110: Chapter 11 Do me a favor!

Ailithos lightly raised her fingertip, and the star essence filling the sky suddenly froze, like a torrential rain that had been paused.

She tilted her head, her gaze behind the mist seeming to pierce through Lu Yin's terrified soul.

"Surrender? Of course you can."

"However, according to the rules, surrendering means you must pay the stakes."

Her voice still carried a hint of a smile, yet it sent a bone-chilling cold through Lu Yin.

But those three divine artifacts were the foundation he absolutely could not afford to lose.

"G-God of Gambling, I..."

"Shh."

Ailithos placed a finger to her lips, interrupting Lu Yin.

"Don't be in such a hurry, I haven't finished."

"Although you lost the battle, I quite admire your 'gambling spirit'."

"Therefore, I'll give you another choice."

As she spoke, the frozen star essence receded like a tide, re-condensing into a single piece that danced in her palm.

"Another choice?"

Hearing Ailithos's words, Lu Yin suddenly looked up.

Ailithos lightly flicked the star essence on her fingertip, producing a crisp ring.

The hazy mist surrounding her seemed to ripple slightly with her amusement.

"That's right, another choice."

She leaned back into her chair with leisurely ease, and the environment of the Golden Arena quietly changed.

It returned to its previous extravagance, as if the world-shaking battle just now had been nothing but a dream.

"You lost the bet. According to the rules, the Dream God's three divine artifacts now belong to me."

Lu Yin's heart tightened, but Ailithos's next words allowed him to temporarily suppress his despair.

"However, I don't have to take them away immediately."

Ailithos's voice carried a cat-and-mouse sort of playfulness.

"In fact, I can even give you a chance to win everything back, including what I promised before... a second Mythic Class."

"What kind of chance?" Lu Yin forced himself to calm down.

He knew that a god's "favor" was never free; there was bound to be a deeper trap hidden behind it.

"It's simple. Do something for me," Ailithos chuckled.

"What is it?" Lu Yin pressed.

The star essence on Ailithos's fingertip stopped dancing and was gently held in her palm.

The mist rippled slightly, and her voice carried a temptation that could lead one to ruin.

"I want you... to 'win' once against the Goddess of Luck, Mosluo."

Lu Yin was stunned, almost thinking he had misheard.

This sounded even more absurd than directly challenging the God of Gambling.

"Win against... the Goddess of Luck?"

"Exactly."

For the first time, a trace of imperceptible... resentment seeped through Ailithos's light laughter.

"I govern gambling luck and understand probabilities. Dice, roulette, card games... every game of chance in the world is within my authority."

"But because of that, I feel that sense of 'helplessness' more clearly than any other god."

The star essence in her palm stopped pulsing and instead dimmed slightly.

"Mosluo is the very incarnation of 'luck' itself."

"In her presence, any of my intuition, skills, or thousands of calculations are rendered completely useless."

"Probabilities warp around her; the smallest possibility becomes an inevitability, and the greatest odds of winning can collapse in an instant."

"Facing her is like trying to catch flowing water with a net or measure mist with a ruler; everything becomes meaningless."

The mist surged slightly, revealing the turbulence in Ailithos's heart.

"Then how can I possibly defeat the Goddess of Luck?"

Questioned by Lu Yin, Ailithos gave a smile.

"As for what you've asked, I've actually already thought of a solution."

"To win against the Goddess of Luck, Mosluo, the key isn't to increase your own 'luck'."

"It lies in warping the very 'rules' upon which she depends."

The star essence on Ailithos's fingertip lit up again, but it glowed with an ominous, dark luster.

The mist around her swirled, outlining another vague and gloomy divine silhouette.

"Among the gods of the Divine Realm, there is one whose authority is the exact opposite of Mosluo's."

"In a sense, their powers share the same source but have different manifestations, like two sides of the same coin."

"Luck makes good things happen inevitably, while extreme misfortune can force the 'worst possibility' into reality."

Ailithos's voice carried a hint of calculation.

"I want you to find a way to establish a brief connection with that goddess who governs misfortune, and ideally, obtain her Curse of Misfortune."

"When two completely different authorities cancel each other out, you will have a chance for a fair game against luck."

"Misfortune... Curse..." Lu Yin chewed on the words, feeling a chill.

He felt like he was nothing more than a plaything for the gods right now.

"Then why don't you just ask the God of Misfortune for help directly?"

After thinking for a moment, Lu Yin asked in confusion.

"Our divine powers cannot coexist, and that little unlucky brat, the God of Misfortune, doesn't like being around other gods anyway."

"That's why I plan for you to approach the God of Misfortune."

Ailithos's words left Lu Yin in deep thought. Establishing a connection with the God of Misfortune?

This sounded even more dangerous than directly challenging the God of Gambling.

Misfortune, this kind of power was like a double-edged sword; one slip-up and it could backfire.

But at the moment, he didn't seem to have a better choice.

"How am I supposed to find the God of Misfortune?"

Lu Yin asked, his tone laced with caution.

"I know of one of her God Challenges. You can collect three of her keys of the gods and head to a Gods Secret Realm to meet her."

"When the time comes, ask her for the Curse of Misfortune, and we'll have a chance to take down that Goddess of Luck."

At this point, Ailithos seemed unable to suppress her laughter; clearly, she had been planning this for a long time.

Lu Yin was silent for a moment, fully understanding Ailithos's intention.

"I understand. Where is the location of the God of Misfortune's challenge?"

Taking a deep breath, Lu Yin asked.

"Hehe, what a straightforward human. According to what you humans call it, that place should be the Everlasting Desolation Plain."

"Remember to go before your Third Advancement. Once you're past level 90, you won't be able to enter that Dungeon."

Ailithos gave a slight smile, then she lightly snapped her fingers.

In the next second, Lu Yin was back inside his dormitory.

"Everlasting Desolation Plain... God of Misfortune..."

Lu Yin repeated the two names in a low voice, his brows furrowed.

The Everlasting Desolation Plain was located on the border of the Heavenly Dynasty Alliance.

There was an abyss there, which was the very passage Aiolia had once used to invade Habitable Planet No. 35.

At the same time, in the deepest part of the Everlasting Desolation Plain was the Doomsday Battlefield, where the human hero Luo Xiu had put an end to Aiolia.

"It seems I still have too little time."

Lu Yin sighed softly and headed toward the Dungeon Hall.

He had lost many Death Soldier in his previous battle with Ailithos and needed to restock his ranks.

After reaching level 31, Lu Yin was already able to enter level 45 Dungeons.

These conventional Dungeons were no longer much of a challenge for Lu Yin.

He swept through them all, selecting suitable soldiers to replenish his legion.

It wasn't until the next morning that Milian sent a message saying they were ready to head to the Western Alliance.
