47: Chapter 47 Fearless Deaths, Follow Me to Slay the Enemy!

The northern wall.

The corrosive solution had already dissolved the wall to a height of nearly two meters.

Soon, the Xenomorphs would be able to slaughter their way into the territory through that breach.

The soldiers could not touch the corrosive solution, but the Xenomorphs could pass through it unscathed.

If that siege unit were allowed to continue attacking, the breaches in the wall would only grow in number, and the defensive pressure would become increasingly immense!

A sniper squad must be established!

Su Yang looked toward General Li Xin in the center of the territory, his thoughts racing as he began to mobilize troops.

Soon, the sniper squad was formed.

General Li Xin served as the vanguard, while Armored Elite Warrior Chen Wu and Armored Elite Warrior Zhao Zhang led six Armored Elite Soldiers to provide cover.

This was the most elite combat force under Su Yang's command!

"Your Majesty, rest assured, we will surely present the enemy general's head!"

General Li Xin bowed solemnly, then waved his hand, leading the troops toward the east gate.

They needed to exit the territory from the east gate, then travel north through the Insect Swarm to snipe that Xenomorph giant cannon.

"Open the gate!"

The east gate opened, and General Li Xin led the Armored Elite squad as they charged straight out, disappearing into the black fog.

Boom—

Another Xenomorph projectile crashed onto the wall like a meteorite; three soldiers were unable to retreat in time, and their armor was instantly depleted.

Under the cover of the black fog, these Xenomorph projectiles were difficult to predict in advance.

The previously struck section of the wall had already melted away, and countless Stinger Bugs swarmed in through it.

Su Yang urgently ordered the soldiers to abandon the wall and retreat to defend the two breaches.

At the same time, he consolidated the soldiers stationed on the other three walls to defend the north side with full force.

With the wall breached, until General Li Xin succeeded, the Armored Soldiers were the last line of defense!

...

Inside the black fog, steam surged, and a silvery light shimmered.

The sniper squad advanced at full speed through the dense forest, constantly swinging their weapons to kill the attacking Xenomorphs.

General Li Xin took the lead, clearing the path ahead.

His silver spear danced in a circle, sweeping away all obstacles in front of him.

Armored Elite Warrior Chen Wu and Armored Elite Warrior Zhao Zhang led the Armored Elite Soldiers to defend the left, right, and rear.

Even deep within the enemy camp, the formation remained orderly as they advanced rapidly.

Su Yang continuously sent them real-time locations and adjusted their direction through the interface.

This allowed the squad to confirm their direction even within the black fog.

As they got closer to the Xenomorph giant cannon, the resistance they encountered became increasingly tenacious.

The surrounding Xenomorphs surged in like a tide; they were clearly there to protect that giant cannon.

Just as the squad's speed was slowed down by the Insect Swarm, General Li Xin raised his arm and shouted.

"Fearless of death, follow me to kill the enemy!"

"Strike terror into the enemy's hearts, uphold our nation's prestige!"

As soon as General Li Xin's roar rang out, the sword-swinging speed of the Armored Elite Soldiers surrounding him accelerated abruptly.

[General Skill: Command Vanguard]

[Skill Effect: The morale of all melee friendly units within a certain range greatly increases, improving combat capability by 20%]

With the buff, the squad regained its speed, advancing like a hot knife through butter!

Soon, the Xenomorph that fired the corrosive projectiles appeared before their eyes.

It was a behemoth, three times the size of a Giant Insect.

Its back carried a massive, beetle-like black shell.

Beneath the shell, it stored the corrosive projectiles it launched.

The entire back stored a total of six projectiles, three of which had already been fired.

Now, the fourth shell panel was slowly opening, revealing the pulsating tumor inside.

The fourth corrosive projectile was launching!

Surrounding this behemoth were countless Stinger Bugs, and in the rear, Spitting Insects were constantly firing insect spikes.

Clearly, this was an important strategic unit, so many forces had been dispatched to defend it.

Facing the tide of enemies, the squad did not retreat in the slightest.

General Li Xin, under the cover of the soldiers, fought his way to the front line.

He then leaped high, enduring the insect spikes attacking from the rear, vaulting over the Bug Swarm Tide blocking the front.

He brandished his long spear, aiming at the Xenomorph's head.

He threw the silver spear like a javelin.

Hiss—

Steam surged, and the silver spear shot into the Xenomorph's skull like a stream of light.

The spear tip spun at high speed, and the sharp blades shredded the entire head.

Brain matter, blood, and insect shell fragments flew out in a chaotic mix.

The dark purple tumor on its back instantly lost its color, turning into a pitch-black stone.

Its life was rapidly fading away.

With a loud boom, the Xenomorph giant cannon collapsed to the ground, kicking up countless dust.

[Killed Level 6 Tyranid Exterminator, command points +500]

Countless sharp screeches rang out; the surrounding Insect Swarm went mad and surrounded them.

"Retreat!"

General Li Xin retrieved his spear and shouted, leading the Armored Elite squad back.

Su Yang had already issued them the order to return and defend the territory.

As General Li Xin led the troops back, the soldiers within the territory were in the midst of a bitter battle.

The northern wall had been bombed with three large holes, and the Insect Swarm swarmed in.

Without the wall as the first line of defense, the Armored Elite Soldiers found it difficult to quickly handle the Insect Swarm.

Only by waiting for the Crossbowman to finish reloading could they slightly alleviate the offensive.

The situation, which was gradually falling into a disadvantage, ended with General Li Xin's return with the troops.

"Clear out the aliens, defend our territory!!"

General Li Xin shouted to the sky, activating his general skill.

All Armored Elite Soldiers within the territory received a morale boost.

A 20% combat power increase might not be much when applied to one person.

But when applied to an entire unit, the effect would be astonishing!

Encouraged, the Armored Elite Soldiers, who were previously struggling to defend, immediately launched a counterattack.

General Li Xin also led his troops to provide support, heading straight for the enemy's rear line of Spitting Insects.

He fought his way into the enemy formation alone with his spear.

Steam surged, and the silver spear danced, forcing the Insect Swarm to retreat step by step.

The front-line troops successfully halted the Insect Swarm's offensive, and the Crossbowmen in the rear also completed reloading in time.

A volley from 20 Armored Crossbowmen directly wiped out more than half of the Stinger Bugs within the territory.

The Insect Swarm's offensive was completely shattered.

Only until this moment did Su Yang's heart finally relax completely.

It was fortunate that he chose to summon General Li Xin before the Arrival Night.

Otherwise, how to deal with that Tyranid Exterminator would have become a major problem.

As General Li Xin led the troops to recapture the wall breaches, the battle drew to a close.

They guarded the breaches and dismantled the last wave of the main Insect Swarm force.

Then, they charged out of the city gate to hunt down the remaining rabble.

After half an hour of bitter fighting, the Arrival Night battle finally ended.

Inside and outside the territory, corpses were strewn everywhere, and broken limbs and remains were scattered all around.

The Arrival Night was truly worthy of being the battle with the highest mortality rate; the offensive was indeed fierce.

Furthermore, Su Yang had never expected that the Xenomorphs' new unit type would be a siege unit.

As future battles became more complex, the Xenomorphs' offensive methods would also become even more troublesome.

He must seize every moment to level up!

While the soldiers cleaned up the territory, Su Yang sat quietly to organize the problems and gains of the night.
