170: Chapter 170 Arrest of Jang Geun-suk

Before Zhang Genshuo could react, his neck was seized by a hand like a steel vise, and he was dragged into a nearby abandoned factory building.

"Ah—!"

His cry of alarm was cut off halfway as his mouth was covered.

The paper bag fell to the ground, scattering several stacks of cash.

"Don't move, don't make a sound," a low voice whispered in his ear.

Zhang Genshuo struggled desperately, but the person's strength was staggering; he couldn't move at all.

He was dragged deep into the factory and thrown onto the ground.

The fall left him dazed and disoriented.

As he struggled to lift his head, he saw a man standing before him.

The man wore a black mask, revealing only his eyes.

Those eyes were calm—calm like a pool of stagnant water, devoid of any emotion.

Zhang Genshuo's heart sank instantly.

"You... who are you?" his voice trembled. "You want money? The money is right there, take it all! There's another hundred thousand! It's all yours!"

The masked man didn't speak. He simply bent over, picked up the scattered bills, and placed them stack by stack back into the paper bag.

Then, he set the paper bag aside.

"You don't want money?" Zhang Genshuo panicked even more. "Then... what do you want? My phone? My watch? You can have them all!"

The masked man still didn't say a word, only slowly approaching him.

Zhang Genshuo shrank back until his back hit the wall.

"Big brother... Big brother, I beg you, let me go. I have money, I have more money at home. If you let me go, I'll get it for you..."

"You have money?" The masked man finally spoke, his voice low and raspy. "Your money was all obtained through scams, wasn't it?"

Zhang Genshuo's pupils constricted.

"You... what are you saying? I don't understand..."

"Don't you have many girlfriends?"

Zhang Genshuo's face turned deathly pale in an instant.

"You... who are you?"

"I'm nobody," the masked man crouched down and looked at him. "I just can't stand the sight of you."

Zhang Genshuo's mind raced, searching for a way to escape.

"Big brother, listen to me. That money, I can pay it back! I'll pay it back right now! I have money in my card, I'll transfer it to you!"

"How much is in your card?" the masked man asked.

"There's... over a hundred thousand..."

"Liar," the masked man said calmly. "There's no money in your card at all. You've squandered all of it."

Zhang Genshuo was completely stunned.

How did this person know?

"You... who exactly are you?" His voice was shaking.

The masked man didn't answer, instead taking a roll of duct tape from his waist.

"No... don't!" Zhang Genshuo struggled desperately, trying to stand up and run.

But the masked man was much faster than him.

A punch landed in his stomach, and Zhang Genshuo curled up like a shrimp. His stomach churned; he wanted to vomit but couldn't.

Before he could recover, his hands were pinned behind his back, and tape was wrapped around them again and again.

Then came his ankles, then his mouth.

In less than a minute, Zhang Genshuo was tied up securely, like a pig waiting for slaughter.

He lay on the ground, looking at the masked man in terror.

"Mmph, mmph..." He tried desperately to speak, but could only manage muffled whimpers.

The masked man stood up, took out his phone, and sent a message.

Then, he picked Zhang Genshuo up like a chick and hoisted him onto his shoulder.

"Mmph! Mmph!!" Zhang Genshuo struggled frantically.

But that hand was like a steel vise, unmoving.

The masked man carried him out of the abandoned factory and arrived at a black sedan.

He opened the trunk and threw Zhang Genshuo inside.

"Mmph!" Zhang Genshuo was still struggling.

The masked man glanced at him. There was no anger in his gaze, no disgust—only a chilling calmness.

"Sleep," he said.

Then the trunk door closed, and the world plunged into darkness.

The car started.

Curled up in the trunk, Zhang Genshuo rolled back and forth with the jolts of the car.

He tried desperately to break free from the tape, but it was wrapped too tightly; he couldn't break it at all.

Darkness, bumps, an unknown fate...

Fear flooded over him like a tide.

After an unknown amount of time, the car stopped.

The trunk door opened, and the masked man's face appeared before him.

"Mmph!" He blinked frantically, trying to communicate something.

The masked man pulled him out and ripped the tape off his mouth.

"Big brother! Big brother, have mercy!" As soon as Zhang Genshuo could speak, he began to plead immediately. "I beg you, let me go! I don't want the money anymore, that hundred thousand is all yours! And everything I scammed before, I can pay it all back! I'll do anything you want!"

The masked man looked at him and said nothing.

"I really know I was wrong!" Zhang Genshuo cried, tears and snot streaming down his face. "I shouldn't have scammed them, I'm not human! Please give me a chance, I'll change, I'll definitely change!"

"Change?" The masked man finally spoke, a hint of amusement in his voice. "How many people have you scammed?"

Zhang Genshuo faltered: "I... I didn't scam that many..."

"Three official girlfriends and over a dozen ambiguous flings—you call that not many?"

Zhang Genshuo was speechless.

"Besides, you've squandered all that money," the masked man continued.

"High-end restaurants, designer clothes, renting luxury cars to put up a front—and now you want to change?"

"I want to change! I really do!" Zhang Genshuo nodded frantically. "I can work to pay the money back, I can..."

"Work?" The masked man laughed, a laugh without warmth. "How much can you earn a month? Five thousand? Eight thousand? Who's going to pay the monthly interest those women have to cover?"

Zhang Genshuo had no words.

"So," the masked man picked him up, "you'll have to pay it back another way."

"Wh... what way?" Zhang Genshuo's voice trembled.

The masked man didn't answer, he just stuffed him into the back seat and secured him with the seatbelt.

Then he got into the driver's seat and started the car.

"Big brother... where are you taking me?" Zhang Genshuo asked in terror.

"To a good place," the masked man said. "Someone is waiting for you."

The car drove into the night.

Outside the window, the city lights grew more and more distant.

Zhang Genshuo looked out the window, a bad premonition rising in his heart.

"Big brother... what are you really going to do?" His voice was shaking.

The masked man did not answer.

He just focused on driving, heading toward the northern suburbs.

...

North City Industrial Zone

7:50 PM.

The black sedan stopped at the entrance of Warehouse No. 13.

Zhang Genshuo was dragged out of the car. Seeing the dilapidated warehouse before him, an even greater fear surged in his heart.

"This... where is this? Big brother, why did you bring me here?"

The masked man didn't answer, simply dragging him toward the warehouse door.

He knocked three times, paused, and knocked twice more.

The door opened a crack, revealing an eye.

"You're here?" It was the Bulky Man's voice.

"Yeah."

The door opened, and the masked man dragged Zhang Genshuo inside.

Inside the warehouse, Old K was sitting on a sofa drinking tea. He looked up as they entered.

"This is the goods?"

"Yeah." The masked man took off his mask.

It was indeed Cao Kun.

"You... what are you going to do?" Zhang Genshuo asked in terror.

Old K stood up, walked over, and circled around him once.

"Good physique," he said. "The age is right too."

He looked at Cao Kun: "Has he been tested?"

"No," Cao Kun said. "I'll leave that to you."

Old K nodded and said to the Bulky Man, "Take him inside and let the doctor have a look."

"Yes."

The Bulky Man dragged Zhang Genshuo toward the deeper part of the warehouse.

Zhang Genshuo struggled desperately: "What are you doing?! Let me go! This is illegal! I'm going to call the police! Ah—!"

His voice grew more distant and finally disappeared behind a door deep inside the warehouse.

Old K sat back down on the sofa and poured a cup of tea for Cao Kun.

"Sit, wait a moment."

Cao Kun sat down and picked up the teacup.

The warehouse was very quiet, with only occasional faint sounds coming from the depths.

After an unknown amount of time, the Bulky Man came out and nodded to Old K: "Qualified. Two kidneys, a pair of corneas—all good."

Old K smiled and looked at Cao Kun: "Deal."

He took out a black plastic bag and placed it on the coffee table: "Four hundred and twenty thousand. Count it."

Cao Kun opened the bag, which was filled with stacks of cash. He flipped through them casually and closed the bag.

"No need to count."

Old K smiled: "Straightforward."

He paused and looked at Cao Kun: "This person, are you sure you're leaving him to me to handle?"

"Sure."

"You won't come looking for trouble with me later?"

"No."

Old K nodded and reached out his hand: "Pleasure doing business with you."

Cao Kun shook his hand: "Pleasure doing business with you."
