111: Chapter 111 Attacked in the Wild!

The sky was just beginning to brighten when Lu Yin stepped out of the Dungeon Hall.

After a night of battle, the size of his Legion of Death had not only fully recovered,

but its overall quality had even improved slightly thanks to clearing several Level 45 Dungeons.

However, there was no joy on his face; instead, he carried a hint of exhaustion.

He returned to his dormitory for a quick wash and to pack his things.

The agreed-upon meeting point was the academy's large-scale teleportation array plaza.

This massive teleportation array could transport people to the vast majority of locations within the Celestial Dynasty.

However, it also required a significant payment of points.

When Lu Yin arrived, Milian, Su Xiaoruan, and Ling Ying were already waiting there.

“Lu Yin, over here!” Milian waved. They planned to use the teleportation array to first reach an international airport that spanned the Eastern and Western continents.

From there, they would take a specialized flight to the Western Alliance, which was the fastest route.

“Sorry, I'm late.”

Lu Yin walked up quickly. His face still bore a trace of weariness from staying up all night, but his gaze had regained its sharpness.

“It’s fine, we just arrived ourselves.”

Milian smiled slightly, her gaze lingering on Lu Yin's face for a moment as if she had noticed something.

But she didn't ask further: “I’ve already paid the teleportation points in advance. Let's head out.”

“Alright.”

On the massive teleportation plaza, runes flowed and energy hummed.

Milian activated the teleportation permissions, and a dazzling pillar of light enveloped the four of them.

After a brief sensation of weightlessness, the surrounding scenery changed drastically.

The clamor of voices, the roar of flights taking off and landing, and waves of impressive energy fluctuations rushed toward them.

The bustling crowd was dressed in various styles, featuring both Eastern Professionals and many Westerners with blonde hair, blue eyes, or different skin tones.

Huge electronic screens scrolled with flight information for destinations all over the world.

Among them, there was no shortage of special flights driven by magic or pulled by strange creatures.

“The flight we need to take is the 'Cloud Roc'.”

Milian had clearly arranged everything long ago, leading the group toward a specific boarding area with practiced ease.

“This is a flight pulled by giant flying magical beasts. Its speed and stability are much better than ordinary planes, and it has the capability to deal with aerial threats.”

The boarding area was relatively quiet. Through the massive floor-to-ceiling windows, several mountain-like giant beasts could be seen moored outside.

Their bodies were covered in white, cloud-like down, and luxurious cabins were built onto their backs.

Their wings were wide enough to cast massive shadows; these were the famous Cloud Rocs.

The boarding process went smoothly. The interior of the cabin on the Cloud Roc's back was even more comfortable and luxurious than imagined.

Each seat had its own independent space and an excellent view.

Accompanied by a loud cry from the roc, the Cloud Roc slowly took flight. Its massive wings flapped, providing an extremely stable flying experience.

The city below shrank rapidly, eventually disappearing into the clouds.

During the long flight, Ling Ying closed her eyes to rest, while Su Xiaoruan leaned against the window curiously watching the sea of clouds.

Milian took out some documents to review again, ensuring everything was foolproof.

Lu Yin leaned back in his comfortable seat, but he didn't feel the slightest bit sleepy.

His fingertips unconsciously tapped lightly on the armrest, his mind filled with a tangle of thoughts.

Ailithos's words still echoed in his ears.

Everlasting Desolation Plain... God of Misfortune...

These two terms were like a heavy stone pressing down on his heart.

Unknowingly, he had actually become a key pawn in a game between gods.

Although he didn't know why Ailithos was so obsessed with winning against the Goddess of Luck, she must have some ulterior motive.

Time passed bit by bit, and the sky gradually darkened.

The cabin was quiet; most passengers were resting with their eyes closed or admiring the scenery outside.

Su Xiaoruan had already fallen asleep leaning against the window, while Ling Ying stared intently outside.

Milian also closed her documents and rubbed her brow, looking slightly tired.

Lu Yin also slightly relaxed his tense nerves, preparing to take a short nap.

But suddenly, a violent jolt startled everyone awake from their slumber.

The lights in the cabin flickered, and the Cloud Roc let out a sharp screech.

“What’s happening?” Milian immediately sat upright, her eyes scanning the surroundings alertly.

Su Xiaoruan was shaken awake, rubbing her bleary eyes: “Are we there yet?”

Ling Ying had already stood up, weapons in hand: “Something's wrong. This isn't normal turbulence.”

It was at this moment that Lu Yin also noticed the abnormality outside.

Outside the window, the originally clear night sky was shrouded in an eerie grayish-green mist.

The Cloud Roc's flight path became unstable, as if it were dodging some invisible threat.

“Attention passengers, please remain calm and keep your seatbelts fastened.”

The cabin broadcast sounded, but the flight attendant's voice carried a hint of poorly concealed nervousness.

“We have encountered unexpected weather conditions and are handling the situation.”

Boom!

Just as the broadcast ended, a violent tremor suddenly shook the cabin.

Almost simultaneously, Lu Yin, Milian, and the other two stood up at once.

Among the surrounding passengers, some fled in panic, while many others looked serious, preparing to face this sudden crisis.

While everyone was still in a state of uncertainty, the Cloud Roc let out another pained cry.

Its massive body tilted sharply to one side, and the cabin was instantly filled with cries of alarm and the sound of items rolling around.

Through the porthole, one could see that the cloud-like down on the Cloud Roc's left side was now stained with an eerie grayish-green patch.

The mist seemed to have a life of its own, corroding its wing.

The feathers lost their luster at a visible rate, becoming dull and decayed.

“It's corrosive energy mist! Someone is attacking the Cloud Roc!”

Ling Ying’s eyes were sharp, judging the situation instantly.

“All passengers, please do not panic! Stay in your seats and activate the protection arrays!”

The flight crew shouted, forcing themselves to remain calm.

The runes engraved on the cabin walls lit up one by one, forming a pale blue light shield that enveloped the entire cabin.

The shield stabilized the cabin and blocked out some of the turbulent energy fluctuations from outside.

However, the Cloud Roc's own jolting and mourning could not be quelled.

“It’s a monster attack. This can't go on. If the Cloud Roc is severely injured and we fall from this height, the consequences will be unthinkable.”

Milian quickly calmed down and looked at Lu Yin and Ling Ying.

“Someone must go out to check the situation and clear the threat if necessary.”

“I'll go,” Lu Yin and Ling Ying said almost at the same time.

The two glanced at each other, and Ling Ying spoke first.

“Let me do it. I am a Raptor Druid and have the ability to fly.”

“Let me see what kind of enemy it is first, then it won't be too late for you to act.”

“Alright, be careful.”

Lu Yin nodded, not arguing.

Ling Ying said no more. She walked to a relatively spacious area in the center of the cabin and took a deep breath.

She formed a complex hand seal in front of her chest and began chanting ancient, obscure nature incantations.

A pale green light emerged from her body, wrapping around her like vines.

In the next second, her form began to change within the light, stretching as her bones let out slight cracking sounds.

Under the gaze of Lu Yin and the others, Ling Ying's figure was quickly swallowed by the light, transforming into a magnificent falcon.

She let out a cry and quickly flew out the window.
