76: Chapter 76: Did he use a X-ray vision cheat?!

The most pressing matter right now was to finish the elimination rounds of the Abyss Arena. Having already secured four consecutive wins, he aimed to finish the ten-win streak today to secure a spot for advancement, allowing him to rest and recover over the next few days and free up energy to prepare for the defense tournament.

He had been too excited to sleep all night, but fortunately it was the weekend, so Gu Han seized the chance to catch up on sleep and restore his energy.

It wasn't until the afternoon that he opened the Abyss Arena software, uploaded his Divine Kingdom coordinates, and clicked match.

A system notification sound rang out.

"Match successful, fifth round: [Riding Grandma Across the Road] VS [I'm Arrogant, What Can You Do About It]."

The terrain was an open Gobi desert, covered in gravel.

Light flickered on the opposing side as over ten thousand sturdy Orcs descended with a roar. They were all Level 3 Transcendental Believers. These Orcs had knotted muscles and carried heavy, double-edged giant axes, with no other troop configurations.

Gu Han immediately summoned his army of one hundred thousand Ant-men; the dark, swarming tide of insects instantly covered half the battlefield.

[I'm Arrogant, What Can You Do About It]: "Holy crap! It's already the third day, how do you still have so many people?"

Gu Han couldn't be bothered to talk nonsense and immediately issued a divine oracle.

The Shield-Armored Ant-Men in the front row quickly gathered, forming groups of several hundred. They connected head to tail, interlocking their limbs and armor to instantly roll into massive black spheres of shield armor on the ground.

Dozens of these shield-armor spheres used the slope of the terrain to charge wildly toward the Orc camp, carving deep trenches into the ground as they rolled.

The Orc leader raised a giant axe and roared an order to intercept. The over ten thousand Orcs had blood-red eyes; it didn't look like they had activated a Transcendental Believer trait, but rather some kind of physical cultivation technique. They swung their giant axes, preparing to take the impact head-on.

Just as the shield-armor spheres crashed into the enemy formation, Gu Han snapped his fingers.

"Disperse."

The dozens of high-speed rolling shield-armor spheres disintegrated with a boom.

The War-Marked Ant-Fist Shrimp-Men hidden at the very center of the shield-armor spheres used the powerful centrifugal force to launch themselves directly outward.

Dark golden war markings lit up in mid-air as supersonic heavy punches were unleashed, each one aiming directly for an Orc leader.

That Orc leader didn't even have time to scream before its chest was punched through. A massive cloud of blood mist exploded from its back, and chunks of internal organs mixed with bone fragments sprayed the faces of its companions behind it.

This "spherical charge" tactic was conceived during a live combat session with Teacher Qin Lin. It perfectly utilized the defense of the Shield-Armored Ant-Men and the explosive power of the Ant-Fist Shrimp-Man.

A large swath of the front-line Orcs fell instantly, and their formation collapsed completely. The War-Marked Ant-Fist Shrimp-Men charged into the enemy ranks, each punch creating an explosion of blood mist.

In less than half a minute, [I'm Arrogant, What Can You Do About It] initiated a surrender request.

There was no need to waste time in a guaranteed win, so Gu Han clicked agree.

An easy five-win streak. After uploading his coordinates, Gu Han continued to match.

In the sixth round, the opponent saw the scale of his one hundred thousand-strong army and immediately forfeited the match.

In the seventh round, the opponent had thirty thousand troops. Seeing the sky-covering formation on Gu Han's side, they bit the bullet to try, but after suffering fifty percent casualties, they decisively initiated a surrender.

"The efficiency is alright." Gu Han stretched his neck and entered the eighth match.

Opponent ID: [Guns N' Roses].

This time, the arena was a city ruin, filled with dilapidated reinforced concrete buildings.

Just as Gu Han summoned his army of Ant-men, the opponent, showing zero martial virtue, unleashed a dense spray of gunfire from an abandoned building.

The sound of heavy machine gun fire was deafening as a hail of bullets poured down; several Black-Armored Ant-men were riddled with holes before they could even take flight.

The Shield-Armored Ant-Men didn't even need Gu Han's command; they immediately raised their shields and moved forward.

Sparks flew as bullets struck the shield armor, creating a clanging symphony; the opponent's heavy machine guns couldn't penetrate the shield armor at all.

"A firearm-based Divine Lord?" Gu Han raised an eyebrow. The opponent's Transcendental Believers were actually using modern firearms.

Bang!

A deafening boom came from high above as a large-caliber armor-piercing round tore through the air and pierced straight through the torso of a Shield-Armored Ant-Man.

They actually had heavy sniper rifles.

[Guns N' Roses]: "No matter how many bugs you have, they're just sitting ducks in front of modern heavy firepower. Stop struggling; surrender obediently and you might lose fewer believers."

This person's talent skill must be something functional like concealment; otherwise, it would be impossible not to see a single enemy at the start of the match.

Gu Han turned a deaf ear and quickly issued orders. The Hidden-Armor Ant-Man quickly spread out across the battlefield to search for the enemy's trail.

A dense buzzing sound came from the air as thirty thousand Black-Armored Ant-men quickly took flight to harass the snipers and draw the opponent's fire.

With the coordination of the Hidden-Armor Ant-Man and Black-Armored Ant-men, the snipers' positions were quickly identified. On the top floor of an abandoned building, a sniper had just pulled the bolt to eject a hot shell casing and was preparing to change positions when the space overhead suddenly darkened.

Several Black-Armored Ant-men landed precisely in the sniper position. They ignored the tactical knives the enemies pulled out, swung their sharp forelimbs violently, snatched the heavy sniper rifles away, and snapped the barrels in half.

The opponent was indeed of the Sapiens race, but it seemed their Transcendental Believers were not very high-level, generally only Level 2 or Level 3.

Dozens of sniper points at high vantage points were quickly wiped out—and that was a literal "wiping out."

Especially the Level 3 believers, who were swarmed and beaten to a cripple before being captured alive by the Black-Armored Ant-men and brought back to the Divine Kingdom.

Having lost their heavy sniper firepower, the Ant-Fist Shrimp-Man on the ground advanced rapidly under the cover of the Shield-Armored Ant-Men.

Just when Gu Han thought he could win easily, the opponent's believers actually had high-explosive grenades and smoke grenades.

Several waves of Ant-men were heavily damaged by the grenades, while the opponent used the spreading smoke to quickly shift positions.

After successfully capturing several Level 3 Sapiens alive, Gu Han made a prompt decision and ordered the Ant-men army to stop charging, to prevent the opponent from having any other weapons of mass destruction.

Before long, the opponent initiated a surrender.

From the perspective of [Guns N' Roses], she truly felt she had run into a cheater. Her believers were all equipped with thermal imaging cameras, and her A-rank skill [I Am Not Here] allowed her believers to conceal their figures, making them undetectable to enemies more than a meter away.

Yet her believers hadn't even seen any enemies approaching before their sniper positions were exposed.

And after she ordered them to use smoke screens to change positions, her believers died one after another in bizarre ways.

"Damn it! Must be using a wallhack!"

This made her extremely fearful, so she immediately initiated a surrender.

The reason Gu Han had entangled with her for so long was just to capture her Level 3 Sapiens believers alive.

And the Hidden-Armor Ant-Man had carried venom purified from the Cyst Demon Flower this time, which even Level 2 believers couldn't withstand.

Gu Han clicked agree, winning the eighth match.

With only two more matches needed to reach ten wins and advance, Gu Han re-uploaded his coordinates and clicked to continue matching.

The matching interface spun for a full minute before finally stopping.

Ninth round, opponent ID: [Stepping on the Waves].

The moment he entered the battlefield, Gu Han realized something was unusual.

All he could see was an endless expanse of seawater, with only a few scattered reefs protruding from the water.

The opponent had actually used an extremely expensive Ocean Terrain Card to completely transform the original battlefield into an oceanic environment.

Waves churned. In the opposing camp, nearly ten thousand Merfolk—with human upper bodies and fish lower bodies—stood atop the waves. They held tridents, and water surges swirled around them.

Once the Shield-Armored Ant-Men fell into the water, their heavy shells would drag them straight to the seabed, eventually drowning them. Therefore, the Black-Armored Ant-men immediately took the Shield-Armored Ant-Men into the air.

Seeing the Ant-Fist Shrimp-Man sink to the bottom of the water, the opponent immediately giggled; this was a female Divine Lord.

[Stepping on the Waves]: "Old Granny! You've met your nemesis, haven't you? Your bugs can't even swim. Consider yourself unlucky today; you'd better surrender early."
