102: Chapter 102 The Mushroom People

Gu Han's thoughts flickered.

He summoned the Mushroom Person, who was busy transporting ore, directly in front of him. This thing looked no different from the Black-Armored Ant-men, and it was even working quite diligently.

Gu Han summoned another Ant-Fist Shrimp-Man.

"You, come here and punch it."

After bowing respectfully, the Ant-Fist Shrimp-Man unceremoniously landed a punch squarely on the "White-Armored Ant-Man"'s chest.

After a dull thud, the upper body of the "White-Armored Ant-Man" exploded on the spot. There was no blood, only white, flesh-like fungi splattering everywhere and scattering across the ground.

Within a few seconds, the severed half of the body on the ground began to squirm eerily.

Those scattered white mycelia seemed to come alive, growing and intertwining frantically, climbing up along the severed edges to reorganize.

Not only did the shattered upper body grow back, but its appearance also changed, completely transforming into the likeness of the Ant-Fist Shrimp-Man that had just punched it.

Gu Han stared at it with great interest.

"The two of you, punch each other again."

The two identical "Ant-fist Shrimp-men" collided, both throwing punches at each other simultaneously.

The fake was blown apart again without any suspense, shattering into a puddle once more.

"A total weakling," Gu Han concluded. "This thing only has the ability to mimic appearances; it can't copy the original's attributes or power at all. It's purely an empty shell."

Gu Han then summoned a Hidden-Armor Ant-Man.

"Stab it with your stinger."

A Hidden-Armor Ant-Man leaped forward, raising its stinger high and stabbing it fiercely into the puddle of white sludge that was in the process of reorganizing.

The moment the toxin entered its body.

Accompanied by a sizzling corrosive sound, the Mushroom Person's body rapidly turned black, and large patches of fungi withered and hardened.

But this thing reacted extremely quickly, actively disintegrating its own body to sever and discard all the necrotized black parts, while the remaining healthy mycelia rapidly shrank and decomposed.

In the blink of an eye, a white Hidden-Armor Ant-Man hovered in the air, identical to the Hidden-Armor Ant-Man. It could actually fly using wings simulated by fungi; it was truly peculiar.

This is the characteristic of a fungal composite: the venom can only kill the individuals it touches, while the parts inside that didn't come into contact with the poison remain alive.

No wonder they could transform into a Cyst Demon in the opposing Divine Kingdom to collect venom without being poisoned to death.

Gu Han wasn't ready to give up yet; he summoned a Shield-Armored Ant-Men and ordered it to flatten it.

Gu Han stood by and waited quietly.

A few minutes later, the puddle of white sludge began to absorb the surrounding scattered mycelia, its volume expanding wildly until it finally rose from the ground, transforming into a burly, white Shield-Armored Ant-Men.

"So it changes its size by increasing or decreasing the amount of fungi—an unkillable weakling, huh?"

Gu Han stroked his chin.

Physical attacks were useless, and toxin attacks could only reduce its volume.

Was it truly unkillable? Let's try lightning.

Gu Han ordered the Hidden-Armor Ant-Man to discharge electricity at it, and a thick arc of electricity burst directly onto the white Shield-Armored Ant-Men.

This time, it withered completely. The current conducted instantly through the tightly connected fungal colony, just like detonating a powder keg.

The surface and the internal mycelia were all charred and tenderized by the electricity, emitting the scent of roasted mushrooms.

"It fears electricity," Gu Han said, looking at the clumps on the ground. "The conductivity is too high; one dies, and the whole nest goes."

In the soil under his feet, the white spores that had scattered earlier had already begun to take root, sprouting a patch of dense, small white mushrooms.

Gu Han picked the best-preserved small mushroom and stored it in a card, having the Hidden-Armor Ant-Man electrocute the rest.

His mind raced.

This thing's mimicry ability was ridiculously strong; as long as it was equipped with a hard shell, it would be an unkillable existence on the battlefield.

Gu Han immediately thought of cross-Reproduction it with Scaly-foot Snails, allowing the fungi to be covered in metal.

No, wouldn't an entirely metallic body just alert the enemy to use electricity?

He needed an insulator.

After asking his smart assistant to recommend a few types, Gu Han snapped his fingers and selected Diatom.

The fission Reproduction method of Diatom perfectly matched the fungi, and the silicon crystal shell was a pure insulator.

Coupled with the fungi acting as a buffer layer inside, it could perfectly compensate for the disadvantage of the silicon crystal being brittle and easily shattered.

"The hardness of silicon crystal is greater than steel; let's give it a try."

In the following days, apart from class time, Gu Han spent most of his time immersed in the Divine Kingdom.

The outskirts of the Divine Kingdom had now become a magnified world.

After repeated iterations with plants, the results of cross-Reproduction the plant lineage with the male Titan Race were extremely significant.

Gu Han hovered above the continuous mountain range, looking down at the colossal plants below. That was the Titan Snake Banyan, which had mutated from the Iron Vine Snake Banyan.

The main trunk was thick and towering, piercing straight into the clouds; it was three times larger than the Iron Vine Snake Banyan and was still growing.

Its outer skin presented a bronze, rock-like texture, and the most exaggerated part was its drooping vine branches.

They could no longer be considered ordinary plant vines. Each vine branch exhibited a knotted, muscular form, resembling thick, long arms.

It was unimaginable whether intruders would be crushed to death by these vine-arms when attacking the Titan Snake Banyan.

The originally low-growing spirit grasses and spirit-enlightening grass by the roadside had all grown to two meters tall, and the Titan-level divine plant were all thick-rooted and sturdy; even if their medicinal efficacy hadn't increased, this mass was terrifying.

As for the offspring Forced Breeding between the male Titan Race and the queen ants, there wasn't much change, not to mention the Six-Winged Chicken.

This new generation of Ant-men was only a little over two meters tall; they were indeed a circle sturdier than ordinary Ant-men, but they completely failed to show the ten-meter-tall oppressive presence of the Titan Race.

Sure enough, while plants could grow into giants, the size of animals was still determined by the mother.

Just like the White-Feathered Six-Winged Beast and the Six-Winged Chicken back then, the Six-Winged Chicken born from a hen would not be as massive as a Six-Winged Beast.

If he wanted to cultivate massive Titan Ant-men, he had to rely on those female Titan Race.

The D-rank divine building [brain storage] was performing stably.

At first, this group of female Titan Race was also extremely manic, pointing at the sky and cursing, refusing to eat or drink.

But now they were no longer manic; their daily routine was to eat their fill and then lie down to sleep.

However, the reproduction of the Titan Race was truly astonishing.

A year had passed, and the bellies of these ten female Titan Race had only just begun to bulge. It was unknown how many more years they would have to endure before they actually gave birth to offspring.

Gu Han was not in a hurry either.

Anyway, the flow of time in the Divine Kingdom was fast, and with [brain storage] suppressing them, the female Titan Race wouldn't cause any trouble. Once this batch of Ant-men with Titan-sized bodies was born, the high-end combat power of the Divine Kingdom would undergo a qualitative change.

The only pity was that the male Titan Race died suddenly; he hadn't expected this race's reproductive ability to be so pathetic.

In the Divine Kingdom Core planting area, the money spent on divine buildings was truly not wasted; over a dozen completely different alternative versions of divine plant were growing amazingly.

The battle-mark grass had basically been phased out of use and was only supplied for sale. The Ant-men had all switched to an alternative for the S-rank Magic-Mark Wood; there was no need to molt, the effect was even better than the original B-rank battle-mark grass, and it could also increase magic resistance.

Gu Han did not intend to sell strategic resources like the Magic-Mark Wood, but instead selected nine types of alternative divine plant that had high market demand but less effective performance.

He stored them in resource cards and sent them over to the Abyss Arena.

Gu Han had already completed the loan agreement. As for the 200 billion debt, after discussion between both parties, Gu Han negotiated to deduct 20% from the profits to repay it slowly, and they also helped him rent ten Divine Kingdoms specifically for cultivation.

They were certainly happy to see Gu Han pay it back slowly, after all, it was compound interest.

But while they could make a small profit, Gu Han definitely wouldn't lose out.

After all, there was still a one-year interest-free period.

Just then, a software notification sounded.

Gu Han clicked to view it: an invitation from the Abyss Arena.

What kind of scheme did this software want to pull now?
