456: Chapter 456 Encouraging Jasmine

Moli was highly agitated.

She tossed and turned, rolling around on her bed several times.

She kicked the blanket into a messy heap, and her pillow was shoved to the side.

She stared blankly at the ceiling for a moment, then immersed her Divine Thought into her light computer.

She sent a few messages.

Before long, she closed her eyes, and her consciousness sank back into the Virtual World.

Moli's Small World was a massive mecha showroom.

The ceiling was high and vaulted, and the walls were embedded with countless transparent display cases, each showcasing a mecha of a different design.

From ancient first-generation iron-clad models to the latest streamlined light-wing mecha, they came in all sizes, presenting a dazzling display.

Some were thousands of meters tall, while others were only human-sized.

Moli appeared in the center of the showroom, wearing a loose white hoodie with the hood half-pulled over her head, revealing a few stray strands of hair.

She sat cross-legged on the palm of the giant mecha in the center of the showroom, resting her hands on her knees and her chin slightly raised, waiting for her guests to arrive.

Soon, two subtle ripples appeared on the spatial barrier outside the showroom.

With a slight thought from Moli, the barrier opened silently.

Two figures walked in, one after the other.

Today, King Feiyun had changed into a dark green dress, her long hair loosely tied up. She looked a bit less majestic than usual and a bit more casual.

Ziyi wore a light gray robe, her attire as neat and tidy as ever, though the usual tension of work was missing from between her brows.

Seeing them enter, Moli jumped down from the mecha's palm and landed steadily.

Looking at the two before her, Moli spoke gloomily:

"I've confirmed it."

King Feiyun's heart stirred slightly.

"Confirmed what?"

"Confirmed that I've been affected too."

Moli's voice carried a resigned frankness, as if she had given up trying to fight it.

"I have that kind of feeling for Lin Yun now, too."

Hearing this, the corners of Ziyi's mouth curved upward. "Oh?"

"What do you mean, 'oh'!"

"Nothing."

Ziyi said unhurriedly.

"I just remembered someone solemnly vowing earlier, 'I won't be affected,' and 'My Dao Heart is much more stable than yours.'"

Moli's cheeks puffed up. "That's because I didn't know back then!"

"And you know now?"

"Now I know."

"So, how does it feel?"

Moli held it in for two seconds before her shoulders finally slumped. "...It's incredibly annoying."

Ziyi finally couldn't help but laugh out loud.

Moli glared at her. "What are you laughing at!"

"Nothing." Ziyi tried hard to suppress the curl of her lips. "I just think it's funny that even you would have a day like this."

"You—!"

Furious, Moli lunged forward, her small hands clawing wildly at Ziyi.

Ziyi dodged to the side, causing Moli to miss. Moli spun around and gave chase, and the two began running in circles around the feet of the mecha.

"Don't run!"

"Then don't chase me!"

"Stand still and let me hit you once!"

"I'm not stupid!"

The two chased each other around the gray floor for several laps.

King Feiyun stood to the side, simply watching them fool around.

Having failed to catch Ziyi after chasing her for a while, Moli stopped, hands on her hips, and glared at her:

"You sure run fast!"

"I have to run fast."

Ziyi stood three paces away, completely composed.

"If you actually clawed me, what would happen to my image?"

Moli huffed at her, finally giving up the chase.

She walked over and sat down on the wreckage of a scrapped mecha nearby:

"Alright, enough fooling around. Let's talk business."

Her legs dangled and swung in the air, her tone carrying a hint of irritation and helplessness.

Ziyi and King Feiyun also walked over and sat down on the mecha wreckage nearby.

Moli recounted how Su Yingxue had invited her over earlier:

"She invited me to her place, saying she made some new pastries. I was playing video games at the time, so I declined."

Moli paused, looking down at her dangling, swinging legs:

"But thinking about it now, did she do it on purpose?"

Hearing this, Ziyi fell silent for a moment, then egged her on, "Go."

"Huh?" Moli looked up at her.

"I said, go."

Ziyi's tone carried a hint of deeper meaning.

"Since it's already confirmed, there's no point in hiding. You might as well go and see. Who knows, you might discover something."

Moli's eyes widened. "You want me to go? Aren't you just pushing me into a fiery pit?"

"Times change," Ziyi said calmly.

"Before, I thought you could still be saved. Now that you're beyond saving, you might as well let nature take its course."

"Why does that sound so incredibly punchable!"

"It's the truth."

"If anyone's going, you go! I'm definitely not going!"

Furious, Moli lunged at her again.

The two of them were in a tangle once more.

If Lu Shan were to see this, her jaw would surely drop.

In her memory, her Little Aunt Ziyi was always dignified, composed, and solemn.

She exuded the intimidating pressure of an elder in everything she did.

When had she ever seen her like this, laughing and playing like a young girl?

Seeing them fool around without limit, King Feiyun stepped forward.

She took a step forward and separated them.

Her shoulders held down by King Feiyun, Moli still tried to lunge forward.

King Feiyun pressed her back into her spot.

"Stop fooling around for a moment. What are your thoughts?"

Held down by her, Moli quieted down.

She lowered her head and thought for a long time, then looked up at the two of them:

"What about you two? Have you found the influencing factor and a solution?"

Both of them fell silent at the same time.

King Feiyun slowly shook her head. "No."

Ziyi also sighed. "We can't find anything at all. That's why we're hiding."

Moli blinked. "Hiding?"

"Lin Yun came to visit Her Highness King Feiyun today, and Her Highness had her butler make up an excuse about being in closed-door cultivation to send him away."

As Ziyi spoke, she glanced at King Feiyun.

King Feiyun's expression turned slightly unnatural for a moment, but she did not deny it.

Ziyi continued:

"Then Su Yingxue had Lu Shan send me a message, saying Lin Yun wanted to visit me. I replied with two words: 'No time.'"

Hearing this, Moli fell silent for a moment:

"So... both of you were hiding today?"

"Yes."

"Both hiding from Lin Yun?"

"Yes."

Seeing how bluntly she answered, Moli's eyes went dull:

"Just look at the three of us. One in closed-door cultivation, one with no time, and one playing video games."

"We're nearly forty thousand years old combined, yet we're hiding from a mere Tier Six kid like this. How embarrassing."

Hearing this, the corner of King Feiyun's mouth twitched imperceptibly, but she didn't join in.

Ziyi, however, spoke up, continuing to egg Moli on.

"Sister Moli, your Dao Heart is incredibly stable; you definitely won't be affected."

"Feeling like you like Lin Yun right now must just be an illusion. Why don't you just agree and go check it out?"

"He's just a mere Lin Yun. What is there to fear?"

"With Sister Moli's capabilities, hiding from him?"

Moli looked at Ziyi, speechless and thoroughly exasperated by her words.

She held it in for quite a while before finally squeezing out:

"If anyone is going, why don't you go! Aren't you hiding as well!"

Ziyi's expression remained unchanged:

"Isn't that because I'm not as capable as you, Sister Moli?"

Moli stamped her foot in anger:

"Ziyi! Did you come here today specifically to infuriate me!"

Seeing her all bristled up, Ziyi gave up her instigation:

"No. I came to talk to you about serious business."
