181: I've never seen anyone order takeout like this before.

To be honest, if Lu Qingyu hadn't been going abroad, causing his domestic popularity to cool down a bit, they wouldn't have dared to risk letting Song Yushuo leech off Lu Qingyu's popularity.

Although Lu Qingyu had been in the entertainment industry for a short time, he had works, hit dramas, and his likability among the general public from variety shows was so damn good it made people jealous; his rise to fame was definitely a rare sight in the industry.

Originally, they didn't want Song Yushuo to leech off Lu Qingyu's popularity either, but they couldn't stop Song Yushuo from insisting he had to win Best Actor before he turned twenty.

He had a director for a mother and a billionaire for a father; the entertainment industry, which was difficult for others to navigate, was like a playground for him.

But sometimes one has to follow the rules of the game; if you don't want to follow them, you can only resort to crooked methods.

While leeching off popularity can make someone quickly known to everyone, it can also lower their appeal to the audience.

Lu Qingyu's fans didn't like Song Yushuo and had posted many negative comments; it was only because the company kept deleting them that Song Yushuo's reputation had remained so good until now.

It had been over a month since Lu Qingyu returned, and he still hadn't appeared on any shows, so fans began to bombard Su Jixing.

“Brother Su, does our boy have plans to join a film crew? Can you give us a hint?”

“Brother Su, when exactly is Qingyu going to participate in a show? If he doesn't come out soon, I'm going to forget what he looks like.”

“Brother Su, as a qualified Agent, shouldn't you be getting some good activities for our boy?”

“I'm begging you, let him come out and meet us. If he doesn't, his status is going to drop.”

Su Jixing's private message box was about to explode these past two days. However, Lu Qingyu indeed hadn't been idle this past month; Su Jixing didn't know when he had transitioned from Lu Qingyu's Agent to his personal assistant.

Su Jixing opened his phone's inbox; man, more and more people were cursing him.

He checked Lu Qingyu's schedule again; the business abroad had stabilized, Qi Fei was coming back soon, and Lu Qingyu only had to hold on for one more week.

His email was piled high with film, television, and variety show projects, but there was simply no time to look at them.

Moray had been practically inseparable from Lu Qingyu lately. Before he came, his father had told him that Lu Qingyu was an excellent person and told him to follow Lu Qingyu to learn; if there was anything he didn't understand, he could call his father or ask Lu Qingyu directly.

During this time, Moray had learned a lot, but it was truly exhausting; Lu Qingyu's working hours were far too long.

But Lu Qingyu was even busier than him every day, so Moray kept enduring. Finally, the hotel-side business reached a stopping point, and he could rest.

Lu Qingyu also felt a lot lighter after finishing this period of work. Thinking that Moray had been working alongside him and must have had a hard time, he felt he should treat him well since it was his first time in Dragon Country.

In the office, with twenty minutes left before work ended, Lu Qingyu said to Moray:

“Moray, what do you like to eat? I'll treat you to dinner tonight.”

Moray had recently become obsessed with ordering takeout in Dragon Country. On his first day, Su Jixing had downloaded some famous Dragon Country apps for him, Meituan being one of them.

Takeout delivery speed abroad was slow, but it was different in China; it was very fast, ridiculously fast.

After experiencing the convenience of takeout, Moray fell hopelessly in love with it.

Every day he would order takeout: “Lu, I've ordered food.”

Lu Qingyu: “That's too informal. Takeout is usually just snacks; I'll take you out for something good. There are many types of cuisines in Dragon Country, we can try them one by one.”

Moray: “I think Dragon Country's takeout is delicious. I've ordered it to the cafeteria. There's something I particularly like called Bobo Chicken. Let's eat together; we can go out for something else tomorrow.”

Since Moray liked it, Lu Qingyu had no reason to refuse. However, he hadn't told Moray in advance, and assuming Moray wouldn't have ordered much, Lu Qingyu thought about ordering some other things himself.

As they spoke, the two of them walked downstairs.

Lu Qingyu: “Moray, do you like river snail rice noodles? They smell bad but they're very spec—”

Before he could finish, Lu Qingyu was met by seventeen or eighteen delivery drivers walking out of the cafeteria, all in yellow uniforms with little ducks on their helmets.

Lu Qingyu: ???

What was going on? With so many delivery people, Moray calmly walked ahead of Lu Qingyu.

When he pushed open the cafeteria doors, Lu Qingyu's eyes almost popped out.

The cafeteria had ten long tables in total, each seating eight people.

And now, all ten tables were packed to the brim with takeout!

A rough estimate was definitely over a hundred portions; he even saw the river snail rice noodles from the shop he had recommended.

Moray: “I didn't order too much. Lu, which one do you like?”

By this time, it was time to get off work. The employees from upstairs didn't go home but all came to the cafeteria instead.

Seeing Lu Qingyu and Moray there, one said with a grin:

“Boss, you've come to eat today too.”

“Moray, thank you for the treat.”

Moray: “You're welcome, everyone take whatever you like.”

The employees walked in laughing, seemingly used to the sight.

On his first day ordering takeout, Moray had spent 17,000 yuan. The food here was cheap and delicious, and he couldn't help but order a bit more.

He couldn't possibly eat so much by himself, so he invited the employees for dinner.

When everyone first saw the cafeteria full of takeout, their shock was no less than Lu Qingyu's.

But they gradually got used to it, and they discovered that besides snacks, Moray's takeout included items from many high-end restaurants.

Ultra-expensive raw fish sushi, Boston lobster from the Dynasty Hotel, deep-sea caviar, black truffle steak—places they wouldn't even splurge on during holidays actually offered takeout!

Moray had ordered over 14,000 yuan worth of takeout, and this had been going on for over ten days.

He truly loved this app and was currently in the middle of a novel experience.

Every day, he just had to select items on the app, and in less than an hour, everything would be delivered. It was truly wonderful.

Moray picked three items from the many takeout bags, placed them on a small table, and then asked Lu Qingyu:

“Lu, what do you like to eat?”

Lu Qingyu gave an awkward smile. Looking at the table full of food, he hadn't expected takeout could be ordered this way.

Lu Qingyu randomly picked up a box of noodles from the table: “I'll eat this.”

Moray: “Let's eat together.”

Seeing that Moray and Lu Qingyu had finished picking, the employees didn't hold back either; they opened the remaining takeout to eat together, and some things that couldn't be finished were packed up to take home and reheat for their families.

Moray was now very proficient with chopsticks, and his hands were well-practiced at opening takeout packaging.

Lu Qingyu could tell at a glance that this wasn't his first day doing this.

“How long have you been eating like this?”

Moray: “What?”

Lu Qingyu: “I mean, how long have you been ordering this much stuff every day?”

Moray: “Not long, just about ten days or so.”

Lu Qingyu suddenly realized. He had been wondering why the company employees had been acting strange lately, seeming to head to the cafeteria instead of going home as soon as they got off work.
