183: Variety show live broadcast

The Assistant Director thought about it and realized that was true; they at least had to ask if he could come.

Thus, he personally called Song Yushuo's aunt, who was also his Agent.

At first, Song Yushuo's aunt refused. While this variety show had enough popularity, Song Yushuo wasn't very suitable for variety shows, as they tended to reveal a person's true personality, and she felt her nephew's personality wasn't ready to be known by the public yet.

Song Yushuo was right there when the call was made. He frowned when he heard the name Lu Qingyu. Once his aunt hung up the phone, he asked:

"Who called you, and what was it about?"

Song Yushuo's aunt replied, "A variety show. They invited Lu Qingyu and wanted to invite you to participate as well, but I refused."

Upon hearing this, Song Yushuo immediately got anxious: "Why did you refuse? Accept it."

Song Yushuo's aunt said, "This variety show is 'Extreme Heartbeat'. Each episode only invites two guests and involves live-streamed competitions. You aren't suitable for this."

Song Yushuo's aunt wanted to say that he wasn't suitable for competing against Lu Qingyu, but she was afraid of upsetting him.

However, this was precisely what Song Yushuo wanted most. He had been called Little Lu Qingyu for too long. Now, what he wanted most was to find an opportunity to defeat him fair and square, to let everyone know that it wasn't that he resembled Lu Qingyu, but that Lu Qingyu couldn't compare to him and was the one climbing the social ladder.

Song Yushuo was young, full of passion, had never experienced failure or hardship, and still thought he could conquer the whole world.

In the end, his aunt had no choice and ultimately accepted the variety show.

However, since they had accepted, they had to plan it so that Song Yushuo would win this livestream.

Pour in money; since the prince wanted it, they would just ask his father to invest.

The director of 'Extreme Heartbeat' was overjoyed after receiving the news. The King versus the Little King—this episode would definitely be worth watching.

He immediately had people make a promotional poster and announced it rapidly. The first poster released was for Song Yushuo.

When netizens who were urging for updates saw Song Yushuo, their first reaction was: Who is this?

"Song Yushuo, who is this? Even if I wasn't a fan of the people in the previous episodes, I at least knew who they were."

"Let's put it this way, some people call him 'Little Lu Qingyu'."

"What? Him? He doesn't even look like him. Why call him Little Lu Qingyu? If you're so capable, bring the real Lu Qingyu here."

"Song Yushuo is very talented. His debut work won countless film awards."

"I think Song Yushuo is better than Lu Qingyu, and sooner or later, he will surpass him."

"Sooner or later? When? He still wants to surpass Lu Qingyu? Our little brother has both talent and looks."

"Is the Program Production Team's connections this trash? We want to see the real Lu Qingyu. If you have the ability, bring Lu Qingyu over."

Just half an hour after the news was released, there were over 20,000 comments. Director Wang Sheng smiled happily and had his team release the post confirming that Lu Qingyu would also be participating.

Everyone exploded after seeing Lu Qingyu's promotional poster.

"Holy crap, Lu Qingyu is actually coming."

"Ahhh, little brother, I've missed you so much! You're finally back."

"I've been bombing his Agent every day for the past few days. It turns out it actually worked."

"Long time no see, little brother. I've really missed you."

Su Jixing did not expect that the artist participating alongside Lu Qingyu would be Song Yushuo. This Program Production Team really knew how to play the game.

Song Yushuo's performance since his debut had been unbelievably good, and everything had gone smoothly for him. Su Jixing decided to look into Song Yushuo carefully.

A director mother, a wealthy father, an aunt as an Agent, and his own film production company—he had everything that artists in the entertainment industry lacked most, and all of it was top-tier.

After looking at Song Yushuo's previous publicity, Su Jixing knew that the team behind this person was not to be trifled with.

Looking at these resources, it felt like he was aiming to make a big splash in the entertainment industry. This live-streamed competition was likely not going to be simple.

If Song Yushuo were his own artist, he would definitely ensure Song Yushuo won this competition, even if it meant losing money.

Su Jixing quietly labeled Song Yushuo in his mind.

The livestream would start on Friday morning and continue until midnight on Sunday.

On Song Yushuo's side, a professional team began planning the content for his livestream, focusing on showcasing his "personality charm" to craft an image of a genius who was talented, disciplined, and had diverse hobbies.

On Su Jixing's side, he didn't know if Lu Qingyu had any thoughts, so he wanted to ask for his opinion in advance.

"Little brother, the show starts filming the day after tomorrow. Have you thought about what you want to do during the livestream?"

Lu Qingyu believed that the reason the show's audience was becoming increasingly picky was certainly because they had seen enough of the conventional stuff. It would be best to show them something different.

For example, an unremarkable, ordinary day for a rich person.

"We need to use this opportunity to let the people from our company get some screen time. Go pick twenty people who are over 180cm tall and have good physiques."

Su Jixing asked: "What are you going to do?"

Lu Qingyu replied: "Giving some benefits to the family members."

Su Jixing: "---."

On Friday, the filming for 'Extreme Heartbeat' began.

Early in the morning, the Program Production Team split into two groups; one went to Song Yushuo's side, and the other went to Lu Qingyu's side.

The livestream started at eight o'clock. In the first five minutes of the show, Song Yushuo's livestream room had 400,000 viewers, while Lu Qingyu's livestream room had 1.9 million viewers.

Ten minutes later, the number of viewers in Song Yushuo's and Lu Qingyu's livestream rooms leveled out.

Following the livestream plan given to him by his team, Song Yushuo had his makeup team style him before the directing team arrived. When the directing team opened the door while carrying their cameras, they saw a handsome and fresh-looking young man.

Song Yushuo welcomed the livestream team into his home: "Hello friends in the livestream room, welcome to my home."

The place where Song Yushuo lived previously was too luxurious, and he was afraid of giving the audience the impression that he was showing off his wealth, so he had temporarily found this low-key place.

It was also a high-end residential complex, but it wasn't large—a 150-square-meter apartment that was tidied up and cleaned very neatly.

"I was hit with so much handsomeness the moment I opened my eyes this morning. I really love this kind of sunny and handsome boy like Song Yushuo."

"As a second-generation rich kid, his private life is so low-key and disciplined. This is really great."

"The single guys I know have super chaotic private lives. Shuo Shuo is definitely different from them."

Before eating breakfast, Song Yushuo did half an hour of exercise. After working out, his breakfast was a baguette and black coffee.

When he sat down to eat, Song Yushuo began interacting with netizens and answering their questions.

"I love exercising. Every morning when I wake up, I have to exercise for half an hour before eating. I think exercise is a very interesting thing."

"I like drinking black coffee in the morning."

"I have quite a lot of work today. I founded a company myself, and we're going to the company for a meeting later."

"Shuo Shuo is so amazing! He started his own company at such a young age. At his age, I'm still just mindlessly eating and drinking every day."

"Disciplined people are just that powerful."

"I've become a fan of someone this early in the morning."

Song Yushuo's aunt was watching the livestream while controlling the comments to guide the audience. At the same time, she also kept a close eye on the livestream happening on Lu Qingyu's side.
