21: Voice Room Meeting

Around three in the afternoon, a temporary voice chat was initiated in a WeChat group named "Wen Yu's Girlfriend Host Group."

Yao Yao, Zhi Xia, Minnie, Sweet Girl, and five other hosts Jiang Ye hadn't seen before—nine people in total—all joined the group chat.

Zhi Xia was presiding over the meeting, but her voice, unlike the lazy and seductive tone she used during live streams, became low, serious, and tinged with irritation:

"Is everyone here? Let's make the most of our time and have a quick meeting. There aren't many hosts in the room lately, so after we finish, hurry back to take your shifts. Don't let the room stay cold for too long."

She paused, her tone intensifying: "Tomorrow, Sunday, is a full-day assessment! The data directly affects the streaming resources our Guild will allocate to our room next month."

"For the nine of us, the total revenue target for tomorrow—twenty thousand!"

"If we meet it, the Guild will provide resources for promotion next month, and our room has a chance to grow; if we don't, given the current half-dead state of our room, forget about attracting new big spenders—even the ones you already have might not stick around!"

After these words, the group fell silent for a few seconds, the atmosphere instantly becoming oppressive.

Zhi Xia paused, giving everyone a moment to digest the information, then began assigning tasks:

"Each person, minimum standard, 1,500 in revenue! The remaining shortfall, Minnie and I will cover. Is that clear to everyone?"

A few weak responses of "Understood" and "Got it" came from below.

Clearly dissatisfied with this state, Zhi Xia directly called out: "Jia Jia, that big spender of yours who promised to help you tomorrow—is he reliable or not? Give me a straight answer."

The named Jia Jia quickly unmuted, her voice a bit nervous: "Sister Zhi Xia, I... I just asked him again, he said he'll try his best, it should... be okay, right?"

"I don't want 'try his best'! I want 'must'!"

Zhi Xia's tone was stern: "Keep a close eye on him. I want to see his gifts come through during your morning shift tomorrow!"

"Okay, Sister Zhi Xia."

She "hmm"ed: "Good. Meng Meng, what about you? That local big spender of yours, didn't he say he was quite interested in you?"

Another girl replied: "He said he'll try, but he has to spend time with his child tomorrow, so the timing is uncertain. I'll urge him again tonight."

Zhi Xia frowned but didn't say anything more. She asked two other hosts in succession, confirming their big spenders would be available tomorrow, and her tone softened slightly.

Her gaze swept over the row of avatars on the screen, finally landing on the name "Yao Yao":

"Yao Yao!"

Su Ning's heart tightened, and she quickly unmuted: "Ah, Sister Zhi Xia, I'm here."

"What happened with that 'Brother Chu' of yours before?"

Zhi Xia's voice carried obvious displeasure: "Wasn't he shouting in the room every day about wanting to date you, wanting to meet up? He drove away all the other big spenders interested in you, and then just disappeared? Is this a game?"

Su Ning was silent for a few seconds, her tone somewhat helpless: "He insisted on ordering takeout for me, and I couldn't stop him... Then, I was photographed by the Delivery Person."

Zhi Xia understood instantly.

In this line of work in voice chat rooms, it all depends on the big spenders' own fantasies.

Once they see your real appearance, even if you're average-looking or even genuinely good-looking, it might not match their psychological expectations.

Once the fantasy is shattered, naturally, the motivation to spend money disappears, and leaving is highly likely.

A surge of anger rushed up in her: "Haven't I told you eight hundred times! Don't let big spenders order takeout! If you really can't refuse, never leave a real address! Even if you leave an address, make sure the Delivery Person leaves it at the door or a designated spot—absolutely no meeting! Did you take my words as empty talk?"

Su Ning sighed and explained: "I know, I left a fake address and told the Delivery Person to leave it in the elevator. Who knew that Delivery Person never left and was waiting for me in the elevator the whole time."

"Damn it! Isn't this just pure sabotage? Report that idiot!"

Zhi Xia cursed angrily, her volume suddenly rising: "Then what about your task tomorrow? I've long told you not to keep acting aloof—chat a bit flirtatiously, give some fantasy, secure the money first! You insist on being aloof—if you want to be a pure girl, don't work in voice chat rooms! Now look, you have no big spenders left! Are you going to pay the 1,500 revenue yourself?"

She took a deep breath, forcefully suppressing her anger, and continued asking: "What about that 'Brother Ye' at noon? What's the situation? Never heard of him before."

Su Ning organized her thoughts: "I don't know either. He suddenly added me on WeChat, said he'd take care of my business. I thought it was some big spender's alt account, so I shared the live stream link, and he came in."

Zhi Xia pondered: "From what you're saying... it might be one of the big spenders driven away by 'Brother Chu' before, using an alt account to check on you..."

But she immediately felt something was off: "Huh? Wait, that's not right. He also gifted a bit to me and Sweet Girl, and he wasn't very enthusiastic toward you. If he came specifically for you, he usually wouldn't do that..."

The more she thought about it, the more suspicious she felt: "Screenshot your chat history and send it to me."

Su Ning said "Oh" and sent a screenshot of the brief chat history from WeChat.

After carefully reading it, Zhi Xia snorted coldly: "Hmph, seems he's not a good guy either, just someone looking to take advantage. I've told you before—deal with this type by sending some suggestive pictures to lure them in. Once the money is secured, block and delete them in one go—clean and efficient!"

She paused, then added: "But looking at it this way, it might really not be someone's alt account. Otherwise, he wouldn't ask such basic questions, and he doesn't seem very familiar with how voice chat rooms work."

After a moment of thought, Zhi Xia made arrangements: "Alright, Yao Yao, tell him about the assessment tonight, then spend some time with him. Tomorrow during the day, bring him into the room. Sweet Girl and I will help you reel him in then. If he could spend nearly 200 on his first visit, he probably has some resources. If we handle it well, we might not get 1,500, but a few hundred should be doable."

Su Ning responded: "Okay, I understand. I'll take the initiative to chat with him again later."

"Do you know how to chat and spend time with him? Use your strengths!"

Zhi Xia sighed in frustration: "Your voice is so sweet—send him a couple of voice messages privately, breathe a bit, whimper a little—what's the harm? Can he jump out of the phone and pounce on you? Think about your task!"

She scolded everyone in the group a few more times, then concluded:

"I'll emphasize one last time! Tomorrow! No one! is allowed to mess up! The shortest any of you has been in this line is three months. If you can't even complete a 1,500 task, pack up and get out! Don't let one bad apple spoil the whole bunch and ruin other sisters' chances to earn money! Meeting adjourned!"

The group chat ended. Su Ning exited the interface, looked at Jiang Ye's avatar of a bowl of rice in WeChat, then glanced at the pitifully low revenue data in her TikTok backend, and sighed helplessly.
