155: Lu Chen is indeed different from other men. A romantic day

A moment later, Yu Miaoyin was again captivated by the exquisite jewelry in the counter, her eyes sparkling with excitement as her finger lightly tapped the glass.

“Look at this necklace, it’s so delicate.”

Lu Chen looked in the direction she pointed, his eyes full of tenderness, “If you like it, try it on.”

After buying a pile of things, Lu Chen, carrying large and small bags, followed behind Yu Miaoyin back to the car.

Lu Chen didn’t pay for these; he merely acted as a ruthless bag-carrying machine.

Yu Miaoyin was not short on money, and it was difficult to win her over with monetary means, so in Lu Chen’s plan, he had no intention of using a money offensive.

And Yu Miaoyin, seeing Lu Chen who didn’t proactively offer to pay, not only felt no annoyance but admired him even more.

She was never short of men fawning over her, and what she usually disliked the most were those fawning men.

Lu Chen was indeed different from others.

Yu Miaoyin thought to herself, looking at the scenery outside the car window, her lips curving slightly into a breathtaking smile.

Next, they arrived at the most famous park in Yanjing City.

The park was shaded by green trees, with lush flowers and plants, and the air was filled with the fresh scent of blossoms.

The two walked side by side on the winding path, sunlight filtering through the leaves and dappling their bodies with golden spots, as if draping them in a dreamy veil.

Yu Miaoyin excitedly pointed at the flowers by the roadside, telling Lu Chen about her knowledge of them, “These are tulips, representing eternal love; those are sunflowers, always growing towards the sun.”

Lu Chen listened quietly, occasionally interjecting a word or two, making Yu Miaoyin giggle.

Her laughter echoed through the park, her smiling face like a blooming flower, radiant and beautiful, drawing the attention of passersby.

Afterward, they arrived at an ancient temple and Daoist temple.

Inside the temple, incense smoke curled upwards, peaceful and serene, and the ancient architecture exuded the aura of time.

With a devout heart, Yu Miaoyin slowly knelt before the Buddha statue, clasped her hands, closed her eyes, and made a sincere wish.

Her eyelashes trembled slightly, and her expression was solemn and focused.

Lu Chen stood aside, quietly watching her, his gaze full of focus and tenderness, as if at this moment, everything in the world was irrelevant to him; his eyes only held Yu Miaoyin.

After leaving the temple, Yu Miaoyin’s face held a trace of tranquility and contentment. She turned to look at Lu Chen, the tenderness in her eyes deepening.

It was as if in this sacred place, her inner self had undergone some kind of sublimation.

In the afternoon, they arrived at the foot of a scenic mountain.

Yu Miaoyin gazed at the towering peak, her eyes sparkling with the light of challenge. The mountain breeze gently ruffled her hair, and her figure appeared even more upright in the sunlight.

Lu Chen seemed to read her thoughts and said with a smile, “Dare to take on a challenge and see who reaches the top first?”

Yu Miaoyin nodded without hesitation, her eyes full of amusement, saying, “Then you’re definitely going to lose.”

She gazed at the towering peak, her eyes sparkling with confidence, and her lips curved slightly into a determined smile.

As an Innate expert, she was full of confidence in her physical fitness and speed; in her opinion, conquering this mountain was as easy as turning over her hand.

Lu Chen’s lips curved into a slight smile, his eyes showing a hint of playfulness, “Then let’s begin.”

No sooner had he spoken than Yu Miaoyin quickly walked out, her steps light and swift, her figure weaving through the mountain path, completely unhindered by her high heels.

At first, their speeds were evenly matched, their paces closely following each other.

Yu Miaoyin secretly felt proud, thinking that with Lu Chen’s strength, he could only keep pace with her.

But it wasn't long before she noticed something unusual.

No matter how much she accelerated, Lu Chen could always easily keep up, his breathing steady, showing no sign of fatigue.

His steps seemed casual, yet they were just right, always maintaining a subtle distance from her.

Yu Miaoyin felt puzzled but refused to give up. She gritted her teeth, mobilized the True Qi within her body, and her speed instantly increased by a notch.

The mountain wind whistled past her ears, making her hair fly wildly, and her skirt billowed with the wind, like a blooming flower on the mountainside.

However, even so, Lu Chen still followed leisurely behind her, his composed demeanor making Yu Miaoyin even more certain that he was deliberately letting her win.

Finally, Yu Miaoyin was the first to reach the summit.

She stood on the mountaintop, breathing in short, heavy gasps, her chest gently rising and falling, her face beaming with the joy of victory.

Lu Chen then also stepped onto the summit, just one step behind her. He smiled and said to Yu Miaoyin, “You won.”

Yu Miaoyin pouted slightly, with a hint of playful reproach, “That’s because you let me.”

Lu Chen smiled and shook his head, his voice soft, “No, you’re very impressive, and you were even wearing high heels.”

Hearing this, Yu Miaoyin’s lips curved upwards, revealing a happy smile. Her earlier slight mood instantly vanished, and her heart felt sweet.

At this moment, the gentle breeze on the mountaintop blew past, and the two smiled at each other. Yu Miaoyin suddenly felt that everything in the world had become incredibly beautiful at this moment.

As she overlooked the beautiful scenery below the mountain, Yu Miaoyin cheered excitedly, spreading her arms as if to embrace the entire world.

In the evening, they arrived at the lakeside and rented a small boat.

Lu Chen skillfully rowed the oars, and the small boat slowly drifted on the lake, creating ripples. A gentle breeze brushed past, bringing the fresh scent of the lake water.

Yu Miaoyin sat in the bow of the boat, closing her eyes, feeling this peaceful and beautiful moment.

Her hair gently floated in the wind, and her face was filled with a happy smile.

She turned to look at Lu Chen, a flicker of unusual emotion in her eyes, which she then concealed.

The small boat drifted leisurely on the lake, the afterglow scattering on the shimmering water. Yu Miaoyin gazed at the sky tinged with dusk, and after a moment of hesitation, she turned to look at Lu Chen, who was rowing.

“Lu Chen, I have a Senior Sister who wants to meet you. Do you want to go?”

Her voice was soft, carrying a trace of imperceptible anticipation.
