219: Should we commend him? - 2

Jiang Ye looked up, a bit surprised to see him back: "Brother An, you're done talking already?"

"What talking?"

An Zhengjun's face was stern as he snorted coldly, pulling out a chair and sitting down: "They don't agree to mediation, insisting on suing you for intentional injury, saying you went too hard."

"What the hell?"

Jiang Ye's eyebrows shot up, immediately getting fired up: "Brother An, then I'll sue them for defamation!"

An Zhengjun's mouth twitched violently, barely suppressing the urge to slam the table: "What the hell you're trying to say is 'false accusation and framing,' right?"

"Oh, then framing! That works too!"

An Zhengjun: "..."

Jiang Ye pondered for a moment, feeling he had to return like for like, and continued:

"Also, Brother An, them framing me like this has caused me immense psychological harm, tarnishing my innocence as a righteous hero. Can't we also make them compensate me for reputational damages, emotional distress compensation, and tonight's lost wages—I was planning to buy funds tonight, you know, the one that's skyrocketing the most, making me miss out on tens of millions..."

"..."

An Zhengjun originally wanted to scare this kid a bit more, to make him less reckless in the future, since not every time could have such a 'perfect' coincidence.

Moreover, he had a vague premonition that if Jiang Ye went down the path of crime, no one might be able to catch him, so he wanted to give him a warning while at it.

But now, An Zhengjun really couldn't take it anymore.

"Get out, get out, get out! Seeing you annoys me! Get the hell out of here!"

He stood up with a dark face, yanking Jiang Ye up from the chair, pushing and shoving him toward the door:

"If I see you again when I'm on duty, I'll beat you up every time!"

"Huh? I can leave?"

Jiang Ye stumbled from the pushing, full of confusion: "Brother An, I'm helpless too, this trouble came looking for me... Huh? Are you off work? Want to grab a meal together?"

"Grab a meal my ass! And you're helpless?"

An Zhengjun pushed him while complaining: "You damn live in Yuhong District, rent a place in Shenhe District, yet you run all the way to Dadong District every day to cause trouble. I'm starting to suspect you're targeting me!"

Jiang Ye didn't know whether to laugh or cry, trying to explain: "Brother An, it's purely coincidence, fate, fate you know? If fate brings us together, we'll meet a thousand times, if not..."

"Shut up! Get lost!"

An Zhengjun didn't want to hear another word, pushing him all the way to the police station entrance with a dark face.

At the entrance, Lin Wanxing and Tian Lijuan were waiting anxiously. Seeing Jiang Ye come out, they hurried over.

"Jiang Ye! Are you okay?"

Lin Wanxing quickly stepped forward, carefully looking him over. Seeing he was fine except for slightly wrinkled clothes and in good spirits, she relaxed and turned to An Zhengjun:

"Thank you for your trouble, Officer An."

Seeing the gentle and graceful Lin Wanxing, An Zhengjun's expression softened a bit, but then he remembered this woman seemed to be present every time Jiang Ye 'caused trouble,' giving him another headache. He let go of Jiang Ye:

"Take him home quickly! Keep an eye on him, don't let him come to Dadong again!"

"Yes, thank you, Officer An." Lin Wanxing thanked him again.

Jiang Ye straightened his wrinkled clothes and cupped his hands toward An Zhengjun: "Thanks, Brother An. Next time... don't glare at me, I mean next time I'll treat you to a meal..."

An Zhengjun couldn't be bothered to respond, directly turning back into the police station, his Back view exuding exhaustion.

Seeing the police officer leave, Tian Lijuan immediately wanted to rush over and hug Jiang Ye's arm: "Uncle! You're so cool! Did they give you a hard time inside just now?"

Jiang Ye irritably reached out and pressed her head, keeping her at arm's length as she flailed: "Alright, alright, I'm fine. Be mindful of appearances in public. Let's go, back to get the car."

"Huh? Uncle, don't we need to wait for them?"

"No need to wait. If I'm fine, they'll be even less in trouble, at most just a few words of criticism and education. I'll take you home first."

As he spoke, his right hand quietly reached toward Lin Wanxing's hand hanging by her side, trying to take advantage and hold her hand again to soothe his 'shocked' little heart.

Lin Wanxing immediately noticed his little move, raised an eyebrow, put her hand behind her back, and glared at him irritably.

Jiang Ye clicked his tongue, about to find another excuse, when he suddenly felt a warm little hand slip into his left hand.

Looking down, it was Tian Lijuan, who had taken advantage of his attention being on Lin Wanxing to successfully seize the opportunity and tightly grabbed his left hand.

"It's okay, Uncle!"

Tian Lijuan looked up, her eyes sparkling with little stars, full of admiration: "If she won't let you hold her hand, hold mine! I'll let you hold it!"

Jiang Ye helplessly rolled his eyes.

Girl, it's not that Uncle doesn't want to hold your hand, but the key is... holding yours doesn't make money... Looking at Tian Lijuan's glowing expression, his heart softened, and he let her be: "Alright, alright, let's get the car, I'll take you home first."

The police station was quite far from the bar, taking over twenty minutes to walk to where the car was parked.

Just as they reached the car, Tian Lijuan received a call from her friend Little Pink, saying they had all been released after criticism, education, and fines.

A Jie and his friend, because they threw the first punch and had a bad attitude, like those three guys, had to be detained for a few days.

She finally completely relaxed, her admiration for Jiang Ye overflowing even more:

"Uncle, you're really amazing! You said it'd be fine and it really was, you anticipated everything!"

Jiang Ye opened the car door and casually said: "Alright, stop the flattery, get in."

"Mhm, mhm!"

Tian Lijuan immediately pulled open the passenger door and climbed in, as if it were her Exclusive seat.

Lin Wanxing glanced at this 'third victim' who, in her view, had been completely won over, sighed helplessly, silently opened the back door and sat behind Jiang Ye, afraid of getting too close to Tian Lijuan and being infected by that 'aura of foolishness.'

The car smoothly merged into the nighttime traffic, heading toward the direction of the Ramen Shop.

The car fell into silence for a moment, with only Tian Lijuan still excitedly recounting the earlier 'battle,' and the low music flowing from the Audio.
