121: Chapter 121 Asking Fans for Remuneration

"Brothers, I'm not going to make it this round! You guys hold on!"

A rough roar exploded amidst the artillery fire, sending yellow sand flying into the air.

Large groups of Crystal-armored Scorpions climbed up the sand dunes, the hail of bullets clanging against their carapaces.

A Demigod possessed a level-six Orc, brandishing a crescent blade as he leaped straight off the high ground, followed by dozens of Berserk Orcs.

"Hurry and go! I'll buy you time!" the Orc Lord roared.

At the rear position.

"Captain!"

The Female Elf Demigod hurriedly waved her staff and chanted, and a massive teleportation circle lit up. The light of the circle enveloped all the remaining Sapiens, Dwarf, and Elf believers.

The light flickered, the position instantly emptied, and all the Crystal-armored Scorpions charged toward the remaining Orc squad.

The Elf's teleportation landing point was on the leeward slope a few kilometers away.

Just as they landed.

The sand layer beneath their feet suddenly rolled violently.

Three massive Sand Swallowers burst out from the soil, opening their giant mouths filled with ringed sharp teeth to bite at the crowd.

"Damn it!" the Human Demigod cursed, ordering the believers to scatter quickly.

The Dwarf Demigod reacted extremely quickly, slamming his hands onto the ground and activating his Lord skill: "Bind!"

Three translucent chains rose from the ground, tightly wrapping around the massive bodies of the three Sand Swallowers, pinning them in mid-air.

"Fire!"

Dwarf believers set up heavy artillery, and Sapiens believers fired heavy machine guns wildly at the Sand Swallowers' heads. The Elves pulled their longbows to the limit, magic arrows shooting precisely into the wide-open mouths of the Sand Swallowers.

Green bodily fluids splattered everywhere.

In a few seconds, the three Sand Swallowers were riddled with holes.

The Human Demigod, while ordering reloads, grumbled: "The monsters in this Wild Sand Realm are too rampant! The military opened it up for outsiders to take missions, but nobody comes at all! It's all dumped on our cleanup squad!"

"If we don't finish cleaning this up, we'll get penalized again when we go back."

The Female Elf Demigod looked at the injured Elves in her team with heartache: "Stop complaining. Just hold on a little longer and we can teleport back. If we can't hold this wave, all of our believers will be wiped out here. I've spent three whole years cultivating my Ayana and poured so many resources into her; if she dies, I won't want to live either."

The Dwarf Demigod roared to interrupt them: "Stop the nonsense! 12 o'clock direction! Radar detects a large number of creatures approaching!"

The few looked over.

At the top of the sand dune, dense swarms of Crystal-armored Scorpions crossed the ridge, surging like a dark red tide. The number was at least several hundred thousand.

The gun barrel in the Human Demigod's hand had turned red from firing, and he sighed in despair: "It's hopeless. Prepare to cut off the consciousness link and abandon these believers."

The three looked at each other, their faces bitter. The effort required to cultivate a batch of high-level believers was unimaginable; to have them all wiped out like this would be painful for anyone.

Meanwhile, dozens of meters deep underground.

Gu Han wore a gas mask, riding on the back of a captive Earth Rampager.

In front, dozens of Ant-men were driving the three immobile Sand Swallowers.

In a place like the Wild Sand Realm, although the Earth Rampager can also burrow, its speed and efficiency are far inferior to the Sand Swallowers.

Moreover, when the Sand Swallower travels underground, its body surface secretes a large amount of mucus. After this mucus comes into contact with air, it quickly hardens, which can fix the surrounding sand in place, forming a stable underground passage.

Gu Han let the Sand Swallowers lead the way, so his Ant-men army could march underground along the passage, perfectly avoiding the high-temperature exposure and sandstorms on the surface.

Suddenly, the three leading Sand Swallowers stopped and refused to move forward no matter what.

"What's going on?" Gu Han patted the Earth Rampager's head.

The scout Ant-men reported: "It seems like something above has pinned the Sand Swallowers in place."

Gu Han raised an eyebrow: "Don't move yet, I'll go up and take a look."

On the surface.

The three Demigods of the tactical squad had already given up resistance, preparing to disconnect the link to preserve their consciousness.

Just at this moment, the surrounding sandy ground exploded.

Gu Han rode the Earth Rampager out from the sand, looking around.

In the distance, a large number of Crystal-armored Scorpions were closing in, and nearby, the three Sand Swallowers with their heads smashed were pinned in mid-air by something.

His gaze finally fell on those dumbfounded Demigods.

"Yo, there are people here? No wonder the Sand Swallowers stopped moving." Gu Han was a bit surprised.

He had thought he wouldn't encounter anyone in the Cataclysm Realm. No wonder he hadn't encountered any monsters after clearing a group of Crystal-armored Scorpions along the way; it turned out they were attracted by these people.

The Human Demigod swallowed, staring fixedly at Gu Han: "How are you not even a Demigod? You entered the Cataclysm Realm directly with your original consciousness?"

The Dwarf Demigod's eyes almost popped out: "This kid is so brave?"

The Female Elf Demigod exclaimed: "Are you crazy! Entering here with your original consciousness, if you die, you're really dead!"

Gu Han ignored them and turned to look at the three pinned Sand Swallowers.

He turned to the group of Demigods, "Brothers, withdraw your skill first. I was saving these three big guys for digging holes. You killed them for me, so you have to compensate me, right!"

The three were completely dumbfounded.

It was one thing that this kid was riding an Earth Rampager, but he actually used giant Sand Swallowers as digging machines?

The Human Demigod immediately apologized and introduced himself: "We are the Sixth Cleanup Squad of the Jiangcheng City Military Defense Department. Sorry, they suddenly burst out, and we thought it was an attack."

The Female Elf Demigod also hurriedly said: "Brother, don't quibble about this right now. We're about to be surrounded by Crystal-armored Scorpions. You'd better run quickly; we'll buy you some time to leave."

Gu Han raised an eyebrow. They were actually military personnel. He originally wanted to make them compensate with transcendent crystals. Seeing that the three had indeed turned around to continue clearing monsters, he felt embarrassed to bring it up right now.

"Stop! Leave these monsters to me." He raised a hand, and large numbers of Hidden-Armor Ant-men flew out from the sides of the Earth Rampager's feet.

The Ant-men underground also pushed the three giant Sand Swallowers out of the passage, popping out from the ground one by one.

The Dwarf Demigod timely raised his hand to order a ceasefire; he recognized this as the recently popular Ant-man Race.

Gu Han reached out and clenched his fist; ten thousand thunder snakes danced wildly, exploding amidst the swarm of Crystal-armored Scorpions, causing hundreds of thousands of them to fall to the ground and convulse instantly!

Large batches of Black-Armored Ant-men, accompanied by Ant-fist Shrimp-men, flew close to the ground. The explosive sounds were like beans falling into a bamboo tube, crackling non-stop. The numb Crystal-armored Scorpions were each given a fatal flick to the head, their skulls shattering, and they died on the spot.

"Thunder magic!"

"Ant-men!"

"Below Demigod!"

The three shouted in surprise in unison: "Damn! You're Old Granny!"

They never expected that a random Lord popping up in the Cataclysm Realm would be the recent dark horse champion [Riding Grandma Across the Road].

The Human Demigod gasped, looking at the corpses of Crystal-armored Scorpions all over the ground: "This monster's defense is so perverted, yet he takes them out with one punch each!"

The Female Elf Demigod screamed with excitement and immediately started circling the Earth Rampager: "Haha! I've seen my idol! Is this Earth Rampager named Old Granny?"

The Dwarf Demigod wasn't as fanatical; after all, he had lost quite a bit of money betting on the match.

He did, however, carefully observe the Ant-men who were stripping the armor off the scorpions; all 500,000 Ant-men were level-one transcendent, and he was shocked in his heart.

Gu Han had brought out 80 million Ant-men this time. If this Dwarf Demigod knew that the underground was already packed with Ant-men, he would have had a heart attack.

Gu Han didn't deny his identity either; after all, once the Ant-men made their move, he had nothing to hide, but fortunately, he was wearing a gas mask.

Although clearing the Crystal-armored Scorpions was just a casual act, Gu Han was the type of person who would squeeze a drop of urine out of a toad if he caught one, even if the other party were fans.

These few people didn't have many believers, and there were many wounded in the team. It didn't take a guess to know they were preparing to abandon their believers.

"Three of you, good work. Do you have any transcendent crystals on you? Consider it compensation for me saving your believers."
