While Li Haotian was patrolling the city, he suddenly felt a powerful aura rushing towards him.

He saw the Task Hall Elder, his eyes splitting with rage, charging towards him from the sky, roaring loudly and flailing his limbs.

"Li Haotian! I will have your life!!"

The man appeared to have gone mad; he had no intention of asking questions and was ready to fight to the death immediately.

Li Haotian was stunned for a moment before easily subduing him. Although the other party was a Peak Heavenly Immortal Powerhouse, he was simply no match for him.

With a full set of Immortal Rank Magic Treasures at his disposal, Li Haotian was now capable of fighting against a Golden Immortal.

"What has gotten into you? I am now a member of the Law Enforcement Team; how dare you attack me?"

Li Haotian looked very strange.

This guy must have gone insane.

Knowing his current status, the man still dared to attack him. Wasn't he just asking for trouble?

"I will drag you down to the grave with me! You actually dared to kill my son!"

Li Haotian was completely confused when he heard this. When did he ever lay a hand on his son? Hadn't they agreed that as long as the credit was returned to him, he would stop causing trouble?

"Who told you that? When did I ever touch your son? You returned the credit to me, so there is no conflict between us. Why would I still mess with you?"

"I am a member of the Law Enforcement Team now. I certainly didn't do what you're claiming. If you discovered your son was killed, you could have just told me, and I could have investigated it with you."

Li Haotian pinned him to the ground once again, then slapped him across the face twice.

After the beating, the burning pain on his face finally brought the man back to his senses. He climbed up from the ground, brushed the dust off his body, and his expression became very dim.

His last son, whom he had finally managed to have, had actually died just like that. That was his final Bloodline, and it was gone just like that.

"Where did your son die? Were there any wounds on the body?"

Li Haotian performed a routine check. He needed to carefully verify who exactly killed the man's son; if he could find the culprit, he would immediately take action to apprehend them.

"My son died of poison. He didn't know what he ate, and he suddenly died. You were the first person I thought of."

Jia Dafu, beaten black and blue, finally dug up his son's body with extreme reluctance.

This was not death by poison; it was clearly caused by an evil entity invading his body.
