187: My life is gone!

Ye Chen's hands trembled as he slowly pushed open the door.

A faint ray of light seeped through the crack, appearing especially mysterious in the dark, oppressive atmosphere.

His heart pounded like thunder, each beat heavily striking his chest, as if wanting to break free from the cage that confined it.

His eyes were fixed on the door crack, and as his vision gradually cleared, what came into view was a figure standing by the window in the room.

Moonlight streamed through the window, illuminating the tall and slender silhouette of the person. Ye Chen recognized him at a glance; it was Lu Chen.

Ye Chen's heart tightened, and his initial anger and hatred were instantly replaced by confusion.

He subconsciously wanted to retreat, but his legs seemed to be nailed to the spot, unable to move an inch.

His gaze shifted over Lu Chen, secretly speculating about Lu Chen's actions.

Just then, he noticed that Lu Chen was holding a woman in his arms.

The two were embracing, the woman's body slightly arched backward. In the moonlight, her face appeared especially pale, a few strands of hair clinging to her face with sweat, like a beautiful oil painting, yet exuding an indescribable eeriness.

Ye Chen's first reaction was anger. A strong surge of jealousy welled up in his heart. He felt that his wife had been so openly betrayed, and his dignity ruthlessly trampled.

A thought flashed through his mind: if he could take a picture of this scene and show it to his wife, Liu Ruyan, she would surely be utterly disappointed in Lu Chen, and perhaps she would leave Lu Chen and return to him.

Ye Chen fumbled frantically in his pocket for his phone, his fingers trembling so violently that he almost dropped it several times.

After much effort, he grasped the phone, opened the camera, and raised his hand high, wanting to capture this scene of "betrayal."

However, the moment he pressed the shutter button, everything changed drastically.

Lu Chen's head suddenly lowered, burying itself in the woman's neck.

Ye Chen's pupils instantly dilated. He thought Lu Chen was kissing the woman, but the next second, he saw a horrifying sight.

Lu Chen's mouth was tightly clamped onto the woman's neck, like a hungry beast tearing at its prey.

The woman's body stiffened abruptly, her hands subconsciously trying to push Lu Chen away, but her strength seemed so insignificant before Lu Chen, her feeble struggles appearing futile.

Ye Chen's eyes widened, his mouth agape, his face filled with disbelief.

His phone clattered to the ground with a crisp sound, which was particularly jarring in the silent room.

"What... what's going on?" Ye Chen's throat felt as if something was caught in it, and he could only produce a faint sound.

His legs began to tremble uncontrollably, and his body swayed precariously.

Moonlight, like water, spilled over Lu Chen and the woman, reflecting an eerie play of light and shadow.

Ye Chen clearly saw blood slowly trickling from Lu Chen's lips, glistening with a dark red hue in the moonlight, dripping onto the ground, like blooming flowers of Hell.

"Vampire!?" The word suddenly leaped into Ye Chen's mind, his scalp instantly prickling, and all the hairs on his body stood on end.

His eyes were filled with terror, a bone-deep fear that made his Soul tremble.

In the moonlight, Ye Chen saw the fangs protruding from Lu Chen's mouth. Those sharp fangs gleamed with a chilling light in the moonlight, as if from an envoy of Hell.

Lu Chen's eyes also turned blood-red at this moment, emitting a bloodthirsty glow. There was no expression on his face, as cold as a millennium-old iceberg.

Ye Chen's breathing became rapid and heavy, his chest heaving violently, each breath like a struggle.

His face was filled with horror, his eyes wide almost to the point of popping out, that gaze seemingly conveying the deep-seated fear within him.

A dead silence permeated the room, broken only by the faint sound of Lu Chen feeding and Ye Chen's heavy breathing.

The sound of wind and rain outside seemed to cease at this moment, the entire world falling into a profound stillness, silently observing the terror of this instant.

Ye Chen wanted to turn and flee, but his legs wouldn't obey him. His body felt as if it had been struck by a paralysis spell, unable to move an inch.

His heart was filled with despair; he knew he had fallen into an incredibly terrifying situation.

Lu Chen seemed to sense Ye Chen's presence. He slowly raised his head, his blood-red eyes looking at Ye Chen, a trace of fresh blood still clinging to the corner of his mouth, looking like a demon crawled out of Hell.

Ye Chen met Lu Chen's gaze, and he felt a chill shoot from the soles of his feet to the top of his head. His Soul felt as if it was about to be devoured by Lu Chen's eyes.

"You... you..." Ye Chen's lips trembled, wanting to say something, but found his voice had vanished.

His body involuntarily retreated, one step, two steps... His back hit the wall, the cold touch bringing him some clarity, but his fear remained undiminished.

Lu Chen released the woman in his arms, and her body slumped softly to the ground, like a withered flower.

Lu Chen's figure appeared even taller in the moonlight. He slowly walked towards Ye Chen, and with each step, Ye Chen's heart beat faster.

"No... don't come over!" Ye Chen finally let out a scream, a sound filled with fear and despair.

His hands fumbled behind him, trying to find something to lean on, but all he touched was the cold wall.

Lu Chen's footsteps did not stop. He got closer and closer to Ye Chen; Ye Chen could even smell the scent of blood emanating from him.

Ye Chen's eyes were filled with pleading. He hoped Lu Chen would spare him, but he knew it was all futile.

"Why... why is this happening...?" Ye Chen's heart cried out repeatedly, his mind a chaotic mess; he couldn't accept what was happening before his eyes.

His face was streaked with tears, tears of fear and despair.

When Lu Chen stood before Ye Chen, Ye Chen closed his eyes. He dared not look at Lu Chen's terrifying appearance anymore.

His body trembled even more violently, like a leaf swaying in the cold wind.

"Are you... are you a human or a ghost...?" Ye Chen squeezed out the words through gritted teeth, using his last ounce of strength.

His voice was so faint it was almost inaudible, yet in the silent room, it sounded unusually clear.

Ye Chen's eyes were tightly shut, his whole body trembling, his mind a chaotic mess, fully believing he was about to die here.

Just at this critical moment of life and death, he suddenly remembered something his father had given him before he left home, saying it could save his life in an emergency.

He suddenly opened his eyes, a glimmer of desire for survival flashing within them.

His hands fumbled frantically in his chest, almost tearing his clothes in his haste.

Finally, he touched the bead that still carried his father's warmth.

"Thunderfire Bead!" Ye Chen screamed hoarsely, using all his strength to throw the bead towards Lu Chen.

In an instant, with a loud "boom," the bead exploded, and a dazzling light instantly illuminated the entire dark room, with thick smoke carrying hot air surging outwards.

The walls shook violently, large patches of plaster peeled off, and furniture was overturned by the impact, making cracking sounds.

Ye Chen seized this chaotic moment and turned to run.

His legs were weak, his steps faltering, as if he were drunk.

The dagger in his hand had fallen to the ground at some point, but he paid no attention. At this moment, he had only one thought—escape!

He stumbled out of the room, crashing into the corridor wall, letting out a muffled groan of pain, but he didn't stop, leaning on the wall and continuing to run wildly forward.

His hair flew wildly, his face covered in sweat and dust, looking utterly disheveled.

He rushed down the stairs, slipped, and tumbled down the entire flight.

His arms and knees scraped against the steps, leaving streaks of blood, but he felt no pain, gritting his teeth, he got up and continued to rush towards the villa's main gate.

Finally, he ran out of the villa.

The rain was still falling outside, large drops hitting his face, stinging painfully.

He looked back and saw that Lu Chen had not pursued him, and a wave of relief washed over him.

But just then, out of the corner of his eye, he caught a glimpse of a cold gleam, like lightning, streaking across the Void Realm.

He instinctively turned his head, his eyes instantly widening; that cold gleam was the dagger he had just dropped!

Ye Chen had no time to think, instinctively performing a sudden somersault to the side.

The ground was covered in puddles, and with that roll, he was covered in mud and water, his clothes torn by sharp pebbles.

However, fate seemed to play a cruel joke on him.

A cold wind blew, and the dagger strangely changed its trajectory in the air.

Without deviation, it flew straight towards his lower body.

"Ah—" Ye Chen's eyes widened, and he let out a heart-rending scream.

The sound was particularly mournful in the dark night, as if wanting to pierce through the endless darkness.

His body curled into a ball, his hands tightly clutching his lower body, blood continuously gushing from between his fingers, mixing with the rainwater and flowing across the ground.

Before he could recover, he saw Lu Chen's terrifying figure appear before him.

In the moonlight, Lu Chen's silhouette was as cold as the God of Death, his blood-red eyes emitting a captivating glow.

Ye Chen ignored the intense pain from his lower body, enduring his trembling body, and with blood-soaked hands, he picked up his fallen manhood.

His face was filled with pain and despair, tears, rainwater, and blood mingled together, indistinguishable.

He limped towards the outside of the mansion, each step leaving a bloody footprint in the mud.

His breathing was rapid and heavy, each gasp accompanied by a painful groan.

The rain grew heavier, beating down on him, as if to drown him completely.

The wind howled in his ears, like the mocking laughter of a demon.

Ye Chen's figure appeared so small, so helpless in the wind and rain.

He didn't know if he could escape this terrifying place, only that he had to keep running, even at the cost of his life.

Lu Chen watched Ye Chen scramble away, a slight smirk playing on his lips, a mocking smile that seemed to ridicule Ye Chen's overestimation of himself.

He didn't give chase. In his eyes, Ye Chen was nothing more than an ant; he might escape for a moment, but not forever.

Then, he turned and returned to the room with steady steps, his figure gradually disappearing into the darkness.

Ye Chen ran desperately in the rain, the rainwater blurring his vision. With every step, the sharp pain in his lower body spread like an electric current throughout his entire body. Blood continuously flowed down his thighs, leaving a series of shocking bloody footprints on the ground.

He didn't know how long he had run, nor how far. There was only one belief in his heart: to go home.

Along the way, pedestrians turned their heads, letting out gasps of surprise and murmurs of discussion.

Some covered their mouths in horror, some stared with wide eyes full of disbelief, and others pointed at him from afar, whispering amongst themselves.

But Ye Chen paid no attention. His consciousness was gradually blurring, sustained only by his last shred of willpower.

After an unknown amount of time, Ye Chen finally saw his familiar yet dilapidated home.

He stumbled into the yard, his vision went black, and he collapsed directly in front of his doghouse.

He was covered in blood, his clothes soaked with blood and rainwater, clinging tightly to his body. His disheveled hair was plastered to his face, and he gasped for breath, each breath seemingly draining his last bit of strength.

His hands hung limply to the ground, and that small piece of his manhood, which he had clutched tightly, was exposed, looking particularly glaring in the dim light.

Just then, footsteps sounded from inside the house, and Wang Nanny came out after hearing the commotion.

She saw Ye Chen lying on the ground, her brows furrowed into a tight frown, her face filled with disgust.

"Whose madman is this? Get up quickly, or I'll let the dog bite you!" Wang Nanny stood with her hands on her hips, scolding loudly, without a trace of pity in her voice.

Upon hearing this, Ye Chen felt as if he had grasped a lifeline. He used his last ounce of strength to try and lift his head.

His lips trembled, and he uttered a faint sound: "Wang... Wang Nanny... save... save me... call... call an ambulance..."

However, before he could finish speaking, Wang Nanny impatiently unclipped the dog's leash.

The large dog shot out like an arrow from a bow, pouncing directly on Ye Chen.

Ye Chen's eyes widened in terror, wanting to dodge, but he found he didn't even have the strength to move a finger.

The large dog snatched the piece of manhood from Ye Chen's hand. Ye Chen's pupils instantly dilated, his eyes filled with disbelief and despair.

He opened his mouth, but no sound came out, his throat as if choked by an invisible hand.

The large dog, holding that piece, swallowed it in a few gulps, then wagged its tail, looking utterly satisfied.

Ye Chen lay on the ground, his eyes staring blankly at the sky, tears uncontrollably streaming from the corners of his eyes, mixing with the rainwater, dripping onto the ground.

His face was filled with pain and despair. His former anger and resentment had now turned into endless sorrow.

His body trembled slightly, not from pain, but from utter despair.

He never imagined that after all his troubles escaping home, such an end awaited him.

Ye Chen looked at his manhood, swallowed by the dog, and despair instantly ignited, transforming into a reckless frenzy.

He suddenly propped up his upper body from the ground, using his last ounce of strength to shout, "No!" His voice was hoarse and shrill, echoing in the silent yard.

He scrambled on all fours towards the large dog, still wagging its tail. His hands clamped onto the dog's body like pincers, his fingernails digging into its flesh. The dog yelped in fright at his sudden action.

"Spit it out! Spit it out!" Ye Chen's eyes were wide, almost popping out of their sockets, his bloodshot gaze fixed on the dog's mouth. The muscles in his face were contorted with anger and despair, and large beads of sweat, mixed with rainwater, continuously rolled down.

He freed one hand, trembling as he grabbed the dog's mouth, trying to pry it open by force.

The dog struggled fiercely, its sharp claws scratching streaks of blood on Ye Chen's arm, but Ye Chen seemed to feel no pain, still relentlessly clinging on.

He kept repeating "spit it out" in a tearful voice, filled with pleading and despair.

"What are you doing, you madman!" Wang Nanny watched the chaotic scene from the side, both shocked and angry, shouting loudly.

But Ye Chen was deaf to her words, all his attention focused on the dog, as if with enough force, he could claw his manhood out of the dog's belly.

The dog, tormented by him, let out pained yelps, twisting its body frantically, trying to break free from Ye Chen's grasp.

Ye Chen, however, held on tighter. His body swayed with the dog's struggles, but he never let go.

"My... my..." Ye Chen's voice grew weaker, filled with endless sorrow.

At this moment, he was drenched, blood and rainwater mixed together, continuously dripping from the hem of his clothes onto the ground. His messy hair was plastered to his face, and he looked utterly disheveled, yet he was still making his final struggles, though those struggles were filled with powerlessness and despair.
