300: Sword Blind

Wei Zhou was slapped repeatedly until his face was bruised and swollen, and in the end, he had no choice but to compromise.

He threw his three portions of Fruit to this madwoman.

"Are you satisfied now? Hurry up and take that big snake away, don't let it keep chasing me!"

Wei Zhou's expression was grim. He had consumed most of his spiritual power running at high speed earlier. If he kept running for another half an hour, his internal spiritual power would be completely exhausted, and he would be at the mercy of that big snake.

"Heh, what do you mean I attracted the attention of the big snake? It was clearly you."

Under the shocked gaze of the other, Su Yao turned back, slapped the big snake, and then accelerated with a leap, rushing forward.

The big snake, which was already extremely fast, became even more furious after receiving that slap. Its speed reached its limit, its eyes turned blood-red, and it bared its fangs, ready to charge up and fight to the death.

Clearly, its speed could not catch up to Su Yao. With her full set of red heaven-rank magic treasure, her speed was comparable to a Peak Golden Immortal, something a mere big snake could not catch.

The impotently furious big snake could only watch Su Yao's figure move further and further away, but it soon noticed that there was another of the same kind running quickly in front of it.

This guy was not running fast, and it could easily catch up to him.

The blue big snake decisively changed direction and chased directly after Wei Zhou.

"Damn bitch, you wait for me, I will never let you go!"

Wei Zhou roared loudly, then immediately crushed an extremely precious teleportation talisman in his hand. A large amount of spatial power enveloped him and flew him away into the distance.

Hearing the other's heart-wrenching roar, Su Yao immediately smiled. She also began to escape into the distance, fleeing deep into the dense forest until she was completely safe from the giant snake's attacks before finally heaving a sigh of relief.

"Ouch!"

A scream suddenly rang out from ahead. Su Yao was startled and quickly looked back, only to see a youth with a white ribbon wrapped around his eyes and a sword in his arms run headfirst into a tree, then stumble and fall to the ground.

"Blind Swordsman? The Crown Prince of the Divine Sword Immortal Kingdom!"

Su Yao immediately recognized the other's identity. She really didn't expect to run into one of the Powerhouses from the five major factions here.

"May I ask who Your Excellency is? My eyes cannot see, so I can only judge by sound. I don't seem to know you."

The Blind Swordsman was still quite polite; he cupped his fists with a strange expression on his face.

"If you don't mind, Miss, could you help me walk for a distance? Just until I meet someone from our Divine Sword Immortal Kingdom!"

"I will certainly reward you heavily afterwards."

The Blind Swordsman was very sincere, cupping his fists and bowing to the air, completely unaware of where Su Yao was.

Su Yao somewhat helplessly found a wooden stick and then let him hold onto it.

Such a dense forest was indeed not very friendly to this blind man.

She didn't know how he had managed to Cultivate to his current Realm even though he was already blind. Could this guy even hit anyone while holding a sword?

Su Yao led him along, and she basically didn't answer the various questions he asked along the way.

Or she just brushed them off.

"Fellow Daoist, you are quite strange; you won't even tell me which faction you come from. Is it some obscure, unknown small faction?"

"If that is truly the case, I will certainly not look down on you. If there is anything, just say it."

The Blind Swordsman originally looked like a scholar, but after asking, he began to get curious.

It wasn't that Su Yao didn't want to answer; it was mainly because she didn't know what to say.

How could she know how to describe to him which faction she came from? She couldn't just tell someone else the location of her home.

The Blind Swordsman wanted to continue asking, but was directly interrupted.

"Either you walk properly and stop talking, or you walk by yourself."

Su Yao's words immediately choked the Blind Swordsman.

"Since Miss Su says so, I have nothing more to say. Thank you, Miss Su, for pointing the way for me."

The two continued on their way. When passing through a forest, the Blind Swordsman suddenly paused and pulled hard on the wooden stick.

The hairs on his body stood on end, and he suddenly looked toward the surrounding bushes.

Although his eyes were covered by a cloth and he couldn't see anything at all, he keenly sensed that something was lurking here.

"What's wrong?"

Su Yao looked puzzled. The Blind Swordsman did not answer the question but let go of the wooden stick, immediately picked up the sword in his hand, and slashed toward the tree canopy above.

The next instant, a fiery red figure indeed sprang out from the bushes, and immediately after, a group of monkeys also sprang out from the surrounding bushes, their bodies burning with raging flames.

The flames looked like they had no temperature at all; even if they touched trees, they wouldn't cause any burning. This kind of flame was particularly eerie.

Su Yao opened her mouth in surprise. This guy's perception ability was actually so strong; she hadn't even sensed the existence of these monkeys, yet he knew so quickly.

The Blind Swordsman held his Long Sword and stood directly in front of Su Yao. His Realm was Yuan Immortal, much stronger than Su Yao.

"Miss Su, please wait here and watch how I resolve these beasts blocking the way one by one!"

Then, the Blind Swordsman rushed forward, brandishing the Long Sword in his hand. His incomparably magnificent sword techniques displayed an extremely pure Sword Intent.

Su Yao really had no intention of helping him; she just leaned against a tree on the side and took out a Fruit to eat. The taste of this Fruit was indeed just as she had imagined—sweet and sour, very delicious, and it contained a large amount of immortal spirit qi.

After eating just a few bites, Su Yao felt a surge of heat in her lower abdomen. Large amounts of immortal spirit qi continuously surged into her Meridians, helping her nourish the spiritual power she had just used. The excess portion of immortal spirit qi was directly absorbed into her body, converting into her own Cultivation.

It took less than a quarter of an hour for the battle to end. Blood dripped continuously from the Long Sword in the Blind Swordsman's hand. He pricked up his ears to listen carefully to the movements around him, and after confirming there was no other presence, he revealed an understanding smile.

"Miss Su, I've kept you waiting. What were you eating just now? It sounded very crisp; it must taste good."

The Blind Swordsman walked over step by step, following the crunching sound.

Su Yao directly threw a Fruit from her storage space to him. This thing was just a nice-to-have for her; the resources in her own hands were far more powerful than these Fruits.

She ate this Fruit just because she had a craving and wanted to taste it, which was why she did so.

"What is your name, really? Why do you keep saying you are the Blind Swordsman? Do you accept this name?"

Su Yao asked the question in her heart and continued to pick up the wooden stick to lead the way.

The Blind Swordsman smiled.

"A name is not important to me; it is just a form of address."
