378: for fun

"Then let me ask you a different question. If you had such power, would you choose to resist?"

Su Yao posed her question once more.

"If we truly had that kind of strength, we would naturally reclaim our territory and restore the glory of the Human Race!"

Everyone clenched their fists tightly, a look of resolve flashing in their eyes.

Su Yao nodded in satisfaction, a long-absent smile appearing on her face.

"In that case, I will lead you to sound the horn of the counterattack. Do you dare to fight?"

A calm smile appeared on Su Yao's face.

"Cowering here, you'll die sooner or later anyway. You have no strength and no capital to win."

"Take a gamble with me. What if we win?"

"You have to believe in yourselves!"

Although they understood the logic, they were still unwilling to throw their lives away.

"The two of us are willing to go with you, Miss!"

"If not for Senior's help just now, my Junior Sister would have already perished and gone to the Yellow Springs. To repay Senior, I will follow you even if I know it means death!"

The male cultivator spoke with righteous conviction.

The female cultivator felt the same.

"My life was saved by Senior, and since Senior is willing to go to the battlefield alone for the sake of the Human Race, I am willing to accompany you!"

Their attitude brought a sense of gratification to Su Yao.

"Since that is the case, the two of you shall come with me."

With a wave of her hand, Su Yao flew out of the cave, followed closely by the two. She slowed her pace to ensure they could keep up.

"We still do not know Senior's honorable name. Even if we go to the Yellow Springs together, we wish to show our respect!"

Hearing this, Su Yao smiled slightly and shook her head gently.

"I heard your conversation earlier. I can see that things haven't been easy for you."

"Do both of you wish for Ascension to the Immortal Realm?"

Su Yao didn't answer their question, but instead gave a faint smile and asked them in return.

"Naturally. Ascension to the Immortal Realm is our lifelong dream. Though it is difficult to achieve now, we still hold onto it."

Even while flying, the two held hands tightly.

"You two are truly devoted to each other."

"I happen to have some resources here. Take them; perhaps you will be able to achieve Ascension in the future."

Su Yao tossed a Storage Pouch to them, offering no explanation regarding her identity.

The two caught the Storage Pouch in confusion and scanned its contents with their Divine Sense.

It contained exactly fifty immortal fate stones.

The two had no idea what kind of Cultivation resource these were, and looks of embarrassment appeared on their faces.

They couldn't sense any immortal spirit qi from this Storage Pouch either.

They thought Su Yao had just given them some common, cheap items.

"Thank you for the resources, Senior, but after today, we might not even have the chance to use them."

Both looked somewhat despondent, seemingly convinced that this trip was a suicide mission.

"There's no need to be so tense and afraid. With me here, I absolutely won't let you die."

Su Yao sighed softly; these two still didn't believe in her.

The three flew over a city, and soon their presence was detected.

"Hahaha! I was just wondering how to earn some merit to ask for more resources, and you three from the Resistance have given me a great opportunity!"

A Powerhouse of the Great Emperor Realm flew out from the city, a playful glint in his eyes.

"How can you be sure we are part of the Resistance?"

Su Yao looked at the three of them in confusion; their clothing and appearance showed no distinguishing features.

Some of the Human Race in the town below were dressed the same way. How did he tell them apart?

"Haha, I don't care if you are or not. As long as I say you are, you are. Even if you're someone's slave, I'll just kill you, go back to claim the reward, and share a bit with them."

The Powerhouse laughed loudly and then reached out his palm to strike at them.

"It's over."

Their faces turned ashen. They had hoped to take some of the Alien Races down with them, but they hadn't expected to encounter a Powerhouse at the Peak Great Emperor Realm right away. Even together, they would be no match for him.

"You seem quite confident."

Su Yao extended her right hand and lightly tapped the oncoming palm. In the next instant, an incredibly terrifying aura erupted.

The previously arrogant Great Emperor Powerhouse's expression turned hideous as his palm was pierced through almost instantly.

There was a bloody hole in his hand.

"Impossible! What exactly is your Cultivation? Why can't I sense any of your aura? I couldn't even feel it when you attacked!"

The Great Emperor Powerhouse's expression was extremely grim. The person before him was either far superior in Cultivation or too weak. But if she were too weak, she couldn't have harmed him. Yet, if she were too strong, this world simply wouldn't allow such a Powerhouse to exist!

"I have no need to explain anything to a dead man."

Su Yao slowly extended her palm and slapped him into a mist of blood.

The two were stunned by the scene, unable to believe what was happening.

The Great Emperor Powerhouse they had no way of dealing with was like paper before her.

"Benefactor, what exactly is your Cultivation level?"

Su Yao smiled but said nothing. Instead, she pointed her right hand forward, and instantly, all the Human Race in the city were lifted by a strange and powerful force.

Then, Su Yao gently blew a breath, which instantly transformed into a sky full of black flames. In an instant, the city below was burned to ashes, and everyone else was turned into a handful of yellow earth.

Seeing this, the two were even more shocked.

"Take all these Human Race and leave with them."

As she spoke, Su Yao led all the Human Race she had rescued toward the next town.

The two could only follow blankly behind her to the next city.

City after city was instantly annihilated, and all the Alien Races within were wiped out. She even killed any aliens they encountered along the way.

Any alien race they met on the road would never be spared if seen.

The Human Race, long since numbed by torture, now had a glimmer of hope in their eyes.

They had watched their loved ones die one by one before their eyes, and some had even been forced to kill their own parents.

Torturing them in such ways that violated morality and values was what the Alien Races delighted in the most.

Killing one's own beloved and then weeping bitterly over their corpse made the Alien Races feel extremely excited.

They even treated this as a form of amusement, using it to entertain themselves every day.
