161: Chapter 161 The Fourth Legion Commander!
The Ancient Sacred Dragon let out a low, pained roar, its draconic eyes burning with indignant fury.
As a supreme race of the ancient era, it had witnessed the rise and fall of countless civilizations. Was it now expected to yield to a mere mortal?
"Mortal... The dignity of the dragon race..."
The Ancient Sacred Dragon's voice rumbled like rolling thunder, yet it carried a hint of weakness.
Lu Yin's expression remained unchanged. He gave the dragon bone longsword a light flick, and fine spatial cracks appeared at the tip of the blade.
"Dignity is reserved for the strong who survive."
The moment the words left his lips, a more terrifying wave of space-time fluctuations erupted from around Lu Yin.
"And you have only two choices: submission or... death."
The Ancient Sacred Dragon's golden slit pupils stared intently at Lu Yin, its breath heavy and ragged.
Its massive body trembled slightly from the intense pain, but its innate pride had not diminished in the slightest.
"I am the last pure-blooded descendant of the ancient dragon race... How could I..."
"Your pride is worthless in my eyes." Lu Yin's voice was as cold as iron. "I will give you three breaths of time to consider."
"One."
Lu Yin's voice was like the soul-reaping scythe of the God of Death.
"Two."
The Ancient Sacred Dragon's pupils contracted violently. It saw the auras of the Three Legion Commanders behind Lu Yin, already completely locked onto it.
Just as Lu Yin was about to utter "three," the Ancient Sacred Dragon suddenly let out a long draconic cry.
This cry was no longer filled with anger, but instead carried an indescribable sense of ancient sorrow.
"Wait!"
The Sacred Dragon slowly lowered its noble head, the golden light in its eyes gradually receding.
"I can follow you, but on one condition."
Lu Yin raised an eyebrow. "Speak."
"Dragons shall never be slaves."
The Sacred Dragon's voice carried its final shred of dignity.
"I can become your mount, but it must be an equal partnership. If you agree, I am willing to swear a Dragon Blood Oath."
A hint of amusement flashed in Lu Yin's eyes.
This Ancient Sacred Dragon truly possessed extraordinary intelligence.
Naturally, he couldn't use a creature like this as he did the Death Soldier.
"Fine." Lu Yin sheathed the dragon bone longsword.
The Ancient Sacred Dragon gave Lu Yin a deep look and suddenly let out a sky-shaking roar.
It bit the tip of its tongue, and a drop of golden dragon blood, containing boundless energy, floated out.
"In the name of the Dragon God, I, the Ancient Sacred Dragon Augustus, am willing to establish an equal contract with the person before me..."
As the ancient draconic language echoed through the space, the drop of dragon blood split in two.
One half vanished into the center of Lu Yin's forehead, while the other half returned to the Sacred Dragon's body.
[Ding! Subdued the Ancient Sacred Dragon, Augustus. Obtained experience reward: 3,000,000 (-20%)!]

The string of notifications brought a look of joy to Lu Yin's face.
Not only did he obtain two brand-new skills, but the capacity of the Death Legion had also significantly increased.
It seemed that as his level grew higher, the rate of the legion's expansion also increased.
Of course, the most important part was that he could now summon another Legion Commander.
Lu Yin took a deep breath and slowly raised his palm.
"Return, for the sake of your Monarch!"
Lu Yin's voice echoed within the empty underground space, carrying an unquestionable authority.
As his voice fell, the void ahead began to twist violently.
A magic circle woven from shadows and death aura slowly took shape.
At the center of the circle, death aura surged like a tide.
This summoning was completely different from the scenes when the previous Three Legion Commanders appeared.
There was no soaring malevolence or violent energy fluctuations; instead, there was a strange, eerie silence.
A tall, slender figure stepped out from the center of the magic circle.
She wore a pitch-black mage robe adorned with starlight-like glimmers and held a bone staff taller than herself.
At the top of the staff was embedded a constantly rotating dark crystal.
Her face was mostly obscured by the shadow of her hood.
Only her elegantly lined jaw and a hint of pale purple lips were visible.
Her exposed skin was as white as snow, inscribed with profound dark blue magic runes that extended all the way to her fingertips.
She looked up slightly, her gaze sweeping past Yarberna and the others before finally landing on Lu Yin.
Dropping to one knee, a cold voice with a hint of ethereal resonance rang out.
"Fourth Legion Commander, Seer, responds to the Monarch's summons. Your will is the meaning of my existence."
[Witch of Oblivion, Seer]
[Level: 4 (Increases with the Monarch's level)]
[Strength: 8,500, Constitution: 90,000]
[Agility: 9,500, Spirit: 180,000]
[Skills: Eternal Frozen Abyss, Void Star Ring, Skyfall... Gaze of Oblivion, End of All Things, Gospel of the End]
[Legion Commander Talent: Archmage of Oblivion (Reduces skill cooldowns by 8%)]
[Artifact: Soul Oblivion · Sephiroth (Sealed)]
Lu Yin looked at Seer's status panel and nodded with satisfaction.
This newly appeared Legion Commander was a mage-type specializing in Spirit.
An ultra-high Spirit value of 180,000 was enough to raise his legion's damage output to a new level.
"Rise, Seer," Lu Yin said calmly.
Seer rose slowly, the starlight glimmers on her mage robe flowing gently with her movements.
Having finished this, Lu Yin exited the Golden City's trial.
He went to the Dungeon Hall and began his tedious leveling journey.
As his level increased, he was able to enter higher-level Dungeons using the limit-breaking necklace.
One Dungeon record after another was broken by him, and almost all Dungeons now featured Lu Yin's name.
In just a few short days, his name once again filled every corner of the campus.
Inside the Dungeon Hall, the other students had long since become numb with shock at this terrifying clearing efficiency.
"It's him again... that freshman, Lu Yin..."
"Too freaky. How on earth does he do it?"
"Our forty-man team spent three days on the Ancient Tomb and still couldn't clear it. He cleared it alone in three hours?"
"Is he even human?!!!"
Time flew by, and Lu Yin devoted almost all his energy to the Dungeons.
Half a month passed in a flash, and today was the day the new students started school.
The entire academy was decorated with lanterns and streamers, and welcome banners fluttered gently in the breeze.
Although Lu Yin was also a freshman, he had enrolled early due to special circumstances, so he did not appear at the orientation ceremony.
Instead, holding the sacred dragon token, he appeared in the depths of the Sacred Dragon Academy.
