Chapter 179

Han’s eyes locked onto Elexa, who lay broken and bloodied on the ground. Her body trembled, barely clinging to life. But Han showed no sympathy. His expression hardened, and he began walking toward her.

Each step he took was like death approaching—slow, deliberate, and inevitable. Elexa’s breath quickened. Her pale face grew even whiter. In her current condition, even a single blow from Han would be fatal.

Then, just as he took another step, Han abruptly shifted and threw a punch to his right.

A ripple in space tore open, and Balor emerged from the void—only to be met with Han’s fist slamming into his face. It looked like a casual blow, but the sound of bones crunching told a different story. Balor’s nose shattered. His jaw cracked. The force sent him flying like a ragdoll, crashing through debris as he disappeared into the distance.

Elexa’s heart sank.

It’s hopeless... He’s too strong.

Han kept walking until he stood over her. Without hesitation, he reached down and grabbed her by the throat, lifting her into the air effortlessly. She clawed at his arm, gasping for air.

"P-Please... stop..." she croaked, barely able to speak.

But Han’s fury burned in his eyes, cold and unrelenting. His grip tightened.

Elexa’s lungs screamed. Her face turned blue, then began to darken to purple. Her vision blurred. Her consciousness began to fade. This was the end.

Then—



WHOOOOSH!

A gust of wind surged past, followed by a deafening bang.

A massive glowing fist—pure white and pulsing with energy—slammed into Han, launching him backward. The force was so great it sent him skidding across the ground before he finally crashed into a boulder, cracking it in half.

Elexa dropped to the ground like a lifeless doll, gasping for breath. She coughed violently, her lungs burning as oxygen rushed back in. For several moments, all she could do was wheeze and blink away the tears clouding her vision.

Then she looked up.

Hovering above her was the glowing white fist. It pulsed with raw power and hovered in the air, unwavering.

Her eyes followed the trajectory of the arm it was connected to—and finally, she saw him.

A towering man stood calmly at the distance, blood speckling his clothes but otherwise unharmed. Beside him were three others—two men and a woman.

The woman held a long, radiant blue sword that shimmered with energy. One of the men gripped a sleek, obsidian-black bow, etched with intricate designs that exuded both elegance and dread. Another man, standing at the center, had two metallic arms, and embedded in each knuckle were glowing beast cores. A mysterious black bracelet adorned his wrist, though it was partially hidden beneath his sleeve.

And then there was the last man—his hand raised, guiding the floating white fist. He wore pristine white gauntlets, and Elexa realized with certainty that he was the one who had saved her.

Suddenly, a new voice echoed across the battlefield.

"Hey, I was starting to wonder where you all went."

With a thunderous crash, another figure landed beside them, sending a shockwave through the air.

"Good to see you, Sir Aiden," the trio—Shae, Shin, and Bron—greeted in unison.

Aiden waved them off. "Now’s not the time for formalities."

His gaze shifted toward their weapons, and he raised an eyebrow. "Looks like you’ve all powered up."

Shae nodded, the S-rank sword in her hand humming with latent energy. Just holding it made her feel invincible. But she wasn’t the only one. Shin’s high A-rank bow radiated deadly potential, and Bron’s white gauntlets shimmered with aura, ready to strike at any moment.

Nathan stood calmly beside them. Though he carried no visible weapon, Aiden’s sharp eyes caught the black bracelet on his wrist—and he knew. That’s no ordinary accessory.

While Ron battled the two Dark Emissaries, Nathan and the others had been rushed to the infirmary. Their injuries were severe, but under Mia’s swift and skilled treatment, they slowly began to recover. Yet, as their wounds mended, a painful decision weighed heavily on Nathan’s mind—one that hurt more than any physical scar.

He made the call to distribute the incomplete power weapons among the group. Though Shae’s sword was the only one nearing completion, Nathan believed even the half-finished weapons could grant them the edge they needed against the Dark Emissaries.

But when they set out... they didn’t find the emissaries.

They found Han instead.

Or rather, what used to be Han.

He wasn’t himself—his mind seemed lost in fury, and the damage he’d caused to the already-crippled city made one thing clear: he was the true threat now.

Still recovering, Aiden eyed the four who now stood beside him. They were undeniably stronger—empowered by their new weapons, radiating newfound presence and intent—but an uneasy weight sat in his chest.

Even with all this power...

Will it be enough?

Aiden wiped the blood from the corner of his mouth, grimacing.

One hit. Just one blow from Han was all it had taken to nearly kill him.

If he hadn’t activated Emerald Vine Mode—a technique that bolstered his defense and accelerated healing—he’d be dead. Even so, he knew full well that he couldn’t withstand a barrage from the current Han. Not in his wildest dreams.

"Damn it..." Aiden muttered. "Why did he become this strong?"



As if summoned by the weight of that question, the ground trembled beneath their feet.

A deafening crack split the silence.

From the fractured earth, Han emerged, walking forward as debris crumbled at the mere wave of his hand. A suffocating red aura pulsed around him, distorting the air, pressing down on the battlefield like an invisible titan.

The sheer weight of it reached them before Han did.

Bron’s confident grin faltered, his forehead suddenly slick with sweat. Shin’s bow hand trembled. Shae gritted her teeth. Even Nathan’s breathing grew shallow. Aiden’s stomach turned.

Death.

That’s what it felt like.

Raw, imminent, inescapable death.

"ATTACK—NOW!" Aiden roared, his body flaring with a violent black light as he switched to Dark Essence Mode. Unlike Emerald Vine, this mode offered no healing or defense. But it gave him something far more crucial in this moment—brutal, explosive offensive power.

Shin moved first.

He drew his new bow—an obsidian beauty of lethal craftsmanship—and summoned his arrows. At first, they glowed a soft pink. But as Shin pulled deeper from his core, the color darkened... to crimson... to violet... until finally they pulsed with a deep, menacing purple.

With steely resolve, Shin released all four arrows.

They shot through the air like bolts of death, humming with destructive energy—each one aimed directly at Han’s chest. Shin didn’t expect a direct hit. He knew Han would dodge.

But...

Han didn’t move.

His face remained a mask of fury, his crimson eyes glowing with madness. He continued walking—straight into the line of fire.

Shin’s breath caught.

He’s not even trying to avoid them...?

The arrows closed in. The speed was unimaginable. Each arrow packed enough destructive force to level a building. And yet—just as they were about to strike—Han’s right hand twitched.

In one fluid motion...

He caught them.

All four arrows.

Mid-air.

Barehanded.

Shin’s heart dropped. That’s not possible. The speed. The force. The raw energy of those arrows should have burned his arm off just by proximity.

But Han didn’t just catch them...

He looked at them—at the glowing violet death bolts in his palm—with nothing but contempt.

And then...

He bit into them.

One by one, Han began to eat them.

The arrows hissed, cracked, and pulsed in his mouth—but he bit harder, chewing and swallowing the raw destructive energy like it was candy. All the while, those hellish red eyes never left them.



Shae froze. Bron stumbled backward. Nathan’s face went pale.

Shin’s entire body was drenched in cold sweat.

He took a shaky step back, staring at the monster before them. His voice barely escaped his throat as he muttered:

"...We can’t win this."

The others looked at him in alarm.

"We don’t stand a chance... Not against that."

His eyes widened in horror as the truth settled in.

"He’s going to kill us all."
