212: Why isn't that enough? - 2 (Bonus Chapter)

Jiang Ye rolled down the window. Seeing that it was his own daughter tightly gripping the other person's arm, Old Tian finally breathed a sigh of relief—thank goodness it wasn't what he had imagined:

"Little Jiang, what are you two..."

"Brother Tian, it's nothing. We're not going out now, I'll just let..."

Before Jiang Ye could finish speaking, Tian Lijuan, terrified that her dad would actually drag her back, desperately slapped her hand over his mouth and turned to flash a smile at Old Tian:

"Dad! We are going out! We're leaving now! Right now!"

Having said that, she fumbled with her free hand and rolled the car window up.

Old Tian stood outside the car, watching his daughter 'holding Jiang Ye hostage' through the slowly rising window, and scratched his head in confusion.

Wait... what's going on? Why did he switch back to "Brother Tian"? Wasn't he calling him "Uncle Tian" just now?

Does Little Jiang change seniority based on his mood?

He noticed the car starting to rock slightly again, his eyelid twitched, and he finally turned around and headed back into the shop.

Inside the car, Jiang Ye expressionlessly slapped away the hand still covering his mouth.

"Uncle! What is wrong with you?!"

Seeing that her dad had left, Tian Lijuan let out a long breath and complained:

"I already told my girlfriends! I sent them the location! You can't just decide not to go; you'd be standing them up! How am I supposed to face my friends now!"

Jiang Ye sighed, looking at Tian Lijuan's pouting and slightly wronged expression.

After all, he was the one who initiated the outing, and although his intentions weren't pure, standing them up was truly dishonest.

Forget it. He'd just treat it as a purely recreational outing, and use the opportunity to scout the environment for the 'Peace Envoy' mission, serving as an advance team.

Without saying more, he picked up his phone and opened the location sent by Tian Lijuan—PP Club.

Huh?

This place... looks a little familiar?

Isn't this the bar where he first ran into Lin Wanxing?

Jiang Ye scratched his head, started the car, and drove into the night.

Next to him, Tian Lijuan, seeing that he was finally driving, completely relaxed and tilted her head to look him over:

"Uncle, you scared me half to death just now, suddenly changing your expression... Why was that?"

"Enough, stop asking. Go ahead and secretly gloat; you're the first woman in two years who managed to get a free ride from me."

"Huh? Free ride? What do you mean?"

Jiang Ye looked at her eyes, which were clear but contained a hint of stupidity, and then thought of the Charm points she had lost due to her "speech and conduct," and couldn't help but sigh:

"Look at you, only 19, not focusing on studying properly, messing around outside all day. What kind of behavior is that!"

Tian Lijuan scoffed and waved her hand dismissively: "What's the point of school? A waste of time! When I finish, don't I still have to help my dad run the shop?"

Jiang Ye glanced at her. He didn't even have the desire to refute this classic "studying is useless" argument.

Trying to explain the rules of real-world society to a Girl immersed in her own "spiritual world" was purely a waste of breath.

He focused on driving and said nothing more.

The car sped through the city streets at night, the neon lights outside the window rapidly receding.

Before long, the two arrived at the entrance of PP Club.

Deafening music faintly drifted out, a long line had already formed at the entrance, and the air was filled with hormones and the restless energy of the night.

Jiang Ye parked the car and glanced at the familiar facade. He instinctively started walking toward the ticket office, but when he turned around, he saw Tian Lijuan expertly running toward the "Face Check" lane.

He grabbed her by the back of her collar, annoyed: "Hey, hey, where are you going? Don't waste time, just buy a ticket and go in."

Tian Lijuan struggled: "Why spend money when we can get in for free?"

Jiang Ye rolled his eyes speechlessly.

No wonder this Girl's Charm value isn't high; her emotional intelligence is truly unmatched.

Too lazy to argue, he dragged her directly to the ticket office, bought two tickets, and entered the bar through the crowded mass of people.

Unlike the "standing room" treatment he received last time, Jiang Ye, now financially comfortable, naturally didn't have to shortchange himself and immediately requested a small booth with a decent location.

Sitting on the booth sofa, he took the tablet handed to him by the promoter and looked at Tian Lijuan, who was excitedly looking around next to him:

"Little Tian, where are the people you arranged for me? Have they arrived?"

Tian Lijuan quickly pulled out her phone: "Soon, soon! I just asked; they're all queuing up at the Face Check outside, so they should be coming in shortly!"

Hearing the words "Face Check," Jiang Ye finally felt a little relieved.

If they could use that lane, it meant their looks were at least approved by the security guards at the entrance, so they shouldn't be too outrageous.

He casually ordered two Jägermeister sets on the tablet, then leaned boredly back into the sofa, his gaze sweeping over the swaying figures in the dance floor, wondering if he could get lucky again and run into a wild Girl with a Charm value over 80, just like when he met Lin Wanxing last time.

Before long, a burst of chirping laughter approached from a distance.

Jiang Ye subconsciously turned his head, and his heart immediately sank.

He quickly turned to look at Tian Lijuan, only to see her already standing up and cheerfully waving at the four Girls: "Over here, over here!"

Seeing this, the four Girls immediately rushed over, giggling.

"..."

Jiang Ye wordlessly held his forehead.

How should he put it... As for looks, they were all heavily made up, and in a bar environment like this, they were acceptable.

They were indeed young; they were genuinely fresh.

But... the colorful hair, the exaggerated clothing, and that boisterous demeanor... they were completely the type Jiang Ye found psychologically unacceptable.

Watching the four Girls giggling and squeezing into the already small booth, instantly filling the space, Jiang Ye even regretted not getting a medium booth earlier; now he didn't even have a chance to sit farther away.
