23: Burning Secret Realm

After only one day of rest, a Disciple arrived to announce the champion's participation in the Secret Realm event.

Su Yao only took one day to raise her cultivation to the Entering Profundity Middle Stage. Her Revered Master rewarded her with vast resources, and by digesting the insights gained from combat, her rate of advancement was much faster than that of ordinary Prodigies.

The most crucial point was the Luck she possessed; Learning Luck could be considered the top-tier Luck for assisting Cultivation.

As long as she watched powerful cultivators fight or engaged in combat herself, she could learn more experience from it, thereby increasing her Cultivation speed.

Paired with a formidable Physique and abundant resources, she was practically a machine for increasing cultivation without emotion.

As long as Su Yao underwent and fully digested a large number of battles, she could slowly raise her Realm even without absorbing any resources.

It could be said that this Luck was simply made for battle maniacs.

Today was the day the Secret Realm opened. After bidding farewell to her Revered Master, Su Yao headed towards the location of the Secret Realm.

As Su Yao walked, she pulled out the small notebook she was carrying and reviewed the knowledge within.

This was content about the Treant Secret Realm that Li Haotian had given her that night, containing some relatively important knowledge.

Su Yao shook her little head, carefully memorizing the knowledge points listed.

Su Yao clearly remembered which type of Treant produced the most Treant Origin.

A large crowd gathered outside the Secret Realm. They were all completely unfamiliar faces, and Disciples from various peaks watched Su Yao with interest.

The weakest among them had cultivation at the Entering Profundity Realm, and the strongest were likely at the Golden Core stage. Su Yao showed no fear, standing poised and generous in the middle of the crowd, quietly waiting for the Secret Realm to open.

Several Disciples from Tianzhu Peak exchanged glances, a cold sneer curving their lips.

The Chief Disciple had ordered them to secretly eliminate the young girl inside the Secret Realm and frame it as the work of a Treant, ensuring accountability would not fall on them.

If successful, they would immediately be rewarded by becoming an Inner Sect Disciple!

Driven by greed, the few individuals had long disregarded their fellowship. Under the leadership of Huang Bocheng, Tianzhu Peak had always been a place where personal interests reigned supreme.

Over time, the Disciples there gradually became sophisticated egoists.

They simply did not care about the lives of others; they only cared whether their own interests were harmed.

Soon, it was the day the Secret Realm opened. The Elder in charge of the Secret Realm also scrutinized Su Yao with curious eyes.

This was the champion that all the major Chief Disciples were vying for this year. He looked at her and felt she only seemed to have slightly higher cultivation, otherwise, she wasn't particularly special.

He heard that even the Sect Master regarded her as the Sect's successor and intended to groom her, but Li Haotian prevented it.

Everyone rushed into the Secret Realm, where a dense jungle spread out before them.

Su Yao was randomly dropped into the jungle. Looking at the surroundings dominated entirely by plants, a hint of excitement appeared on her face.

This jungle was filled with towering trees. Some of them were just ordinary trees, but others had already transformed into Treants.

Su Yao noticed a Wristband had appeared on her wrist at some point. This item seemed to be used to record the number of Treants she killed.

Relying quickly on the experience taught by her Revered Master, she found the first Treant. She struck with a fast, accurate, and ruthless Whip, instantly snapping the Treant in half and setting it ablaze with roaring fire.

Immediately afterward, a large number of light spots poured into her Wristband. Su Yao suddenly discovered that her Wristband contained the Treant Core, along with a drop of pale yellow liquid—this was the Treant Origin her Revered Master had described.

Su Yao suddenly had a daring idea: If the core and Origin of the Treants she killed automatically appeared in the Wristband, meaning she didn't have to search for them actively, could she just set the forest on fire?

Wouldn't that be incredibly fast?

To verify her theory, Su Yao started a small fire. Soon, a towering tree engulfed in raging flames collapsed, subsequently igniting the neighboring trees.

Not far from the burning trees was a Treant. Treants couldn't move but could counterattack with branches and leaves. Facing the source of the fire, it was completely helpless and could only watch as it was burned to ashes.

Su Yao looked at her Wristband and, seeing that another core and Treant Origin had appeared inside, she looked overjoyed.

She quickly found a Basin surrounded by mountains and immediately threw a fire into it.

Not far behind Su Yao, three figures were moving stealthily—they were the three Golden Core cultivators from Tianzhu Peak.

Just as they drew their Long Swords, preparing to ambush Su Yao, they suddenly felt intense heat all around them.

They saw Black Flames already burning out of the Valley. Clearly, Su Yao had miscalculated; the adhesive nature of the Black Flames was too strong, and the burning speed was extremely rapid, instantly covering all the large trees in the entire Basin.

A gentle breeze scattered the fallen leaves. Burning leaves landed on other trees, instantly igniting them too.

This time, not only the Treants but also the other trees in the forest suffered.

The three men, at a loss, tried to extinguish the Black Flames, but found it was useless no matter what they did. They were not Body Refining experts and were instantly scalded, screaming in pain, forced to strip off all their clothes.

The three quickly put on Daoist Robe, intending to escape, only to find they were already trapped in a Sea of Fire, and Su Yao, whom they had been following, had vanished.

Seeing the mess she had created, Su Yao wanted to find an Elder for help, but unfortunately, no one inside the Secret Realm had any means to contact the outside world. The Secret Realm exit would naturally open after one day.

The massive fire created by the Black Flames burned for an entire day and night. Almost all the Treants and all the trees were completely burned away. Hundreds of thousands of cores and a sea-like amount of Treant Origin collected in Su Yao's Wristband.

Outside the Secret Realm, the Elder responsible for opening the Secret Realm checked the Leaderboard in advance. The Wristband worn by every Disciple inside the Secret Realm recorded the number of Treants they killed; the higher the number of kills, the higher the ranking.

Usually, the rankings would appear first before the Secret Realm entrance opened.

The moment the Elder's eyes swept across the Leaderboard, he froze in place. He then widened his eyes and looked closely in disbelief, even rubbing them, trying to confirm whether he was seeing things due to old age.

"What? One hundred seventy-two thousand????"

Immortal Master Xuan Qing shot up from the Main Hall after hearing the Elder guarding the Secret Realm report that Su Yao had actually killed one hundred seventy thousand Treants in a single day.

He was dumbfounded after seeing the Leaderboard with his own eyes.

The Leaderboard could not be wrong. This meant Su Yao had truly killed so many Treants inside. For a moment, Xuan Qing was immensely gratified. A Prodigy is a Prodigy no matter where they are; even if taught by a Good-for-nothing, she remained an unparalleled Prodigy.

Killing so many Treants single-handedly was unprecedented!

The Chief Disciples from the other peaks, having received the news, also arrived, ready to see what exactly had happened.

Most people were there to watch the excitement, but only Huang Bocheng wore a smile with chilling eyes.
