68: Great! It's like finding a needle in a haystack!

The moon was high in the sky when Dawang finally returned, still wanting more. Sensing Ai Yue's presence nearby, he let out a huge yawn and flopped down at the door, falling into a deep sleep regardless of anything else.

In the early morning, Ai Yue and Dawang set off early amidst the light of dawn.

Eight or nine days passed leisurely. Ai Yue searched every mountain range they passed, crossing nearly ten mountains in total. She didn't find anything special, but she let Dawang have his fill of fun frolicking in the mountain forests.

Ai Yue wasn't disappointed; being able to have even one harvest was lucky enough. With a foundation and a way out in mind, she felt even more composed in her search for a safe house.

"Dawang, can't you eat a bit less? Why have you been eating more and more these past few days? Sister is almost unable to afford to feed you." Ai Yue looked speechlessly at Dawang, who had just finished eating two pig hind legs. Right now, he was acting shamelessly, wanting even more meat.

Dawang kept low-growling. Seeing Ai Yue remain unmoved, he used his large head to nudge her. He was getting stronger and stronger; one nudge from him sent Ai Yue stumbling.

Ai Yue scolded him helplessly, "Alright, alright, I didn't say I wouldn't give you any. Stop! Stand there and don't move."

Dawang stopped as told.

Just as Ai Yue was about to get him a piece of beef, an untimely voice suddenly rang out. Ai Yue and Dawang immediately went on alert.

"Gulp, that's a huge hunk of meat. And the one next to it looks quite tender too." Many people dressed in rags like primitives suddenly emerged around Ai Yue. Their eyes gleamed as they grinned, revealing large yellow teeth, and they chuckled at Ai Yue and Dawang. The person closest to Ai Yue looked at them fervently, took a deep breath, and said, "Mmm... I think I can smell the fragrance of meat, hehe."

Dawang was furious that his meal had been interrupted by this sudden group of people. He let out a long, angry roar, his claws gripping the ground firmly. Low growls of impending attack vibrated in his throat, waiting for the next moment to pounce and rip out the throats of those opposite him.

When Ai Yue saw the leader of the group clearly, her expression changed drastically. Her whole body couldn't stop trembling, yet inside, she was laughing maniacally. This was great!

It was truly a case of finding something without effort after searching far and wide.

Ai Yue's gaze swept across everyone's faces one by one. Good, most of them were here. She hadn't expected this group to be living much more miserably than in her previous life. This was truly wonderful.

Ai Yue's inner feelings were beyond words. She realized with excitement that starting today, her nightmare was going to end!

These people were the very demons who had eaten Ai Yue in her previous life, the nightmare that had haunted her ever since her rebirth.

She hadn't expected to encounter them here. Heaven was truly looking out for her, allowing her to kill her enemies so soon.

The bloodthirsty thoughts in her heart grew stronger and stronger. She wanted to tear these people into pieces and scatter their ashes.

It takes a long time to describe, but it all happened in an instant. Ai Yue's rage reached its peak. Before the other side could even react, she charged out at a speed she had never achieved before.

Seeing Ai Yue spring out like a sharp arrow, Dawang immediately followed and pounced.

With a cruel, bloodthirsty smile on her lips, Ai Yue casually killed an insignificant lackey. She wanted to clear out the unimportant ones and leave those demons who had eaten her, so they could taste what despair felt like.

Anyone who could survive until now was no pushover. Had they encountered anyone else today, they wouldn't have been so miserable. Unfortunately, they met Ai Yue, who was far more powerful than in her previous life. All that awaited them was to become lambs for the slaughter.

At this point, the leader saw things were going south and quickly called out for everyone to retreat!

"Dawang, stop them! Whoever runs, bite their neck off."

Dawang, who was busy biting someone's leg, heard Ai Yue mention biting necks. He immediately let go of the "prey" in his paws and quickly blocked those trying to escape.

These people thought Dawang was just an ordinary tiger. With their current skills, he was nothing to fear.

Little did they know, Dawang was no ordinary tiger. He was a tiger trained by Ai Yue since he was young with killing techniques.

Those who scattered to run couldn't outrun Dawang at all. After he bit through the necks of two people, the group finally realized he was also a ruthless character.

Seeing they couldn't escape, these people could only huddle together, planning to deal with the tiger first before fleeing.

Dawang couldn't do much to them for the moment, but his goal wasn't to kill them; it was to stall them and wait for Ai Yue.

The two sides were at a temporary stalemate. Dawang wasn't in a hurry, but as time passed, the trapped people couldn't help but grow anxious. After all, that bringer of death was still nearby and could come over at any time.

Ai Yue quickly finished off the remaining people. Her face was flecked with spots of blood, and her black clothes were soaked with the blood that had splattered while she killed. Holding her military knife, which was constantly dripping blood, she walked over step by step like a god of death from hell.

Seeing Ai Yue approach like a malevolent deity, the trapped group retreated one after another. Dawang growled but didn't pounce immediately.

"This... great hero! We didn't mean to offend you. Considering we were just desperately hungry, please let us go."

"Let you go so you can continue eating people?" Ai Yue said coldly, without a hint of emotion.

"We won't, we won't. We wouldn't dare anymore. We swear, from now on we'll only eat grass, really!" A man with a hunched back bowed and scraped as he gave his guarantee.

Did they think she was easy to fool? Who would believe that?

The leader, the man Ai Yue hated the most, hadn't said a word. Instead, he was quietly observing their surroundings, a scene that Ai Yue took in completely.

She smiled nonchalantly. "Dawang, watch them. Whoever runs, bite their legs off."

"Roar."

Ai Yue charged into the crowd. Like startled birds, the group tried to scatter, but with Dawang guarding the perimeter, no one succeeded in escaping.

Ai Yue ended the lives of those she didn't recognize with her knife. As for the remaining "old friends," she tied them up one by one.

She wouldn't let them die so easily. Letting them die a quick death would be far too easy on them.

There were six people left, all of whom had sliced off her flesh while she was still alive. She still clearly remembered their psychopathic laughter as they carved off the thickest pieces of meat from her chest and put them in their mouths with looks of enjoyment.

This scene felt as if it had happened only yesterday. Even every spot on their faces, the shreds of meat stuck between their teeth as they grinned, and their foul breath were clearly imprinted in her mind, becoming an indelible nightmare.

Now, finally, they had fallen into her hands. The scene she had hoped for countless days and nights was actually happening before her eyes. She couldn't help but throw her head back and laugh. Once she had laughed enough, it was time to let them feel the sensation of a blade on their flesh before they died, and let them taste the despairing pain of those they had eaten piece by piece.
