93: Chapter 93 Sweetheart

The four of them chose a window seat and sat down.

Just after ordering, Zhang Fangfang nudged Liu Chaopeng next to her with her elbow and lowered her voice, saying, "It's really a small world. Why is Zhang Wei here?"

Everyone's eyes immediately turned toward the entrance.

They saw Zhang Wei walking in with a woman on his arm.

The woman looked to be around thirty years old, with fair skin and long, burgundy wavy hair cascading down to her waist.

She wore a tight black dress with a hemline that only reached mid-thigh, outlining her full bust and slender waist.

The neckline of the dress was cut just right—not overly revealing, yet offering a glimpse of her cleavage.

Her long, straight legs were clad in sheer black stockings, and she wore ten-centimeter stiletto heels, swaying gracefully as she walked.

"That's Zhi Tianzhen, Zhang Wei's current wife," Zhang Fangfang whispered mysteriously as she leaned in toward Cao Kun and Ji Guangli.

"She's not his first wife! After Zhang Wei made his fortune a few years ago, he dumped his original wife and married this one, who's ten years younger than him. I heard she used to be a manager at some club; she's quite the socialite."

Ji Guangli frowned, clearly uninterested in Zhang Wei's affairs. Cao Kun, however, took a few more looks with interest. This Zhi Tianzhen indeed had some charm, especially her figure, which was perfectly curvaceous.

Zhang Wei also spotted them, and his face instantly darkened. With a cold snort, he led Zhi Tianzhen to the seat furthest away from them. Zhi Tianzhen seemed to sense her husband's bad mood and followed his gaze to glance at Cao Kun's side, her eyes filled with a hint of curiosity.

Just as Zhang Fangfang continued to gossip about the mess between Zhang Wei and his ex-wife, the system's voice suddenly rang in Cao Kun's mind.

[Ding! New mission released: Zhang Wei is unable to satisfy his wife, Zhi Tianzhen, due to insufficient sexual performance, leading to her unhappiness. Please help Zhang Wei by satisfying Zhi Tianzhen and making her genuinely happy.]

[Mission Reward: 200,000 huaxia coins.]

Cao Kun almost laughed out loud and quickly picked up his glass to take a sip of water to hide it.

This guy Zhang Wei really overestimated himself. He couldn't even handle his own wife, yet he dared to have designs on Ji Guangli.

He muttered to himself, "Since the system put it that way, I'll reluctantly help you out, buddy."

As he was thinking, the system's voice rang out again.

[Since this is the tenth system mission the host will complete, an additional reward will be granted upon completion: 10,000,000 huaxia coins.]

Cao Kun's eyes lit up.

He had to take this mission!

"What's wrong?" Ji Guangli noticed Cao Kun's odd behavior and asked with concern.

"Nothing, I just got a bit excited thinking about us starting our business soon."

Cao Kun said with a smile, though his gaze unconsciously drifted back toward Zhi Tianzhen in the distance.

The woman was elegantly cutting her steak, occasionally looking up to say a few words to Zhang Wei, but Zhang Wei was clearly distracted, only nodding perfunctorily.

A flash of imperceptible disappointment crossed Zhi Tianzhen's eyes.

After finishing their meal and parting ways, Cao Kun and Ji Guangli returned to their home in Fenghuali.

As soon as they entered, Ji Guangli sighed and sat on the sofa, rubbing her temples.

"Cao Kun, have you really thought this through? Registering the company, the venue, the staff—those parts are easy."

"But what about the business? A new company has no reputation or case studies. Why should clients trust us?"

Ji Guangli had calmed down by now.

Recalling everything that happened today, she felt she had been a bit too impulsive.

Cao Kun sat down beside her and put his arm around her shoulder. "Don't worry, I've already thought it through."

"You have? What's the plan?" Ji Guangli turned her head, her eyes filled with expectation.

"First, we have the connection with Long Huili."

Cao Kun said confidently, "Xuefen Food is a large company with significant advertising needs."

"As long as I go to her, she'll definitely give us some business. While it might not sustain the entire company, it's enough to get us started."

Ji Guangli looked at him with a complex expression. "Are you sure you can handle her?"

"Don't worry, I definitely can." Cao Kun didn't bat an eye.

Regarding that obsessed woman Long Huili, Cao Kun was quite certain.

There was nothing that a single session of 'deep communication' couldn't solve.

If there was, then two sessions would do it.

"With the orders from Xuefen Company to back us up, I don't believe that with your ability, you won't be able to pull in other business."

Actually, Cao Kun said this on purpose.

He had no intention of relying on this company to make money.

It was just a cover.

Being praised by Cao Kun like this, Ji Guangli gained some confidence.

"In terms of pulling in business, I do have some confidence. Plus, I have many old clients at Xingchen who are on good terms with me. If I reach out to them, I expect they'd be willing to cooperate with us."

"It's not that they might cooperate with us, it's that we must make them cooperate with us!"

Cao Kun said forcefully.

Ji Guangli looked at Cao Kun in confusion.

"I want to strike at Zhang Wei," Cao Kun sneered. "We can poach his company's clients by offering extremely low prices."

"I've done the math. As long as they're Xingchen's clients, we'll keep our prices near the cost line. We won't make a profit, but we won't lose money either. That way, we can definitely snatch the clients away."

"And what if Zhang Wei lowers his prices too?"

"Haha, I'd love for him to lower his prices!"

Ji Guangli was even more puzzled.

Cao Kun explained.

"We're a newly opened company right now, and the early stage is for building a reputation. Those with nothing to lose don't fear those with everything to lose. Whether I make money or not doesn't matter to me."

"But Zhang Wei is different. He has to make money to keep his company running. We can afford not to make a profit, but he can't. With his daily overhead being so high, he'll go bankrupt before long if he doesn't make money."

Ji Guangli's eyes gradually brightened. "You mean, use a price war to drag him down?"

Cao Kun nodded.

"Exactly. Once we've poached all his core clients, we can slowly raise the prices. Of course, the ideal scenario is that his company goes bankrupt and we take over his talent and resources."

Actually, at the very beginning, Cao Kun hadn't planned on having a conflict with Zhang Wei.

But he didn't expect that grandson Zhang Wei to actually dare to bully Ji Guangli.

Most importantly, completing one system mission would give him a ten-million reward. He didn't believe that with the system's help, he couldn't take down Zhang Wei.

"This plan is feasible!" Ji Guangli grew excited, but then she frowned. "However, will a low-price strategy break industry rules and cause resentment from other companies?"

"We'll only target Zhang Wei's company; we'll give normal quotes to other companies."

Cao Kun had already considered this. "And in the early stages, we'll focus on serving Xuefen Food, with other business being secondary. Once we've built a few successful cases and our reputation grows, we'll expand the market normally."

Only then did Ji Guangli feel completely at ease. She leaned against Cao Kun's shoulder. "You've thought of everything so thoroughly, what was I worrying about?"

"You're the General Manager; it's only right for you to consider these things." Cao Kun kissed her forehead. "But now, we have something more important to do."

"What?" Ji Guangli looked up.

Cao Kun grinned and picked her up, walking toward the bedroom. "To celebrate our upcoming new career, of course!"

Ji Guangli blushed and gave him a playful punch, but she didn't object.

Late at night, Cao Kun lay in bed listening to Ji Guangli's steady breathing beside him, while his mind was calculating how to get close to Zhi Tianzhen.

Approaching her directly definitely wouldn't work; it would be too obvious.

He had to create a chance encounter.
