation of the Insect Swarm.
And this provocation had made him panic, causing him to lose face in front of his soldiers!
He was the leader of Poland; how could he run away?
Thinking of this, Hakimi stopped and turned back to face the dense forest.
A few uncivilized beasts dared to threaten him!
Just because you fought against the Dragon Nation guys, you've gained some confidence!
"All units, listen up! Open fire with everything you've got! Don't save ammunition, don't..."
Hiss—
Countless hisses rang out, and a swarm of insects, like a tide, poured out from the dense forest.
Those Xenomorphs were different from what had been seen in the Nations Hegemony Tournament; their shells seemed to be wrapped in a layer of blue crystals.
Rat-tat-tat—
The soldiers opened fire with full force, and countless bullets poured out.
The two heavy machine guns of the machine gun squad howled crazily, continuously spewing tongues of fire.
However, in the face of this net of bullets, the Bug Swarm Tide showed no sign of stopping at all!
The Xenomorphs charged through the hail of bullets, and it wasn't until they reached the first row of soldiers that cracks appeared on their shells.
The two armies clashed, and the slaughter began.
Unarmored soldiers were no different from lambs in front of the Xenomorphs.
With a sweep of the insect blades, soldiers were cut in half at the waist, with no power to fight back.
Bang-bang—
The three tanks fired armor-piercing shells, finally scoring some hits within the Insect Swarm.
Hakimi was stunned by the scene before him; the sound of the artillery explosions pulled him back to reality.
He threw away his gun and ran frantically toward the tanks.
There were still tanks; as long as there were heavy armored tanks, the Xenomorphs couldn't do anything to him...
Boom—
An explosion rang out, and a Xenomorph larger than a tank burst out from the ground.
It directly flipped the light tank over from the side, then opened its serrated mouthparts.
Aiming at the turret, it bit off half of the turret in one bite.
Whir-hmm— The iron armor deformed with a wail.
