46: Chapter 46 Top-Tier Heroic-Level Combat Power!

"Reload ammunition!"

Under the operation of the giant mechanical winch, the three finger-thick crossbow strings returned to their positions.

The bowl-sized bronze crossbow bolts were fired again, shooting into the black fog.

Two crossbow bolts pierced the ground 500 meters in front of the city wall.

The powerful impact directly blasted out a giant crater, and green liquid gushed out from the pit.

A perfect kill; the ballista tower successfully eliminated two more Giant Insects.

The last two remaining Giant Insects were not blocked and entered the territory from underground.

Following closely behind them was the Insect Swarm army advancing underground.

"All generals, heed my order: form ranks and face the enemy!"

Su Yang waved his hand and shouted into the air.

Buzz—

The Armored Crossbowmen fired a volley, the dense crossbow bolts forming a rain of arrows in the sky.

The moment they landed, the surging Insect Swarm turned into mush.

Within the black fog, the Tyranid Spitting Insect troops took their positions and began to counterattack.

Dense insect spines were fired continuously at the city wall.

Relying on the crenellated walls and their own Imperial Armor, the Armored Elite Soldiers withstood the offensive and continuously slaughtered the Stinger Bugs swarming up the city wall.

The 6-meter-high reinforced city wall stood like a mountain between the Bug Swarm Tide and the soldiers.

To climb the city wall, the Insect Swarm had to stack 3 to 4 Stinger Bugs.

In other words, under the restriction of the city wall, no matter how many insects there were,

only a quarter could participate in the battle, while the rest could only serve as stepping stones.

Moreover, whenever the crossbowmen finished reloading and launched a new volley, these stepping stones would be shot into sieves.

Kill notifications cascaded across Su Yang's panel like a waterfall.

...

The north wall seemed to have transformed into a Giant Insect-grinding machine.

The corpses of countless Xenomorphs were scattered across this land.

The sound of steam venting, the operation of Imperial Armor, shouts, roars...

Countless sounds intertwined and swirled over this battlefield.

Relying on the reinforced city wall, as long as the Great Qin Armored Elite Soldiers and crossbowmen had enough energy and ammunition,

no matter how many troops the Tyranid race committed, they could not breach the territory from the front.

But they had more than just this one method.

Boom—

A huge sound of breaking soil rang out.

Inside the city wall, two Giant Insects simultaneously broke through the soil layer and leaped onto the ground.

In the cave beneath them, there was the sound of countless Xenomorphs advancing.

If the hole could not be plugged, the Stinger Bug army would directly enter the interior.

At that point, being attacked from both front and rear, no matter how strong the Imperial Armor army was, they would fall into a difficult situation.

Could General Li Xin hold them off?

Su Yang looked toward the north side of the territory.

He saw General Li Xin standing against the wind in the black fog, facing the two Giant Insects directly.

The silver spear in his hand emitted a chilling gleam that struck fear into the heart.

Hiss—

Without any warning, General Li Xin launched himself instantly.

Back, waist, elbows, knees...

The steam devices located all over his body fired instantly, and high-pressure steam gushed out rapidly.

Under the tremendous thrust, General Li Xin almost teleported in front of the Giant Insect.

A point of silver light lit up, and then the spear struck like a Dragon.

With the added force of the huge impact, General Li Xin's silver spear pierced straight into the Giant Insect's skull!

After piercing in, he gripped the silver spear and twisted it.

Various gears on the spear shaft began to rotate rapidly.

The originally slender and smooth spear shaft popped out countless tiny cutting blades.

With a flick of the spear, all the blades began to rotate around the shaft.

The entire silver spear, starting from the tip, transformed into a drill!

Hiss—

High-pressure steam sprayed from General Li Xin's elbows and the spear shaft, continuously increasing the impact force.

Accompanied by a huge buzzing sound, the silver spear actually pierced directly through the Giant Insect's incredibly hard skull!!

The Giant Insect let out a wail and crashed to the ground.

General Li Xin did not hesitate at all, pulling out the spear and turning.

The steam devices operated again, striking directly at the other Giant Insect that wanted to burrow into the ground and escape.

Splat—

This strike hit its torso directly from the side.

The spear tip rotated at high speed, mincing its body from the inside into meat paste.

The minced internal organs flowed out of the body along with thick green blood.

The last Giant Insect collapsed to the ground before it could even wail.

Behind it, a group of Stinger Bugs had already rushed out of the hole.

General Li Xin twisted his long spear and swung it twice in succession.

Instantly slaughtering the 7 Stinger Bugs that surrounded him, as easily as killing chickens.

Immediately after, he reached his left hand into the Giant Insect's body and yanked it backward violently.

His full-body steam power devices roared, pulling the huge Giant Insect directly over the insect hole, blocking the entrance.

Thus, all six Giant Insects were dealt with, leaving only the Tyranids attacking the city outside.

Su Yang watched the whole thing with his mouth agape; this battle was simply breathtaking!

If the Armored Soldiers had handled it, they would have needed to send at least 10 soldiers for one Giant Insect, and there would be no guarantee of coming out unscathed.

But handing it to General Li Xin, solving two Giant Insects took only 10 seconds, easily and effortlessly.

Is this the combat power of a Hero-level unit!?

As expected of a unit summoned for 10,000 command points; it was truly too powerful!

Su Yang quickly calmed himself down and returned his gaze to the main battlefield.

With the Giant Insects dealt with, this battle was almost over.

Next, all that was needed was...

While he was thinking, a large white dot appeared on the reconnaissance panel, rapidly approaching the territory.

What is this!!

Before Su Yang could think, a pale purple sphere descended from the sky and smashed onto the city wall.

Boom—

The 5-meter-diameter sphere burst open, and the dark purple liquid inside instantly gushed outward.

The liquid was some kind of strong acid solution, and in an instant, it corroded a large pit into the city wall.

The corrosion released dense white smoke and a pungent odor.

Fortunately, the Armored Soldiers located on that section of the wall reacted in time and were not hit directly.

However, just by coming into contact with a little bit of the solution while fleeing, it corroded the Imperial Armor on the corresponding parts of their bodies.

A new type of Tyranid!!

It's the one mentioned in the Scout unit's intelligence!

Su Yang opened the panel and only saw, far beyond the range of the ballista tower, a white dot three times larger than a Giant Insect standing there!!

It could actually attack from such a long distance!

A Tyranid siege unit!?

Su Yang's eyes trembled.

The ballista tower was the unit with the longest range in the territory; if even the ballista tower couldn't hit it, other units had no way either.

The addition of this Tyranid giant cannon would likely turn the tide of the battle!
