215: The places Jiang Ye had visited...
In the middle of the dance floor, on one side were three young men with unfriendly expressions, and on the other was the four-person Rainbow Squad led by the pink-haired Girl, Little Pink, plus two young guys who looked quite young.
Both sides were red-faced and thick-necked, shoving and cursing at each other, filling the air with tension.
"Damn it! You dare to grope but don't dare to admit it, huh? Coward!"
"Bullshit! Who touched you? Even if you offered that ass for free, I wouldn't touch it!"
"Shit! Say that again, I dare you?"
"Dare me then! Am I scared of you?"
The same insults went back and forth, mixed with various curses aimed at the other party's relatives, and the verbal fight was about to escalate into a full brawl.
Jiang Ye frowned, held back Tian Lijuan, who had raised an eyebrow and rolled up her sleeves, ready to rush in and "help her Sisters," and turned to look at a nearby Buddy who was watching with great interest:
"Brother, what's going on here?"
That Buddy was also warm-hearted and immediately began explaining excitedly:
"Hey! That Little Pink-haired Girl said she was groped on the butt by that Blondie while dancing, and she wouldn't let it go. Blondie flat-out refused to admit it, so the two sides started arguing. See, those two guys were called over by the Girl—they're probably her boyfriend and friend."
Jiang Ye nodded, listened to the argument in the center, and combined it with Tian Lijuan's angry supplement: "Little Pink and her boyfriend, A-Jie, were just getting free drinks separately. Who knew they'd run into this kind of idiot?" He finally pieced together the whole story.
To put it bluntly, it was the most common kind of trouble in a bar.
Little Pink felt she was groped, Blondie adamantly denied it, both sides had been drinking, neither would back down, and with the crowd egging them on, a small matter blew up into a big one.
Listening to the two sides argue from "did you touch me or not" to "I'll kill you," Jiang Ye rubbed his chin, quickly calculating his approach to the task.
Just as he was weighing the three options—"retrieving surveillance footage," "persuading them with reason," and "physical persuasion"—Lin Wanxing gently pulled her wrist, which was still held by Jiang Ye, frowned, and whispered:
"Jiang Ye, do you know them?"
Jiang Ye nodded, but didn't loosen his grip on her hand:
"Yeah, sort of. This can't escalate. Come in with me. We'll solve the problem and then go home."
Lin Wanxing looked at him as if he were an idiot: "Me go? How can I help?"
"Wanxing, you can't help them, but you can help me."
Jiang Ye turned his head, gazed at her, curved his lips into a "charming" arc, and spoke in a deep, magnetic voice:
"Only with you by my side can I feel calm and have the courage to face these disputes. You are my tranquilizer, my source of courage."
"..."
A vein instantly popped out on Lin Wanxing's forehead, and her fists clenched immediately.
Tian Lijuan next to them shivered violently, embarrassed by the sudden cheesy pickup line, and instinctively looked at Lin Wanxing with a complicated expression.
She didn't understand the grand principles Jiang Ye had lectured her about before, but she clearly understood this drastically different attitude—
Uncle's patience and "gentleness" toward this woman were completely different from the constant disdain and sarcasm he showed her! Why?!
Jiang Ye ignored the twisted expressions of the two women and was about to step forward to begin "enforcement" when the crowd suddenly stirred, and a team of security guards quickly pushed their way in.
The leading Security Captain was a steady-faced middle-aged man. He glanced at the scene, having no intention of mediating, and simply waved his hands at both parties:
"Stop arguing! You've had too much to drink, right? Go outside and sober up! Come back later to play."
The three men immediately protested: "Why should we leave? We're paying customers! This woman is slandering us!"
The Security Captain didn't bother with nonsense, waved a hand behind him, and several guards immediately stepped forward and grasped their shoulders:
"Brothers, stop making trouble. Cooperate, go outside and cool off."
Feeling the force on their shoulders, the three men, though cursing under their breath, knew that resisting on someone else's turf wouldn't end well, so they reluctantly walked outside.
A-Jie was furious and shouted at their backs: "Shit! Don't leave! This isn't over!"
Blondie turned back and flipped the bird: "We'll wait for you outside! Whoever doesn't show is a coward!"
"We'll go! Are we scared of you?" A-Jie and his friend, their blood boiling, chased them right out.
The Security Captain then looked at the Girls of the Rainbow Squad, his tone softening slightly:
"Ladies, if you still want to stay, please move to a different table to avoid further conflict."
Little Pink and the others were originally crashing Jiang Ye's table, and since they felt they were the victims, they immediately became unhappy: "We are the victims, why should we move?"
The Security Captain was expressionless: "It's for your own good. If you want to continue playing, change tables. Otherwise, please go outside and calm down first."
He paused, glanced at their hair colors, and added: "If you're truly upset, you can call the police. The venue has surveillance. But don't cause trouble privately. Everyone's been drinking; it won't end well."
Little Pink's chest heaved with anger. Watching her boyfriend chase after them, she stomped her foot: "Damn it! We can't let them win!" She then rushed out with her Sisters in tow.
"They won't listen..."
The Security Captain shook his head, gave a look to two other guards, who understood and followed them out.
The onlookers, seeing that no fight had broken out, gradually dispersed, and the music resumed, as if the interlude had never happened.
Jiang Ye: "..."
Wait... his "Peacemaker" role hadn't even appeared yet, so why did the plot jump to the next scene?
Are you guys security guards or actual security personnel?!
"Wanxing, let's follow them out and see."
Lin Wanxing frowned and was about to speak, but Jiang Ye added: "Those people are Little Tian's friends. They're young and naive. I need to keep an eye on them; I can't just watch them cause trouble."
After speaking, he squeezed her hand tightly, his gaze "sincere."
"..."
Lin Wanxing pursed her lips, looked down at her hand being tightly held, and reluctantly said: "Fine, I'll go with you to see. But let go of me first, I can walk by myself."
"How can I do that?!"
Not only did Jiang Ye not let go, he even tried to interlace their fingers, but failed:
"This place is crowded and chaotic. You're so beautiful, what if some idiot gropes your butt? How can a place that Jiang Ye has looked at be touched by others?"
"You...!"
Lin Wanxing was instantly covered in black lines and nearly choked.
Just as she was about to forcefully shake off this narcissistic drama queen, Jiang Ye decisively pulled her and Tian Lijuan, quickly walking toward the bar exit.
