Chapter 191

Aiden stepped out moments later, his body drenched in thick, black blood that clung to him like tar. The fight had been far more brutal than he anticipated. These three-tailed beasts... they weren’t just dangerous—they were bad news. His chest heaved slightly as the tension settled, and a pale hue crept into his face. The memory hit him—there were still more of those monsters lurking throughout the battlefield.

If the guild heroes encountered them unprepared... the casualties would be devastating.

He halted mid-step, his eyes narrowing. But then, he allowed a faint smile to tug at the corner of his lips. It seemed he wasn’t the only one aware of how deadly these beasts were. Up ahead, the elite forces of the allied army were already locked in fierce battle with the monsters.

Elexa stood out like a streak of lightning. Fast—blindingly so. She took on three of the three-tailed scorpions simultaneously. Though she hadn’t yet dealt a finishing blow to any of them, there was no denying she was dominating the fight. Her body moved like flowing water, her strikes crisp and precise. In between her clashes with the giant beasts, she still managed to down several lesser creatures with minimal effort—her armor unscathed, her form graceful yet lethal.

But she wasn’t the only one making waves.

A confused scorpion beast suddenly lashed out, its massive front limbs tearing through the air toward an enemy that wasn’t there. Its claws struck nothing but dust. Then came a cheerful voice from behind:

"Wrong again."

The beast spun—too slow.

A barrage of deep green energy blasts slammed into its side, tearing large wounds across its armored flesh. Hovering above the ground in a green-and-white suit was Little One, the micro-human, floating with a smug grin. His presence was like a ghost on the battlefield—elusive, mocking, untouchable.



"Poor fellow," he said with mock pity, staring at the bleeding creature. "If you could talk, you’d probably be screaming: ’Whose bastard fault is this!?’" He laughed softly. "Don’t worry. I’m not heartless."

His gaze turned solemn.

"I’ll end your suffering."

The beast responded with fury, its three tails striking out in unison like venomous whips—but again, Little One was gone, vanished into thin air. The scorpion paused, bracing itself for another ambush.

For a moment, nothing came.

Then... a chill ran down its spine.

It turned just in time to see a massive beam of concentrated green energy heading straight for its face. There was no time to dodge. The blast struck with a soundless brilliance—vaporizing the beast’s head entirely. Its enormous body dropped like a boulder, lifeless and still.

Little One descended calmly, landing on the beast’s fallen back. His eyes swept across the battlefield, solemn now. He knew more of these creatures needed to be taken out quickly. The longer they roamed, the greater the threat.

Without wasting another breath, he disappeared again—another predator among monsters.

Elsewhere, the other elites weren’t idle either.

Shae moved like a dancer of death, weaving through a crowd of two-tailed scorpions. Her blue sword shimmered with ethereal light as she slashed through carapace and hide alike. With every graceful spin or sidestep, another beast fell. Her style was elegant, calculated, beautiful—yet every swing was fatal.

Bron, on the other hand, appeared motionless at first glance. He stood still, hands pressed together as if in prayer. Nothing unusual... until you looked across the battlefield.

Several meters away, two massive white hands—composed entirely of glowing energy—were engaged in a crushing battle against a pair of towering three-tailed scorpions. The monsters resisted, their tails stabbing, claws ripping, but Bron’s construct hands held firm. Slowly, inch by inch, the scorpions began to falter. Their strength was dwindling.

And then... the inevitable.

Their resistance collapsed.

With a thunderous final clap, the glowing white hands crushed the beasts completely. A loud crack rang out across the field as their armored bodies caved in like brittle shells.

Bron opened his eyes, breathing out slowly. Another threat neutralized.

Bron relaxed his tense muscles and let out a deep, exhausted sigh. The three-tailed scorpion beasts were formidable, ferocious even—but he knew they were up against something greater. Their enemies might be beasts, but Bron and his allies were warriors tempered by countless battles. And today, they would prove which side was deadlier.

Not far from Bron’s position, Shin knelt low on the edge of a jagged cliff, his fingers pulling back the bowstring with slow, deliberate control. A soft pink arrow shimmered into existence, glowing faintly on the bow’s notch. But Shin didn’t release. Instead, he kept drawing the string further and further back, the strain clear on his arms as veins bulged under the pressure. The pink hue of the arrow began to shift—deepening into rose, then fading into a glowing violet before darkening into a deep purple, crackling with suppressed energy.

Pain flashed across Shin’s face, his jaw clenched as he tried to compress the arrow’s power even further. He was near his limit. His fingers trembled under the pressure, and his breathing grew erratic. He knew he couldn’t hold the charge much longer.

With a sharp exhale, he released.

The twin purple arrows exploded from the bow like streaking meteors, ripping through the sky with terrifying speed. One of the beasts—a towering three-tailed monstrosity poised to kill a wounded hero—lifted its head at the last second, only for it to be obliterated on impact. The arrow didn’t stop there; its momentum and energy pulsed violently as it tore through two more beasts, each of their heads bursting like overripe fruit under the force.

In a single shot, Shin had eliminated three of the monstrous scorpions.

He let out a shaky breath, flexing his sore hand. There were only a few of the three-tailed creatures left now. Drawing another fully powered shot would be dangerous, maybe even suicidal. So instead, he began conjuring a series of standard pink arrows—ones he could fire rapidly and with precision. The battlefield lit up with streaks of pink light as he launched volley after volley, each finding its mark....
