254: Alien Rift

The four of them were flying through the sky at a decent speed, looking down at the scenery as they passed.

A glimmer of anticipation shone in everyone's eyes; they were eager to see what the outside world was like.

They had been in seclusion for a long time. It was said that under the Sect's governance, the number of evil Cultivators had dwindled to almost nothing; they were basically nowhere to be seen.

The Sect's Mission Hall, which used to be packed with tasks to eliminate evil Cultivators, had become desolate. Most tasks had shifted to gathering herbs or removing Yao Beasts that plagued the villages at the foot of the mountain.

The Sect had begun to gradually release a large number of Disciples to head to the Fissure for assessment.

The aliens had not given up and still tried to send some Powerhouses to the rear of the Human Race, but they were no longer able to do so with such ease.

The strength of the Human Race had become terrifying.

To prevent the aliens from leaving their main cities, the Human Race had directly built an incredibly formidable defense.

A very high wall had appeared nearly a thousand miles away from the alien cities, enclosing all the aliens within.

Just by garrisoning this new city wall, the entire alien force could be contained.

Although it required a large number of Powerhouses and a Formation, all major forces were very willing to contribute money and effort.

The reason was simple: the resources there were incredibly rich, shockingly so.

Even after the aliens had mined for so many years, they hadn't been able to exhaust them.

Now, the mines and facilities were all fully equipped, and the Human Race could use them whenever they wanted.

Every force had essentially sent half of its Disciples to this world.

Everyone had their own share according to the rankings determined by the previous Grand Competition.

The Heavenly Profound Sect naturally received the largest share. Now, the situation in the entire Heavenly Domain was almost stable, and the major forces had gathered together to form an Alliance.

Once an evil Cultivator appeared, it was absolutely not the responsibility of just one family; the surrounding factions had to send troops together to encircle and suppress them.

The situation was gradually stabilizing, and each state began to develop vigorously and prosperously. In every region, a large number of common people responded to the policy call to have children.

Wherever they passed, there was a scene of prosperity.

"My goodness, such vast fields of crops. How much grain must this be?"

Everyone looked at everything before them, feeling a bit dazed and unreal.

Soon, they arrived in a certain country, which was entirely governed by Mortals.

"I always feel like something is strange. Although this country is composed entirely of Mortals, there is an aura of evil."

Du Xian possessed many Legacies and was very sensitive to such auras. In an instant, he detected a biting cold air constantly emerging from the ground.

"I can also feel the intensity of this cold air. What's strange is why none of these commoners have died. With such terrifying cold air, even an adult with a strong physique probably wouldn't last a week before dying."

Su Yao Cultivated a fire-attribute Cultivation Technique, so she was well-versed in all kinds of cold, sinister auras.

"Do you mean that this cold air appeared recently?"

Zhang Hai pinched some soil from the ground, but he felt no change in Qi when he held it in his hand.

"I don't know what the root of this cold air is. If this continues, a large number of Mortals will inevitably die."

"Since the root of this cold air comes from underground, why don't we go down and investigate?"

Zhang Hai pinched some soil in his hand, and then a huge Incarnation of a groundhog appeared behind him.

It was a Spirit Beast that looked exactly like a groundhog, with extremely long claws, which could even be described as monstrous.

Zhang Hai, in his Incarnation as a groundhog, frantically dug downward.

Whether it was all kinds of rocks or minerals, they were easily broken by him. His sharp claws cut through these things like cutting tofu, and he dug to the underground at an extremely fast speed in an instant.

"Holy crap!"

A curse came from the pitch-black cave, followed by frantic screaming and slaughter.

"Damn, what's going on?"

Du Xian's expression changed. His whole body ignited with flames, and he immediately jumped into the black cave, with the others following closely behind.

With flames illuminating the way ahead, they soon saw the situation below. This was clearly a huge underground cave.

Here, there were no so-called evil Cultivators, but dense swarms of aliens!

The number of these aliens was not small, but their quality was not very strong. This spatial fissure was clearly just a small spatial fissure; not even a Powerhouse at the Quasi-Emperor level could get through.

Soon, a large number of aliens were slaughtered. From the Formation they left behind, it could be seen that they intended to sacrifice the living beings above to expand the width of the wormhole and allow stronger Powerhouses to enter.

Everyone reported this matter, their expressions looking rather unpleasant.

The aliens basically no longer made moves on the Fissure side, but instead, the Human Race had sent a large amount of troops to the Fissure.

If they found another wormhole that could enter the Heavenly Domain, the entire Heavenly Domain would likely be looted by the aliens.

More than half of the Powerhouses from all sides were located at the Fissure, constantly searching for resources to send back to the Sect. However, if their base camp was stolen, all the efforts they were making now would just be resources mined for the aliens.

"This matter must be reported to Revered Master. I feel that the situation in the Heavenly Domain is becoming increasingly critical."

Su Yao's expression gradually became solemn, and a touch of helplessness hung on her face.

The biggest problem for the Human Race now was that there was simply not enough manpower; they were truly lacking in manpower.

The offspring currently being born in large numbers by the Human Race would probably take many years to step onto the battlefield; at least, that was not possible now.

But fortunately, the base of the Human Race was very large. As long as they were willing to have children, it would be almost no problem to increase the population several times within five years.

Once these people grew up, they would become the backbone of the entire Heavenly Domain.

Although the children born to Mortals were unlikely to be able to Cultivate, the advantage lay in their large numbers. It would be fine if a few tens of millions or even millions of Cultivators were born out of tens of billions.

This base was already very terrifying. As long as they existed, the Human Race would inevitably flourish in the future.

Of course, the premise was that there must be a large amount of Cultivation resources.

Everyone looked at each other, then continued to head further away. Most of the places where common people lived were very safe. They followed the map and began to search country by country. These countries were established not long ago, and the Heavenly Profound Sect had only registered them and had not sent anyone to be the State Preceptor.

It was inevitable that some people with ulterior motives would mix in to deceive the common people or the emperor.

The task they had to do was to catch all these people.
