Inside the silent chamber, everyone stood frozen.

Aiden, Ron, Clara—even Han—were all struck speechless by the absurd scene unfolding in front of them. Even Ronan, the ever-expressionless one, couldn’t stop the twitch tugging at the corner of his mouth.

The cause of their bewilderment?

Kael.

The young man was kneeling in front of Han, head bowed, pleading—no, worshipping—as if Han were a deity.

"Fire God... I beg of you," Kael had said.

Aiden was the first to snap out of the shock. He turned toward Han’s cell, confusion all over his face.

"Wait a minute. I’m missing something here."

He jabbed a thumb at Han. "When did you become a god?"



Ronan and Clara both turned toward Han, their questioning eyes stabbing into him.

Han’s expression twitched. It felt like he’d walked into some strange prank show. If he lied now, it might look like he was in on it. But the truth?

He didn’t even know what Kael was talking about.

"Let’s... just calm down first," Han said, facing Kael.

Kael gave a firm nod but stayed kneeling.

"You can stand," Han added.

A moment of hesitation, then Kael rose to his feet, still solemn.

"Alright. First of all... who are you?" Han asked.

Kael blinked, visibly surprised. The great Fire God didn’t remember him?

Then again... someone of Han’s caliber probably wouldn’t recall every passerby. He composed himself and began recounting their brief encounter—how they’d met at Small Light Park, how he fought alongside Laura during the monster horde.

Han slowly nodded.

"I remember someone helping out... but I didn’t get a good look at your face."

"Please..." Kael’s voice trembled, "if you don’t step in, Preston City will fall."

Han looked him over, then calmly asked,

"And why should we—prisoners—help you?"

Kael began listing reasons—duty, lives at stake, justice.

Han shook his head. "Justice?" he scoffed. "Try again."

Kael’s eyes flared with resolve. "Then because you’re a hero—!"

"No," Han said, cutting him off calmly.

There was a beat of silence.

" Okay" Han said, stepping forward, "you’ll do one thing for me in return."

Kael’s mind went into overdrive. What could someone like Han possibly want from someone like him?

Without hesitation, Kael dropped to one knee again.

"I swear... I’ll do anything. Even serve under you for the rest of my life!"

Han smiled sheepishly this guy imagination is too high. He lifted a single finger.

A sharp crack echoed through the room as a condensed bolt of lightning zipped from his fingertip, striking the white mechanical lock on his cell. It sparked violently, then snapped, the door sliding open.

Han stepped out casually.

"I don’t need a servant. Just treat us to a meal when this is over."

Ron let out a laugh as he summoned his warhammer. With a mighty swing, he shattered the reinforced mirror sealing his cell and strode out.

Clara placed a sleek white device on her lock. Strange symbols lit up and flickered. Within seconds, the mechanism clicked, and her door opened effortlessly. She stepped out with a knowing smile.

Ronan didn’t even flinch. In an instant, he swapped places with a random metal bat lying in the corner of the room, his body vanishing from his cell. The bat landed in his place.

Aiden was still laughing at Kael’s overly dramatic performance.

"You should consider a career in comedy," he chuckled, wiping a tear from his eye. "The circus is always hiring."

Then he remembered—he was still locked up. With a grin, he morphed his arm, driving his transformed limb into the lock. Sparks flew, but he yanked it out like it was nothing, stepping through the now-broken door.

He patted Kael on the back.

"Thanks for the entertainment, buddy."

As he ran after the others, he called out,

"Hey! Wait for me!"

Kael remained frozen.

They’d all just... broken out.

Like it was nothing.

This place was built to hold Awakeners... and they shattered it like paper.

None of them were normal.

Not one.

Kael’s knees trembled slightly as a single thought echoed in his mind:



"Monsters... I asked monsters for help."

The battle had reached its climax.

Chaos raged as explosions and roars filled the air, and it had become painfully clear—the Guild Elites were losing.

The monstrous behemoth at the center of it all unleashed another devastating dark beam from its gaping maw, tearing through defenses like paper.

"Everyone, fall back!" Bron shouted, his voice booming through the battlefield.

Shae and Raven were already retreating, but Bron hadn’t moved. He stood frozen, the dark beam heading straight for him. Just as the attack was about to strike—

Whoosh!

A blur of silver swept him off his feet.

Bron blinked, disoriented, then realized he was airborne—carried by a glowing silver wing. Relief washed over him.

"...He’s back," Bron murmured, eyes lifting toward the sky.

Hovering above, Silver Wing had arrived. His magnificent wings shimmered with radiant energy, forming a glowing triangle with his hands as he closed his eyes in deep focus.

The sight brought renewed hope to the Guild Elites below. Smiles returned to tired faces.

He was preparing that move—the very technique that earned him a spot in the legendary A6.

"Bind him! Now!" Bron shouted.

Raven was already in motion. With a powerful leap, he hurled his dual whips toward the towering monster.

"Expand—bind!" he commanded.

The whips surged in size, wrapping tightly around the monster boss, holding it in place. The beast struggled violently, the bindings creaking under pressure. Cracks began to appear—but Raven didn’t flinch.

Because he had opened his eyes.

Silver Wing’s arms spread wide. From his back, glowing feathers began detaching—each one reshaping mid-air into long, elegant silver swords. More and more wings grew and left, forming a massive arsenal suspended above the battlefield.

Within seconds, hundreds of swords floated around him, each one pulsing with deadly power.

His gaze locked onto the monster boss—and every other beast wreaking havoc.

He opened his palms.

"Hundreds Sword Barrage."

With a sharp clap of his hands, the sky came alive.

The swords descended in a blinding silver rain, tearing through the battlefield like divine judgment. Each blade struck with pinpoint precision, piercing the monster boss and vaporizing the surrounding beasts in blinding flashes of light.


It was a scene of awe and horror. For those watching—it was beauty incarnate. For those caught in it—unavoidable death.

When the light finally faded, silence fell.

The area where the monster had once stood was nothing but scorched earth. As if it—and everything around it—had been completely erased.

Silver Wing slowly descended, gazing at the result with satisfaction. They had won. Or at least... that’s what they believed.

But the moment of peace shattered in an instant.

Raven, still smiling, suddenly froze. His expression darkened in panic.

"EVERYONE! GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE!!" he screamed.

His eyes locked on Silver Wing—he knew he wouldn’t make it in time.

Without hesitation, Raven cracked his whip, wrapping it around Silver Wing and yanking him away from the danger zone.

Silver Wing’s body was flung through the air. He barely had time to process what was happening before he saw Raven... still standing in the blast radius, smiling bitterly.

"I’m sorry," Raven mouthed.

Then came the light.

A colossal dark beam surged through the battlefield, vaporizing everything in its path—Raven included. Dozens more were caught in the blast, their cries silenced in an instant.

"RAAAVEEEN!!"

Silver Wing’s voice tore through the sky as he landed hard on the ground.

He stared at the smoking crater where his comrade once stood.

His heart twisted.

Sadness gave way to horror.

He looked up.



From the slowly opening rift above the city... descended two of the same giant monsters they had just struggled to kill.

But what made him fall to his knees in despair...

Was the figure standing on one of their heads.

A bat-like monster, grotesque and otherworldly. Its body was lean but menacing. Its skin was dark like the void, and its eyes—pitch-black voids that radiated dread—seemed to peer straight into their souls.

The air trembled.

That thing radiated an aura far beyond anything they’d faced.

"...That’s the real Portal Boss," Shae whispered as she dropped to her knees beside him, exhausted and broken.

Her voice cracked.

"...We’re finished."

Fighting even D-rank monsters now felt impossible.

But this... this was an S-rank nightmare.
