1: Where is my coffin?

The sky after the rain was as clear as if it had been washed, and the air carried the scent of green grass.

On such a tranquil day, Lu Qingyu did the final thing of his life: returning to his roots.

He returned to the old residence, prepared to leave this world alone.

Although Lu Qingyu was only twenty-six years old, he felt his life had been worth it.

He was born into a top-tier wealthy family, a typical scion of a noble house with an IQ of 150. He took over the family business at sixteen and grew the company into one of the top three in the country.

He was a favored son of heaven in the eyes of others, a life that even Long Aotian would envy. But such was fate; heaven was jealous of his talent—terminal cancer.

He had written his will. As for the old residence, he told the uncle who had always cleaned it to return in three days.

Feeling a daze in his mind and his chest feeling as if filled with sponge, air only able to squeeze through tiny pores with difficulty, Lu Qingyu knew his time had come.

He used the last of his strength to lie in the coffin, straightened his clothes, and closed his eyes. Perhaps when he opened them again, he would see heaven.

The rustling of leaves in the wind had been in his ears, but the sound slowly faded, and Lu Qingyu's consciousness also dissipated.

But slowly, he felt something was wrong. Why did it sound like electronic static, and why were there voices? Most importantly, he had felt dizzy and weak just now, but now he was feeling more and more energetic—so energetic he wanted to open his eyes.

Lu Qingyu felt something was very wrong. Could he actually hold on for another two days?

Lu Qingyu sighed helplessly. The "sleepiness" was gone. Fine, since his time wasn't up, he could only open his eyes.

But once he opened them, he was dumbfounded.

Was heaven under an overpass?

Lu Qingyu bolted upright: ???

Holy shit! Where's my coffin???

Under the overpass, Lu Qingyu was huddled to one side. Beneath him was a makeshift bed made of two pieces of broken cardboard. But the one he had just lain in was clearly a Phoebe zhennan coffin worth tens of millions!

A nearby homeless man was packing his things—a tattered brown canvas bag and a pile of cardboard. Seeing Lu Qingyu wake up, he said kindly:

"You're awake. Hurry up and pack your things. Sleeping isn't allowed here anymore. The Urban Management Officers are coming to check; you should find another spot."

Lu Qingyu was stunned. One moment he was clearly in the old residence, lying in a coffin, and the next he suddenly appeared under a city overpass.

His head suddenly buzzed, and then a set of memories that didn't belong to him was stuffed into his brain like a ball.

Lu Qingyu was so stimulated he looked like he was having a seizure, frightening the homeless man opposite him so much he didn't dare move.

Lu Qingyu, a person of Blue Star, seventeen years old.

He was the biological son of a wealthy man who had been swapped at birth.

When Lu Qingyu was born, there was also a nurse giving birth in the same hospital.

The nurse was named Zhou Xi. Her child was also surnamed Lu, named Lu Jin. She wanted her son to live a life of luxury, so she used her position and familiarity with the hospital to sneak into the newborn nursery and swap her son with the child of the wealthy Lu family.

Thus, for the past seventeen years, Zhou Xi's son had taken the place of the wealthy man's son, living the ultra-luxurious life of a second-generation rich kid.

But Zhou Xi was particularly unkind to Lu Qingyu. She never gave him a kind look since he was a child. From kindergarten to high school, she ignored him. She didn't even care when Lu Qingyu became a troubled youth, fighting in school, dropping out, and ending up on the streets.

She wished Lu Yu would die outside so her son would face no threat.

But the most melodramatic part was that the wealthy man had long known Lu Jin wasn't his biological son. Because Lu Jin had been in a car accident the year before last, and during emergency treatment at the hospital, they discovered their blood types didn't match their son's.

So Lu Guozhong investigated and eventually traced it back to Zhou Xi.

And when he saw Lu Qingyu, who had become a little hoodlum at the time, he immediately gave up the idea of swapping the children back, not even wanting to acknowledge him as his child.

Under Lu Guozhong's upbringing, Lu Jin had excellent grades and was the image of a young gentleman. Meanwhile, Lu Qingyu had bleached yellow hair, smoked and fought, and was at the bottom of the school academically. There was simply no comparison.

For the sake of his reputation, Lu Guozhong simply gave up on Lu Qingyu, acting as if he didn't exist and letting Lu Jin remain his biological son.

People came and went on the overpass, cars were constant on the nearby streets, and the surrounding environment was noisy, but Lu Qingyu couldn't hear a thing. His head was currently buzzing.

After twitching a few times, Lu Qingyu sat there in a daze. The homeless man was a bit worried.

"What's wrong? Are you okay?"

Hearing the voice, Lu Qingyu shook his head vigorously. "I'm fine, I'm fine. Sorry."

Lu Qingyu was a bit shocked by the information in his head. No way, he had transmigrated? He transmigrated to this Blue Star and was reborn, replacing the original Lu Qingyu who had died under the overpass!

Lu Qingyu quickly accepted this fact, but he was feeling very flustered right now.

Lu Qingyu, living on the streets, was wearing short sleeves and shorts in early autumn. It was already night, and he shivered as a light breeze blew.

The nearby homeless man began gathering his cardboard to move elsewhere. Since staying here wasn't allowed, what should he do?

The homeless man had become somewhat familiar with Lu Qingyu over the past few days. Seeing Lu Qingyu's dazed expression, he said kindly, "How about you come with me?"

Lu Qingyu hadn't wanted to cry this much even during chemotherapy. "No, no thank you."

Seeing Lu Qingyu refuse, the homeless man didn't care. He slung his patched canvas bag over his shoulder, picked up a pile of cardboard, and walked away.

Before leaving, he threw a few newspapers to Lu Qingyu.

"Cover yourself with these when you sleep. At this temperature, people can freeze to death."

Lu Qingyu didn't know whether to laugh or cry. "Thanks!"

Lu Qingyu froze for a moment in the shivering cold wind, thinking back to his previous life—or rather, the previous moment—when the coffin he slept in was bought at an auction for eighteen million.

Previous life: Loved, hated, but never been poor!

This life: A total pauper!

Lu Qingyu had read novels when he was young. Others who transmigrated had systems or golden fingers. Lu Qingyu tentatively called out, "System? System?"

After a long while with no response, Lu Qingyu went crazy. "Holy shit, I don't have a system."

After going crazy for ten seconds, Lu Qingyu calmed down. Perhaps this was just life. Although he had everything in his previous life, his health was poor. While this Lu Qingyu had lost everything, his body was perfectly fine.

Since I'm here, I might as well make the best of it. My biggest problem now is solving my survival. At the very least, I need to get some money for a full meal and some clothes, then get a good night's sleep. Tomorrow, I'll figure out what's suitable for me in this world, like making an investment or something.

Lu Qingyu stood up, and his stomach suddenly let out a growling sound.
