Chapter 259: Destroy The Cursed (75)
Chapter 259: Madi’s last resort."Oh... I get it."
Han nodded like a man who’d just solved a puzzle only he could see. His eyes locked on the swarm of swords screaming toward him. A smirk split across his face.
"LET’S ROLL."
The ground cracked as he launched forward, scythe blazing in his grip. Flames roared hotter with every swing, steel shrieking as fire devoured it. Earth Swords rushed at him—fast, lethal, relentless. Even for him, cutting them down was no easy feat.
But Han wasn’t fighting blind.
His Analyzer Eye cut through their patterns, spotting weak joints.
His Eagle Eyes sharpened his vision until every movement was crystal-clear.
A burst of teleportation tore him through the storm, his body twisting with insane flexibility. Strength surged as his enhancer skill burned at full throttle.
Skill after skill, stacked and pushed to their very limit.
One after another, the Earth Swords shattered against his fire. To anyone watching, it was madness, a lone figure of flame weaving through a storm of blades, burning everything down as if the weapons didn’t even matter.
Time stretched. Minutes felt like hours. The clash was endless, brutal, and beautiful.
And then—silence.
Han slammed down from the air, landing hard on both feet. His scythe still blazed, but every sword was gone—reduced to molten shards.
Madi stood frozen, his face twisted in disbelief.
Impossible...
What Han had just done wasn’t normal. No, it wasn’t even close. That many skills, pushed like that? Nobody could juggle them with such precision. Nobody human, at least.
Just who the hell is this guy? Madi thought, his research and years of study crumbling in an instant. In all his life, he had never, ever seen anything like this.
"Why are you spacing out?"
Han’s voice cut through the chaos, then he was there, right in front of Madi.
The scythe slammed into Madi’s chest. The impact hurled him through the air like a ragdoll. Before he even hit the ground, Han blinked behind him, the scythe twisting into two massive warhammers.
BOOM!
The warhammers crashed into Madi’s body, sending him flying upward. His bones groaned under the weight of the blows, blood spraying from his mouth as he coughed violently. But that was just the start.
Han appeared in the sky with him. Teleport after teleport, he hammered Madi from side to side, each swing carrying enough force to shatter stones as well as bones.
The armor that clung to Madi’s body splintered under the relentless barrage. His defense crumbled, and then—
CRASH!
Han’s final strike sent him plummeting into the ground. The earth split with a thunderous boom, dust and debris exploding sky-high.
Han landed a moment later, chest heaving, breath sharp. "That should be enough to deal with one of them..."
But before he could take another step, the sound reached him, someone was struggling, forcing themselves to rise.
The dust cleared.
Madi was standing. Blood dripping, body trembling, but standing. His eyes no longer calm but now blazed with barely contained rage.
"You think you’re invincible?" Madi’s voice was a low growl, trembling with fury. "You think you’re unbeatable? I’ll destroy you here and now!"
He closed his eyes.
Han tilted his head, unimpressed. What’s he babbling about now?
Madi’s eyes snapped open again but this time they gleamed with vicious, almost unholy glee.
"The only reason you’re still alive... is because I couldn’t fully control his power. But now? Now I don’t need control."
His voice rose, raw, violent, broken with madness.
"He’ll destroy you himself!"
The air shook. Energy poured off him in waves as he roared,
"I call upon—TERRAGON! Rise now!"
The earth convulsed.
The ground split beneath Madi’s feet, cracks ripping outward, thin at first, then widened and widened until they could swallow an airship whole.
Han staggered slightly, the sheer force threatening to tear the battlefield apart.
What the hell is coming out of there?
The answer came sooner than he wanted.
A massive hand, armored in thick, jagged earth plating, burst from the chasm and gripped the edge. The ground groaned as the figure hauled itself upward.
Not just another Earth Warrior. No, this one was different. Its armor gleamed like sharpened stone, edges honed to kill.
A golden light blazed from its visor, piercing, radiant, sharp enough to cut through air itself. It carried no weapon yet its oppressive aura smothered everything around it.
Even Han froze for half a second, eyes narrowing.
This feeling...
It wasn’t an Earth Warrior. Not even close.
No, he was ninety percent sure.
He was staring at the Third Spirit.
The Spirit of Earth.
A small smile tugged at Han’s mouth.
So... the Third Elemental Spirit, here of all places.
Finally, it clicked the Dark Emissary’s suffocating grip over the battlefield, the monstrous earth manipulation, the endless waves of power. It wasn’t just him. It had never been just him.
It was all coming from the Spirit of Earth.
Madi caught the flicker of realization in Han’s eyes. His lips curved into a smug grin as he leapt onto Terragon’s massive shoulder.
"I told you who would get the last laugh." His voice carried calm, pride dripping from every word.
He patted the spirit’s enormous head or maybe its helmet. Hard to tell. But the gesture seemed to please the towering giant.
Terragon let out a chilling roar that shook the earth itself, the sound clawing at the bones of everyone who heard it.
"Now," Madi said coldly, his gaze sharp, brimming with satisfaction, "you’ll be crushed here. And now."
Han, however, didn’t flinch. His face was calm almost bored. No fear, no tension. If anything, he looked... amused.
And why shouldn’t he be?
Yes, the Dark Emissary had one elemental spirit under his command. But Han?
Han had two.
"You just said..." Han tilted his head slightly, the faintest smirk playing at his lips. "Who gets the last laugh?"
His voice dropped low, sharp, final.
"Let me break your little hope and end this."
His words cut like steel.
"Ifrit."
"Thunderwrath."
The names tore into the air like commands carved into reality.
In an instant, the battlefield shooked violently.
On Han’s right, a roaring inferno burst to life, flames towering, devouring the sky.
On his left, a blinding bolt of lightning crashed down, splitting the earth with raw, violent power.
When the chaos finally receded, the battlefield had changed.
On Han’s right, a figure emerged. It was humanoid, but nothing close to human. His body writhed in cosmic flames, two ember eyes burning like miniature suns. Fire surged around him, hungry, violent, alive.
And yet, the moment he appeared, the temperature dropped, the air seems to grow colder, heavier, suffocating under his presence.
Ifrit.
But the true shock wasn’t him.
On Han’s left, a dragon descended.
Silver scales glistened across its massive body, lightning crawling along them like serpents. Black stripes cut through the silver hide, giving the beast an aura of something ancient, wise, and terrifyingly beautiful.
Every crackle of thunder that burst from its body promised devastation.
Thunderwrath.
Ifrit’s burning gaze scanned the battlefield. For a brief second, his eyes met Terragon’s golden glare. He scoffed, uninterested, and looked away.
Thunderwrath, on the other hand, clicked his tongue in annoyance. His tail lashed as his stormy eyes swept the ruined land.
Tch. Damn it. Summoned this late? The fight’s already half over. I should’ve been here earlier to join the fun.
But then his gaze locked onto Terragon, and a wicked grin stretched across his scaled face.
"Hey. What’s up, buddy? Long time no see."
Terragon’s eyes flickered, his stone face cracking for just a heartbeat. He had been summoned here to crush some arrogant human.
To show the boy his place. To remind him of the gap between mortals and spirits. But this, this was not the battlefield he had expected.
Ifrit. Thunderwrath. Both here.
A really bad situation.
Madi, though, wasn’t nearly as composed. He stumbled, nearly collapsing. His blood ran cold.
He had studied the spirits for years, hunted for knowledge, searched for ways to claim more of their power. And now? He was standing face-to-face with two of them. Both under Han’s command.
Han’s smile widened as his blue eyes locked on Madi.
"You two aren’t scared of taking down that lump of rock, are you?" he asked, voice casual, almost mocking.
Even with Thunderwrath’s colossal size, Terragon was bigger. Ifrit, by comparison, seemed small. But Han knew neither of them would back off.
Ifrit scoffed, voice dripping with contempt.
"Scared? Of this rocky bastard? Don’t make me laugh. He’ll be on his knees begging once I’m done with him."
Thunderwrath chuckled, thunder rumbling in his throat.
"Hey, come on, Ifrit. That’s no way to greet a long-lost brother. Let’s be fair. We’ll just break his brain a few hundred times until he learns. That should do it."
Even though his stone body didn’t betray it, Terragon was trembling. Inside, rage burned, it was not directed at Han, not at the other spirits but at Madi, the fool who had summoned him into this nightmare.
Han cracked his knuckles.
On his right, inferno roared to life, forming a massive flaming scythe. On his left, lightning coiled and snapped, shaping into a long, hissing whip. His grin turned wicked, playful, sharp enough to cut.
His eyes never left Madi.
"Alright then..." Han’s voice dropped, cold and amused. "Let’s teach these two a lesson."
