200: Since you don't believe me, I'll just leave.
After sitting for a while, Lu Chen's hands began to become restless.
The fire that Yu Miaoyin had ignited earlier today had nowhere to be vented.
Now, with the beauty of Gao Xuewei in his arms, her unique charm made him even more difficult to control.
His eyes gleamed with a fervent light, and his hands, as if possessing a will of their own, slowly traced along Gao Xuewei's waist.
Gao Xuewei's figure was perfect; her slender waist was delicate enough to be grasped in one hand, and her curves, subtly revealed by the moonlight, outlined an extremely alluring silhouette.
Her face, illuminated by the moonlight, flushed with a faint blush, like a blooming peach blossom, exquisitely beautiful. Beneath her high nose bridge, her slightly pouted lips made one long to kiss her.
Especially her skin, delicate and soft, as smooth as suet jade; a gentle touch could feel its silky texture.
Lu Chen's hands grew bolder, moving slowly.
Gao Xuewei's breathing quickened, her cheeks instantly turning crimson, like a ripe apple, intoxicatingly red.
She subconsciously bit her lower lip, her shy demeanor adding a touch of delicate charm.
Gao Xuewei noticed Lu Chen's actions and, in a panic, reached out and pressed down on Lu Chen's restless hand.
Her fingers were slender and long, appearing even more delicate against Lu Chen's large hand. Her face slightly flushed, she shyly whispered, "It's almost dawn..."
Her voice was as soft as a spring breeze, carrying a hint of shyness.
Lu Chen's lips curved slightly, revealing a playful smile. He leaned closer to Gao Xuewei, their noses almost touching, and softly asked, "What if it's dawn?"
Gao Xuewei became even more flustered by Lu Chen's words. She tried to bury her head lower, but Lu Chen gently lifted her chin.
Her eyes darted away, not daring to meet Lu Chen's fervent gaze, and her hands unconsciously clutched the hem of her nightgown.
"Don't do this..." Gao Xuewei pleaded softly, her voice trembling slightly, unsure if it was from nervousness or shyness.
Her eyelashes fluttered, like two startled butterflies, looking utterly pitiable.
Lu Chen, however, had no intention of letting her go. His other hand gently caressed Gao Xuewei's cheek, his fingers lightly stroking her skin, which felt delicate and warm.
"What's wrong, Xuewei, what are you afraid of?" He teased softly, the smile on his lips growing wider.
Gao Xuewei's heart pounded like a drum. She could clearly feel Lu Chen's breath on her face, making her body burn.
She tried to struggle but found her body limp, devoid of any strength. "I... I'm not afraid."
She retorted softly, her voice almost inaudible.
Lu Chen looked at her shy demeanor and smiled slightly.
His hand slowly slid down Gao Xuewei's cheek, gently tracing her neck. Gao Xuewei's body trembled slightly, and she couldn't help but let out a soft gasp. "Lu Chen..."
She chided him sweetly, her voice full of helplessness and shyness.
"Xuewei, do you know how captivating you are?" Lu Chen whispered, his eyes filled with deep affection.
"Every glance, every movement of yours, mesmerizes me."
As he spoke, he gently pulled Gao Xuewei closer, their bodies almost pressing against each other.
Gao Xuewei's face was burning. She had never imagined Lu Chen would express his feelings so directly.
Her heart was a mix of sweetness and panic; on one hand, she enjoyed Lu Chen's affection, and on the other, she felt shy about such intimate contact.
"You... don't say anymore." She whispered, her hands gently pushing against Lu Chen's chest, but without any force.
Lu Chen, however, seemed not to hear her words and continued, "Xuewei, tonight, I only want to be with you."
His voice was gentle and firm, his gaze fixed on Gao Xuewei's eyes, as if to see through her very Soul.
Gao Xuewei's eyes became moist. Her heart was filled with mixed emotions. The grievances, unease, and longing of these past days all surged into her heart at this moment.
She bit her lip, as if making a great decision, and slowly closed her eyes, tilting her face up.
Lu Chen felt Gao Xuewei's response, and the corners of his mouth curved slightly, revealing a satisfied smile. He gently stroked Gao Xuewei's hair, his movements light and tender.
"Xuewei, promise me, never leave me." Lu Chen whispered into Gao Xuewei's ear, his voice carrying an undeniable assertiveness.
Gao Xuewei nodded slightly and softly said, "I promise you..."
Lu Chen looked at Gao Xuewei, gently lifted her face, and slowly leaned closer to her lips.
Gao Xuewei's breathing quickened, her heartbeat exceptionally clear in the quiet night.
The moment Lu Chen's lips touched Gao Xuewei's, she felt as if time had stopped, and the whole world was left with only the two of them.
Lu Chen's lips gently pressed against Gao Xuewei's, at first just a fleeting touch, with a hint of tenderness.
Gao Xuewei's body instantly tensed, her breathing rapid like drumbeats. Her hands subconsciously grabbed Lu Chen's sleeve, her fingertips trembling slightly.
Lu Chen felt her tension, and one hand gently caressed her back, slowly stroking, trying to soothe her.
Gradually, the kiss grew more passionate.
Lu Chen's lips pressed firmly against Gao Xuewei's, prying open her pearly teeth and intertwining with her tongue.
Gao Xuewei's head spun, her body limply leaning against Lu Chen. Her eyes were tightly closed, her long lashes fluttering, and the blush on her face grew deeper, spreading to her neck.
Her breathing became erratic, and her warm breath sprayed on Lu Chen's face. The moonlight, like water, spilled over them, adding a touch of dreaminess and enchantment to the scene.
After a while, their lips slowly parted. Gao Xuewei was slightly out of breath, her eyes hazy.
Just as Lu Chen wanted to go further.
Gao Xuewei's expression was complex, a hint of pain and disappointment flashing in her eyes, as she suddenly said, "The scent on you... at least three women's. What did you do tonight?"
Upon hearing this, Lu Chen was utterly astonished, his eyes wide, and he secretly marveled:
Is this woman's nose really a dog's nose? She can smell this?
Gao Xuewei's eyes were slightly red, her voice a little choked:
"I always thought you were sincere with me, but what are these unfamiliar scents on you?"
Her eyes were full of hurt, like a little deer abandoned by its owner, pitiful and helpless.
Lu Chen's expression was calm, and he quickly explained:
"Xuewei, listen to me. Tonight, I acted as a superhero and rescued a human trafficking den. Those scents might have gotten on me during the rescue."
Gao Xuewei, however, looked utterly unconvinced, her brows furrowed tightly, and her voice rose, "Are you trying to trick me with such a childish story? Lu Chen, I'm truly disappointed."
Her body trembled slightly, and she forcefully pushed Lu Chen away, her eyes red, tears welling up, about to spill over at any second.
Lu Chen looked at her like this and sighed helplessly, "Xuewei, don't you believe me?"
Gao Xuewei remained silent, turning her head away. Her silence was like a sharp blade, piercing directly into Lu Chen's heart.
Her shoulders shrugged slightly, her heart filled with mixed feelings; she felt both deceived by Lu Chen and afraid that all of this was true, and that the sincerity she had invested in this relationship had become a joke.
Lu Chen knew that without evidence, Gao Xuewei would not believe him.
He took out his phone and quickly made a call. Fortunately, the police officers had body cameras when they went to rescue the hostages, and with his ability, getting a video was not difficult.
Soon, the video was sent. Lu Chen selected a few clips of himself fighting the kidnappers and handed them to Gao Xuewei, "Take a look, this is the evidence."
Gao Xuewei had stubbornly turned her head away, unwilling to look, but a glimpse of the video's content caught her eye, and she was instantly stunned.
Her eyes were filled with shock. She slowly turned to Lu Chen and stammered, "You... you really went to rescue hostages?"
Lu Chen spread his hands, looking helpless, "Yes, these are images captured by police body cameras. If you still don't believe me, I can take you to this police station right now. I believe those human traffickers are still there."
A hint of shame flashed across Gao Xuewei's face. She bit her lower lip, her eyes still red, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have doubted you."
Her voice was full of remorse, regretting her impulsiveness and distrust from earlier.
Lu Chen, however, stood up, his expression slightly disappointed, and said indifferently, "Since you don't believe me, then I'll just leave."
With that, he turned as if to walk away.
Seeing this, Gao Xuewei's heart tightened, and she hurriedly stepped forward to grab Lu Chen's arm, "Don't go, I really know I was wrong."
Her eyes were filled with fear and reluctance, afraid that Lu Chen would truly leave her.
Lu Chen paused, but did not turn around, his voice somewhat cold, "You were so resolute in not believing me just now. Is an apology enough now?"
He wasn't truly angry, but merely wanted to playfully punish Gao Xuewei a little.
Tears welled up in Gao Xuewei's eyes. She moved in front of Lu Chen, tightly hugged his waist, and buried her face in his chest:
"I was really wrong. I shouldn't have made wild guesses, and I shouldn't have distrusted you. I just care about you too much, and when I smelled other women on you, I panicked."
Her body trembled slightly, and her tears soaked Lu Chen's clothes.
Lu Chen lowered his head slightly, looking at the crying Gao Xuewei in his arms, and the little bit of "Qi" in his heart instantly dissipated.
He raised his hand and gently stroked her hair, his voice softening slightly, "You, you must not do this again in the future."
Gao Xuewei nodded quickly, looked up, her eyes brimming with tears, at Lu Chen, "I promise, I will always believe you from now on."
Lu Chen looked at her like this and couldn't help but smile, "Alright, don't cry anymore, or you'll turn into a little cat face." He reached out and gently wiped away Gao Xuewei's tears.
Gao Xuewei broke into a smile, tears still glistening on her cheeks, yet with a hint of shy amusement:
"You always make fun of me." She lightly punched Lu Chen's chest, a gesture full of intimacy.
Lu Chen took the opportunity to pull her closer and kissed her forehead, "How could I make fun of you? I just feel for you. From now on, no matter what happens, let's be honest with each other, okay?"
Gao Xuewei leaned in Lu Chen's arms, feeling his warmth and heartbeat, and softly hummed in agreement.
At this moment, all her unease and fear dissipated, leaving only overflowing happiness and love for Lu Chen.
Suddenly, Lu Chen seemed to remember something, and a mischievous smile played on his lips, "So, how do you plan to compensate me for this distrust?"
Gao Xuewei's face flushed, and she lightly spat, "You're never-ending."
Lu Chen was persistent, lightly flicking her nose with his finger, "Of course not, I was wronged."
Gao Xuewei rolled her eyes helplessly, but with a smile, "Then tell me, how do you want to be compensated?"
Lu Chen smirked mischievously, deliberately leaned closer to Gao Xuewei, and whispered, "Come back to the room with me."
Upon hearing this, Gao Xuewei's face immediately flushed, the blush rapidly spreading from her cheeks to her earlobes. Her eyes were filled with shyness and confusion, and her voice unconsciously carried a hint of coquettishness, "Why go back to the room...?"
Her fingers subconsciously clutched the hem of her clothes, and she lowered her head slightly, her long eyelashes casting a shadow on her cheeks like two small fans.
Lu Chen looked at her shy demeanor. He gently lifted Gao Xuewei's chin, making her meet his gaze, and with a playful smile on his lips, he said, "Well, what do you think?"
Gao Xuewei's heart rate suddenly quickened. She dared not meet Lu Chen's fervent gaze and frantically turned her head away.
After a moment of hesitation, as if making a great decision, she mustered her courage and lightly kissed Lu Chen's cheek.
After the kiss, her face became even redder, like a ripe apple, so red it almost seemed to drip blood.
"Is this enough...?" Gao Xuewei whispered softly.
However, Lu Chen was clearly not satisfied with this.
He gently shook his head, a 'wronged' expression on his face:
"That's not enough. I was wronged so badly by you. Such a simple kiss can't compensate me."
As he spoke, he leaned a few more inches closer to Gao Xuewei, their proximity so close they could almost feel each other's breath.
Gao Xuewei was both annoyed and amused by Lu Chen's roguish behavior. She gently pushed Lu Chen's chest and chided him sweetly, "How can you be like this? What exactly do you want?"
Her voice was soft and sweet, with a hint of coquetry.
Just as Gao Xuewei was at a loss, Lu Chen suddenly bent down slightly, one hand passing under Gao Xuewei's knees, the other firmly supporting her back, and lifted her in a princess carry.
Gao Xuewei gasped, instinctively wrapping her arms around Lu Chen's neck, her eyes filled with panic and shyness.
"You... what are you doing?!" Gao Xuewei said sweetly, her voice trembling slightly after the initial fright.
Lu Chen looked at Gao Xuewei in his arms, a playful smile on his face, and softly said, "Taking you back to the room to compensate me properly."
With that, he carried Gao Xuewei and strode towards the room.
