Chapter 177: Berserker Unleashed

Chapter 177

Skill: Berserker has been activated.

All stats have increased a hundredfold.

Other skills are now inaccessible.

All incoming damage—physical, mental, or energy based—will be reduced by 50%.

HP will continuously drain for as long as Berserker is active.

Han’s eyes snapped open, now glowing with a demonic crimson hue. His breath came out in sharp bursts, and his fists trembled—not with fear, but with unchecked fury.

"You will all pay..." he growled, his voice guttural, bestial—barely human.

Suddenly, he crouched slightly. Then—boom!

With a thunderous detonation, the earth beneath him exploded, a crater forming from the sheer pressure of his jump. In a single, blur-fast moment, he closed the gap between him and the two dark emissaries.

Metallo reacted instantly, layers upon layers of metallic domes snapping into place with a clang. But Han didn’t hesitate. His fist rocketed forward—



CRACK!

The first dome exploded on impact.

BOOM! BOOM! CRASH!

Layer after layer of reinforced metal shattered like paper walls before the overwhelming power. In seconds, every layer Metallo had built was gone.

The two emissaries paled visibly.

Freak Eye’s third eye began to glow ominously, charging a massive golden beam aimed straight for Han’s head. He knew it wouldn’t kill him—but if it could even injure him, it might buy time to escape.

Zzzzzm—BOOM!

The beam made contact—and vanished the moment it touched Han’s forehead.

Disintegrated.

Gone.

Han’s defense had become so astronomically high that the beam felt like a breeze brushing past him.

Panic seized both emissaries. Without a word, they bolted in opposite directions, hoping to split Han’s attention and survive.

Han turned, his burning red eyes darting to the right—to Metallo. Then to the left—Freak Eye.

He chose.

And charged.

"No! Why me?! Chase the other guy!" Metallo screamed in his head as he pumped every ounce of energy into his metallic boots, pushing his speed to its absolute limit.

But it was useless.

With a single power-dash, Han appeared behind him—like a nightmare made flesh—and struck.

BOOM!

"AARGHHH!"

Metallo screamed as he was launched into the ground. The impact crushed his bones. His limbs trembled.

Crack. Crack. CRACK!

His spine snapped. First a fracture, then a break, then complete shatter.

He coughed blood as his vision blurred, staring up at the furious monster looming above him.

This was a mistake... I never should’ve entered this guild...

Who could’ve known the leader of this ragtag group held power greater than an S-Ranker?

Still pinned under the suffocating weight of Han’s aura, Metallo made one final gamble. With a subtle flick of his fingers, he summoned three long spears of pure metal, channeling everything into them.

Aim for the blind spot... go for the kill...

The spears zipped toward Han’s ribs.

But just as they were about to pierce—

Crack... crack... shatter.

All three spears crumbled before they could even touch his skin, disintegrated into nothing.

Metallo’s already pale face turned ghostly white.

Han was no longer a man. To Metallo, he was the Devil.

Trembling, barely able to breathe, Metallo tried to beg.

"P... please... le—let... me... g—go..."

Han’s only response was to grab Metallo’s right arm—and tear it off like a twig.

"AAAAAARGHH!"

The scream pierced the sky.

Then the left arm.

Then both legs.

Each limb was ripped off with cruel indifference, tossed aside like trash.

Finally, Han placed a single foot on Metallo’s chest.

Metallo’s eyes widened. No... no, please...

Crack. Snap. BOOM.

His ribs broke. His lungs collapsed. His heart—crushed.

Life fled his eyes, mouth frozen in an eternal scream.

Metallo was dead.

Han stood over Metallo’s lifeless body, his gaze empty—devoid of remorse or mercy. Blood dripped from his knuckles, sizzling as it touched the broken ground beneath him. The rage inside him hadn’t settled...

It was growing.

He slowly raised his head, scanning the area with heightened perception. The Berserker state had amplified all his senses to a terrifying degree—sight, smell, hearing, energy detection—nothing could hide from him.

And then he saw it.

Far beyond the city walls, a figure was fleeing across the wilderness at full speed.

Freak Eye.

Han’s teeth clenched.

With a deep growl, he bent his knees—and vanished.

A sonic boom erupted as he launched himself like a missile, crossing miles in a blur. The sky trembled as he cut through it like a meteor.

Back inside the shattered remains of Serenya City, silence hung thick in the air.

"Did... did you all see that?" a trembling voice whispered.

"That wasn’t Han..." another replied, equally pale. "That was a monster..."

Clara, Ronan, and Aiden stood frozen on a ruined rooftop, their eyes wide and filled with disbelief. What they had witnessed—the brutal death of Metallo—was something no S-Rank executioner could’ve matched.

The sheer violence... the cruelty... it was beyond human.

Clara clutched her chest, her heartbeat thundering against her ribs like a war drum. The oppressive aura Han left behind still lingered, pressing down on them like an invisible mountain. She could barely breathe.

"That wasn’t the Han we know," she whispered. "He’s... changed."

Ronan’s brow furrowed, both hands tightening around the hilts of his twin blades. Something felt off. Very off.

"I don’t think this is over," he muttered. "Han... he’s not just angry. He’s lost control."

Outside the ruins of Serenya, Freak Eye sprinted across the cracked earth like a desperate animal. Gone was his usual icy demeanor—now replaced by pure, soul-deep terror.

His breath came in ragged gasps.

His limbs ached.

And worst of all—his thoughts raced.

He picked Metallo. Thank the gods. I would’ve been dead. I would’ve—

But then he stopped.

Dead.

Cold.

Standing just ten meters ahead of him, arms at his sides, stood Han.

Crimson eyes locked onto him like a predator to prey.

Freak Eye’s heart sank into his stomach. No... NO—

He turned to flee in the opposite direction—only for Han to appear in front of him instantly, faster than blinking.

Before Freak Eye could even scream—

BOOM!



A single punch connected with his chest.

And sent him flying.

Freak Eye became a helpless projectile, tearing through walls, buildings, iron crates, cars, debris, entire storehouses—anything in his path. The sounds of destruction echoed like thunder:

BOOM. BOOM. BOOM. BOOM. BOOM. BOOM. BOOM.

He was launched back into the far end of Serenya City, crashing through the remnants of civilization like a ragdoll caught in a hurricane.

His bones cracked. His flesh tore.

But it wasn’t over.

FWOOOM!

Han appeared behind him mid-air and kicked him upward like a ball.

Then the real torture began.

A barrage of fists struck him from all directions—Han moving faster than the eye could track, his blows coming from every angle. Freak Eye was trapped mid-air, helpless against the storm of violence.

Crack! Smash! Crunch! BOOM!

Every hit pulverized bones into dust. Muscles snapped. Blood sprayed like mist.

He couldn’t scream.

He couldn’t even breathe.

All he could do was exist in that moment of unrelenting agony.

Then Han’s final blow slammed Freak Eye into the earth.

A deafening shockwave cracked through the sky as the mangled body hit the ground like a meteor. Dirt exploded in all directions. The earth itself split.

Freak Eye’s bones had been reduced to dust, his body shattered beyond recognition. But somehow... he was still alive, clinging to life by a thread.

Between shallow, broken gasps, he managed to wheeze,

"You... bastard... are a curse... to humanity’s future. You... should—"

His third eye snapped open, glowing with the last ounce of power he could summon.

But he never got the chance to fire.

Han’s fist punched straight through his face—shattering the third eye, then caving in his skull with a sickening crack. His head exploded like glass under a hammer.

Freak Eye was dead.

But Han wasn’t done.

Not even close.

He kept punching—again, and again, and again—his fists smashing down with inhuman force. Each impact created a new crater, each blow shook the air, sending sonic booms across the ruined city.

Boom. Boom. BOOM. BOOM.

Blood splattered everywhere. The ground trembled.

And still, Han didn’t stop.

From a rooftop nearby, Ronan, Clara, and Aiden stood paralyzed. Their eyes wide. Their lips sealed. Their souls cold with dread.

They had suspected it earlier.

Now they were sure.

Han was gone.

Whatever reason, restraint, or humanity had once been there—had snapped.

The monster before them wasn’t their comrade.

It was something far worse.

"What in the world is going on here?"

A calm, almost cheerful voice broke the silence behind them. The trio turned quickly—and froze.

Standing just a few steps away was Elexa, her brother Balor, the Hero known as Little One, and several of their guild members. The reinforcement squad—alerted earlier—had finally arrived.

Their expressions shifted from relief... to horror.

They looked out across the half-destroyed ruins of Serenya—then at the crimson-aura-cloaked figure in the center, still hammering away at what used to be a person.

"Did that... guy do all this?" Balor asked, narrowing his eyes.

Then his expression changed.

He stared at the figure more closely.

A flicker of recognition crossed his face.

"Wait a second... isn’t that the Fire God?" Balor muttered.

Gasps rippled through the group. All eyes turned to Ronan, Aiden, and Clara—awaiting answers.

But before the trio could say anything...

They froze.

Han had stopped punching.

What remained of Freak Eye was an unrecognizable bloodied pulp. Nothing but gore.

Han rose slowly, his glowing red eyes still blazing, rage unrelenting. He looked around—hungry, wild, unstable.

And then...

His gaze landed on Ronan and the rest.

Suddenly, both Ronan and Aiden’s systems lit up simultaneously.

> New Quest Received

Quest: SURVIVE

Reward: ???

Aiden swallowed hard.

Ronan’s jaw clenched.

Elexa frowned. "Would someone care to explain what’s happening? Why are your faces so pale all of a sudden?"

They didn’t respond.

They couldn’t.

Their blood had run cold.

Then, as realization hit Elexa, she saw it—saw what they saw.

And for the first time, she went silent.

Ronan turned to the group and shouted, his voice like a war cry:

"Everyone—prepare for battle! Don’t hold back! We can’t run—we won’t survive if we do! Explanations can wait!"

Weapons were drawn. Energy began to charge.

Yet the same grim thought echoed in the minds of Ronan, Aiden, and Clara:

If Han truly attacks us... is there any hope of survival?
