180: I am not afraid of mosquito bites because there are too many of them.

After a long while, Liu Ruyan slowly came back to her senses.

Her hair was disheveled, a few stray strands clinging to her sweaty cheeks, making her face appear even more flushed and rosy, like a ripe peach, exuding an alluring glow.

Her chest rose and fell slightly as she looked at the messy office desk, the files scattered across the floor, and the two clear handprints on the huge floor-to-ceiling window, her heart a mix of shame and indignation.

Liu Ruyan bit her lower lip, her pearly teeth almost digging into her tender lips, her eyes filled with shame and indignation, as she glared fiercely at Lu Chen, who was sitting on the office desk behind her.

At this moment, Lu Chen was constantly fiddling with the glasses in his hand, looking completely at ease, as if everything that had just happened had nothing to do with him.

“You really are a…” Liu Ruyan began, but didn't finish her sentence.

Lu Chen raised the glasses in his hand, a playful smile on his lips, then pulled the computer screen in front of Liu Ruyan.

Liu Ruyan’s gaze met the screen, her pupils instantly contracted, and she froze in place.

What was playing on the screen was their latest video from just now.

She opened her mouth, her throat feeling as if something was caught in it, and the words she was about to say were instantly swallowed back, her face alternating between pale and red.

Lu Chen looked at her embarrassment, chuckled softly, his voice deep and magnetic: “I really am a what?”

Liu Ruyan hurriedly lowered her head, not daring to meet Lu Chen’s eyes, and forced a smile that was uglier than crying, stammering:

“You… you really are a humorous and courageous man…”

As soon as the words left her mouth, she regretted them, her cheeks burning hot, almost red enough to drip blood.

Liu Ruyan looked up, gazing piteously at Lu Chen, her eyes full of pleading: “Can you… delete these videos?”

Her voice trembled slightly, as if she was about to cry the next second.

Lu Chen’s lips curved upwards slightly, revealing a meaningful smile, and he slowly shook his head: “Of course not.”

Liu Ruyan’s eyes instantly dimmed, a flicker of despair and regret passing through them.

She had originally only wanted to get back her previous videos, but unexpectedly, not only did she not get them back, but she also filmed a new set.

The most crucial thing was that she seemed to have only symbolically resisted at the beginning, and then cooperated.

It was simply too outrageous… Thinking of how she felt just now, Liu Ruyan’s heart became even more complicated; she found that she didn't reject Lu Chen at all… on the contrary, she seemed to be enjoying it… Was this her true nature?

Liu Ruyan’s heart was incredibly complex.

Lu Chen stood up and slowly walked towards Liu Ruyan, each step seeming to tread on her heart.

He stopped in front of her, leaning down slightly, the distance between them so close that they could feel each other’s breath.

“There’s no need to look so angry,”

Lu Chen reached out a finger and gently lifted Liu Ruyan’s chin, forcing her to meet his gaze, “You weren’t like this just now.”

Liu Ruyan’s face instantly flushed even more; she turned her head, trying to avoid Lu Chen’s playful gaze, but he held her firmly.

Lu Chen watched her, the smile on his face gradually fading, his eyes becoming cold and sharp, his voice deep and icy:

“Don’t try any more tricks. This was just a small lesson for you. If there’s a next time, it won’t be this simple.”

Liu Ruyan’s body trembled slightly; she gritted her teeth, her eyes filled with unwillingness and grievance, yet she dared not act out.

After Lu Chen finished speaking, he reached out and touched Liu Ruyan’s face again, his fingers gently playing with her hair, his movements seemingly gentle, yet they made Liu Ruyan shiver all over.

She subconsciously wanted to pull away, but dared not move, only allowing Lu Chen’s hand to roam over her face.

“What exactly do you want?” Liu Ruyan finally couldn’t help but ask, her voice choked with tears.

Lu Chen straightened up, crossed his arms over his chest, and looked down at Liu Ruyan, a complex emotion flashing in his eyes:

“I just want you to understand that some things, once they start, there’s no turning back.”

A trace of confusion flashed in Liu Ruyan’s eyes; she didn’t understand Lu Chen’s meaning, but she dared not ask again.

“From now on, be obedient,” Lu Chen narrowed his eyes slightly, his voice carrying an undeniable command, “Otherwise, you know the consequences.”

Liu Ruyan bit her lower lip and nodded silently, tears welling up in her eyes, but she firmly held them back from falling.

Lu Chen looked at her and smiled slightly.

He turned around, walked to the office desk, picked up the glasses and the USB drive, and put them into his pocket.

“Remember what I said,” Lu Chen said, his back to Liu Ruyan, his voice deep and icy, “Don’t try to challenge my bottom line.”

Liu Ruyan stood rooted to the spot, looking at Lu Chen’s back, her heart a mix of emotions.

After Lu Chen left the office, he walked towards Yu Miaoyin’s office, feeling refreshed.

At this moment, Yu Miaoyin was sitting in front of the computer, checking documents, her expression focused and serious.

Her long, raven hair fell smoothly over her shoulders, a few stray strands casually slipping down, perfectly revealing half of her exquisite profile.

Her eyes, like clear lake water, were intently fixed on the screen, her long eyelashes subtly fluttering with her gaze, and beneath her high nose bridge was a beautifully contoured mouth, currently slightly pursed.

Her fingers glided gently over the documents, her movements elegant and natural, as if she was one with her surroundings, exuding an intellectual charm.

Lu Chen stood at the doorway, smiled slightly, then gently knocked on the door.

Yu Miaoyin turned her head at the sound, and when she saw it was Lu Chen, a hint of surprise flashed in her eyes, her lips curved into a sweet smile as she said, “You’re here.”

Lu Chen had a faint smile on his lips, nodded slightly, and softly asked, “How’s the work coming along?”

Yu Miaoyin’s face instantly showed a hint of dejection, and she sighed softly, saying:

“It’s alright, it’s just a bit unfamiliar. I haven’t done this kind of work before, and many procedures and details are still new to me, so it feels a bit strenuous.”

Lu Chen smiled gently, his tone carrying a hint of encouragement:

“It’s always like this when you start a new job, don’t rush. Get more exposure, slowly familiarize yourself with the processes, accumulate experience, and it will naturally become easier. If you don’t understand anything, you can always ask me.”

Yu Miaoyin looked up, her eyes full of gratitude, and nodded vigorously: “Okay, I’ll work hard.”

Lu Chen looked at Yu Miaoyin’s serious demeanor, his heart stirred, and he continued:

“Don’t be so busy for now; it’s not good to just bury yourself in work. How about I take you around the company to get familiar with the environment? This will also help with your future work.”

Yu Miaoyin pondered for a moment, felt that Lu Chen’s words made a lot of sense, and readily agreed: “Okay, then I’ll trouble you.”

So, Yu Miaoyin stood up and followed Lu Chen out of the office.

Just as they stepped out, they happened to see Liu Ruyan walking over, her steps a little unsteady.

Yu Miaoyin saw her, paused slightly, and out of politeness, her lips curved into a faint smile, and she nodded gently.

Liu Ruyan watched Yu Miaoyin and Lu Chen standing together, both with smiles on their faces, looking happy and well-matched, a complex emotion flashing in her eyes.

She forced a smile and nodded stiffly in response.

However, Lu Chen acted as if he hadn’t seen Liu Ruyan at all, not even glancing at her, and walked straight ahead with Yu Miaoyin.

Yu Miaoyin followed Lu Chen’s steps, and for some reason, she was in an exceptionally good mood.

When she recalled Liu Ruyan’s seemingly envious gaze, her lips unconsciously curved upwards, and a happy smile appeared on her face.

The smile was like a blooming flower in spring, bright and radiant, and her eyes sparkled with joy.

Originally, Yu Miaoyin had some worries about her situation in the company, after all, it was an unfamiliar environment, and she was new to it.

But now, it seemed there was no need to worry too much.

Lu Chen didn’t even glance at a beautiful and charming woman like Liu Ruyan; didn’t that say something?

Moreover, Lu Chen actively took her to familiarize herself with the company environment and stood with her; didn’t this also indirectly indicate something?

Thinking of this, Yu Miaoyin’s mood became even more pleasant, and she trusted Lu Chen even more.

Her body unconsciously leaned a little closer to Lu Chen, as if this would bring her closer to that sense of security, her eyes filled with reliance and trust.

Lu Chen took Yu Miaoyin on a tour of the company.

He stood tall, his steps unhurried, each one steady and powerful, his leather shoes making crisp sounds on the polished floor.

At each department, he would turn slightly towards Yu Miaoyin, his slender fingers gently pointing to various work areas, patiently and meticulously explaining the department’s functions and work processes.

When he spoke, his voice was deep and magnetic, his eyes focused and gentle, occasionally nodding slightly, a perfectly appropriate smile always on his lips, exuding a gentlemanly demeanor in every gesture.

Upon reaching the cafeteria, Lu Chen, with quick reflexes, arrived at a dining table first, bent slightly, and elegantly extended his arm to pull out a chair for Yu Miaoyin.

Only after she gracefully took her seat did he unhurriedly sit opposite her.

When getting food, he leaned slightly closer to Yu Miaoyin, softly asking about her taste preferences, his voice seemingly carrying a hint of warmth that entered Yu Miaoyin’s ears.

Then, he held his tray, carefully selected dishes, and used serving chopsticks to pick up her favorite sweet and sour pork ribs and stir-fried seasonal vegetables for Yu Miaoyin.

His movements were as gentle as if he were handling a rare treasure, his gaze full of concern and care.

After the meal, they strolled to the garden downstairs of the company.

The warm spring sun poured down, casting dappled light and shadows across the garden.

A gentle breeze softly brushed by, and the flowers, as if imbued with life, swayed joyfully.

Lu Chen suddenly stopped, bent down slightly, and with extreme care, plucked a vibrant, dew-kissed pink flower from the flowerbed.

The petals were layered, so fresh they seemed to ooze water, and the stamens still bore a few glistening dewdrops.

He straightened up, handed the small flower to Yu Miaoyin, his eyes sparkling with a smile, his voice as soft as a spring breeze: “This flower suits you very well.”

Yu Miaoyin’s cheeks instantly flushed, like the evening glow in the sky.

She bit her lower lip slightly, her eyes filled with surprise and shyness, took the small flower, and softly thanked him, her voice as gentle as a whisper.

Along the way, their laughter was continuous.

Lu Chen’s arm would occasionally and inadvertently brush against Yu Miaoyin’s arm, each touch like an electric current, causing Yu Miaoyin’s heart to suddenly race.

As they passed a door, Lu Chen quickened his pace, stepping ahead to the door, extending his arm, and firmly pushing it open.

Then he turned his body slightly, made a gesturing motion, inviting Yu Miaoyin to go first, and followed behind, fully displaying his gentlemanly manners.

The company employees all cast envious and respectful glances.

Yu Miaoyin took all of this in, and her heart grew even happier.

She secretly mused that if Lu Chen were a fickle scoundrel, he would never dare to be so openly intimate with her; his current lack of avoidance undoubtedly showed his stance.

Where there is joy, there is also sorrow.

All these scenes were witnessed by Liu Ruyan, who was hiding not far away.

A hint of jealousy and unwillingness flashed in her eyes, her hands unconsciously clenched, her nails digging deeply into her palms, her heart a mix of emotions, her expression complex and hard to decipher.

There was both admiration for Yu Miaoyin and resentment towards Lu Chen.

Of course, there was more of a grudge against Lu Chen.

She was so angry she couldn’t help but want to take a big bite out of Lu Chen’s thigh!

This man was truly detestable!

He was intimate with her in the morning, and then turned around and was laughing and chatting with another woman.

Yet, she was completely powerless against him… When had she, Liu Ruyan, ever endured such Qi!

“Scumbag! Bastard! Damned man!”

Liu Ruyan gritted her teeth in anger, itching for revenge.

But then, remembering the two videos in Lu Chen’s hand, she felt a surge of despair.

However, she then looked resolute.

No!

She couldn’t give up so easily!

Since Lu Chen hadn’t left the USB drive in the office, he must have put it in his home!

As long as she could get to his house, she might be able to find it!

Liu Ruyan thought to herself, her eyes lighting up slightly.

She rekindled her fighting spirit and hope!

As for the warning Lu Chen gave her this morning… it didn’t matter. If she was caught, at worst, she’d just have another video taken!

She’d already had two taken anyway; too many mosquitoes don’t make you fear being bitten!

Liu Ruyan snorted inwardly, thinking so.

Then she rubbed her hands together, haughtily turned her head, and left the place in her high heels… Night fell.

It was time for the workers to get off work.

Lu Chen, who had been playing the Sylvie Development game all day, turned off his computer, left his office, and went to Yu Miaoyin’s office, finding her still sitting in front of her computer.

Liu Ruyan had already left work.

Lu Chen smiled slightly, his eyes filled with a gentle inquiry, his voice deep and magnetic: “It’s time to get off work. Shall I take you home?”

Yu Miaoyin’s cheeks flushed slightly, like ripe apples, and she nodded gently, her eyes sparkling with joy and anticipation: “Okay.”

Lu Chen took Yu Miaoyin to the underground parking lot, where his car was parked in the most prominent spot.

It was a black sedan, with sleek and sharp lines, gleaming with a cool yet captivating luster under the lights.

Lu Chen pulled out his car keys, pressed them lightly, and with a “click,” the car door unlocked.

He first opened the passenger door for Yu Miaoyin, bending slightly, one hand thoughtfully placed above the car door, fearing she might hit her head.

Once she was seated, he leaned in slightly, extended his hand, and gently helped her fasten her seatbelt.

However, whether intentionally or not.

As Lu Chen’s hand passed in front of Yu Miaoyin, it accidentally brushed against her chest.

Yu Miaoyin’s body trembled suddenly, and the air inside the car instantly became suggestive…
