154: Unexpected date

Lu Chen's car slowly drove into the high-end apartment complex, its wheels rolling on the smooth pavement, emitting a faint sound.

In a tranquil corner of the apartment complex, under a tall sycamore tree, a figure stood gracefully.

The woman's long, ink-black hair was casually draped over her shoulders, a few strands gently fluttering in the breeze like agile black silk.

She wore a fitted pale blue dress, its cut just right, perfectly outlining her curvaceous figure, every turn of its lines exuding feminine softness and elegance.

The dress fabric shimmered with a faint luster in the sunlight, like a shimmering lake, gently rising and falling with her breath.

A delicate crystal brooch was pinned at the neckline, its small crystals reflecting colorful light, adding a touch of nobility and splendor to her.

Her legs were straight and slender, encased in a pair of flesh-colored stockings, making them appear even more delicate and alluring, and she wore a pair of high heels, their heels softly tapping the ground, producing a crisp sound.

The woman's face was even more exquisite and pretty, her skin as fair as snow, tinged with a faint pink, like peach blossoms in full bloom in spring.

Beneath her curved eyebrows, a pair of large eyes resembled a clear spring, bright and lucid, sparkling with agile light, occasionally revealing a hint of playfulness and cunning.

Below her high nose bridge was a slightly upturned cherry-like mouth, with a faint smile at the corners, as if waiting for someone, or perhaps lost in her own beautiful thoughts.

The breeze blew, the sycamore leaves rustled, and occasionally a few fell, gently swirling around her figure.

She raised her hand to gently brush a strand of hair from her ear, that unintentional movement natural and elegant, like a beautiful painting.

She stood there quietly, blending with her surroundings, forming a beautiful landscape on her own, attracting the gaze of every passerby.

Lu Chen drove his understated and steady sedan, slowly approaching where Yu Miaoyin stood.

When the car came to a steady stop in front of Yu Miaoyin, he gently pressed the brake, rolled down the window, his smile even brighter, warm like the spring sun.

"Get in."

His voice was deep and magnetic, clearly reaching Yu Miaoyin's ears in the quiet atmosphere.

Yu Miaoyin's eyes instantly lit up like stars when she saw Lu Chen arrive, and her lips curved into a surprised smile, radiantly beautiful.

She instinctively lifted her skirt slightly, a natural and elegant movement, then opened the car door and gracefully sat into the passenger seat.

After settling in, she gently smoothed her skirt, clasped her hands elegantly on her lap, then turned to look at Lu Chen, her eyes full of unconcealed anticipation and a smile.

Lu Chen closed the car window, and the car immediately became quiet, leaving only the faint sound of their breathing.

He wasn't driving the flashy sports car he usually drove today, but a sleek, understated sedan, its body exuding a subtle sense of luxury.

Lu Chen's lips held a faint, shallow smile as he softly said, "I didn't expect you to be so busy, yet still have time to ask me out."

Although he had left his contact information, Lu Chen truly hadn't expected her to ask him out so quickly.

He had originally thought he'd need to create a few more opportunities, so when he saw the message Yu Miaoyin sent him that morning, Lu Chen was stunned, thinking he had misread it.

He had planned to do morning exercises with Gu Xiaoxiao, but after seeing the message, he no longer felt like exercising, quickly got dressed, made some arrangements, and drove here.

Yu Miaoyin chuckled softly, her laughter clear and melodious, like silver bells happily echoing in the car.

"I'm not busy at all. After the concert, I have nothing to do. I just wanted to explore Yanjing City, but I had no one to accompany me. My Senior Sisters are all incredibly busy, so I thought of you. You're not planning not to accompany me, are you?"

She blinked her large, watery eyes, a hint of coquetry in her gaze, a look that no one could refuse.

Lu Chen's lips curved upwards, "You've found the right person today, I happen to have time."

"Really?" Yu Miaoyin's eyes widened, sparkling, her face beaming with joy.

Lu Chen hummed, tilting his head slightly, his eyes full of doting affection, "Accompanying a beauty like you shopping, even if I didn't have time, I'd make time."

Yu Miaoyin couldn't help but cover her mouth and chuckle, her laughter like a gentle spring breeze, softly caressing one's heart, "How come I didn't notice you had such a glib side that day?"

Lu Chen also laughed, a hint of playfulness flashing in his eyes, and he said meaningfully, "There's still a lot about me you haven't seen."

Yu Miaoyin smiled, about to speak.

Just then, she suddenly paused, her small nose twitched slightly, she sniffed lightly, then looked at Lu Chen with a hint of suspicion,

"Why do you smell of perfume?"

Lu Chen's expression remained calm, his demeanor unchanged, and he said lightly, "I worked too long last night and didn't have time to shower, so I sprayed some perfume before leaving, afraid I'd smell. What, does it not smell good?"

Yu Miaoyin smiled, a look of sudden understanding appearing in her eyes, and she nodded, saying, "It smells very good."

Lu Chen started the car and said softly, "Then I'll take you for a drive around nearby first."

Yu Miaoyin obediently nodded, "Okay."

The car slowly drove out of the apartment complex, heading towards the bustling city center.

Their first stop was a lively shopping mall.

The mall was bustling with people, and various goods were dazzling.

Yu Miaoyin was like a joyful little bird, gracefully flitting between the various shops.

One moment she would pick up a new style of clothing and hold it up to herself, the fabric shimmering with a soft luster under the lights.

She turned, her eyes questioning, looking at Lu Chen, "What do you think of this one?"

Lu Chen, meanwhile, always wore a slight smile, nodded gently, and patiently offered his opinion, "It suits you very well, making you look even more beautiful."

Hearing this, Yu Miaoyin's cheeks flushed slightly, and the smile on her lips grew even brighter.
