54: Chapter 54 Hot Scene

Song Yuan shook his head, "Dad, I don't know the director, I've never even been to this hospital before!"

As the father and son were talking, Gu Shiyu arrived.

"Dad, Song Yuan, I came to see Mom."

Song Yuan whispered, "Mom is asleep. Aren't you very busy with work today? Why did you come?"

"No matter how busy work is, it's not as important as family. I found a reliable caregiver, and from now on, Aunt Zhang will take care of Mom here!"

Gu Shiyu gave Aunt Zhang, who was at the door, a look, and Aunt Zhang smiled and entered, "Mr. Song, I am a professional caregiver. Please rest assured, I will definitely take good care of your mother."

Song Yuan nodded, "Thank you for your trouble."

He certainly trusted the person Gu Shiyu found.

Aunt Zhang didn't dare to reply. She was actually Gu Shiyu's family nanny, not a caregiver at all.

Before coming, Gu Shiyu instructed her to speak as little as possible, do more, and not to discuss anything about her identity as the General Manager of Gus.

Gu Shiyu called Song Yuan outside and asked, "How is Mom's condition now? Has the doctor been here?"

Song Yuan replied, "She's been diagnosed with uremia. The director brought the doctor over. The situation isn't good; she might need a kidney transplant. Kidney sources are scarce now, and matching is difficult, so this matter is quite troublesome."

Gu Shiyu comforted him, "Don't worry yet. Mom is lucky, maybe a match will be found tomorrow. I've paid for the caregiver, so let Mom recover in peace first."

Listening to these comforting words, Song Yuan's anxiety lessened considerably.

But there was one thing he had to tell his wife, "Shiyu, Mom needs a kidney transplant this time, which might cost a lot of money. I have some money saved that I originally planned to use to buy a house, but now it seems... buying a house will have to be put on hold."

Song Yuan felt that Gu Shiyu might be unhappy.

Gu Shiyu's face showed no emotional fluctuations, only a gentle tone as she said, "I respect your decision. Saving a life comes first."

She reached out and hugged him, patting his back lightly, "Mom is a blessed person; she will definitely be fine."

The young couple stayed there until ten o'clock at night. Song Heng was still worried when he went back, so he slept on the sofa outside the suite. The caregiver, Aunt Zhang, stayed inside guarding Tao Yulian.

As he came out of the ward, Song Yuan's phone rang. It was Lu Chi calling, "Song Yuan, you take care of Auntie these few days. The company's matters will be fine with the brothers supporting it. Just rest assured and wait for us to take the game DEMO to the Internet Conference for funding."

Song Yuan responded, "Then I'll trouble you all. I'll treat everyone to drinks another day."

Song Yuan was preoccupied and had little appetite. When they returned home, Gu Shiyu cooked him some porridge.

After eating a little, he showered and lay down.

Gu Shiyu settled him down like she was taking care of a child, and only after Song Yuan fell asleep did she return to the study.

Dozens of emails requiring her approval had accumulated in her work inbox, but she ignored those.

First, she emailed a professor she knew abroad, asking him to help find a kidney source globally, emphasizing that a kidney source must be found for Tao Yulian.

It was already past midnight when she finished her work. Upon returning to the bedroom, she stepped lightly, getting into bed with extreme gentleness, and lay in his arms.

The next day, Song Yuan opened his eyes to see the person in his arms sleeping soundly.

She lay on her side facing him, her head resting on his arm, her crimson lips slightly parted, and her warm breath tickling his arm.

She was wearing a camisole nightgown, and from this angle, the scenery beneath the nightgown was visible.

Those perfectly round, snow-white curves made him unable to resist looking a few more times.

Song Yuan's throat bobbed, recalling the chaos of the previous night.

When he kissed the peak, she held him tightly, breathing shallowly, even digging her nails into his back. She was incredibly beautiful at that moment.

Song Yuan stared, lost in thought, his mind filled with scorching images.

Gu Shiyu woke up under his burning gaze. She stretched and rolled onto her back in his arms.

"Song Yuan, did you sleep well yesterday?"

Song Yuan answered distractedly, "Very well, but now... not so good."

Gu Shiyu paused, "What's wrong?"

Song Yuan took her hand and placed it on his lower abdomen, then moved it further down. Gu Shiyu immediately understood, her cheeks turning slightly red.

Song Yuan found her shy expression absolutely adorable.

But he wanted to see her moved by him even more; that was the most pleasing sight for a man.

Song Yuan kissed her lips, his large hand exploring under her clothes, gently caressing.

"Shiyu, thank you."

Gu Shiyu's breathing quickened. Between kisses, she asked him, "Thank me for what?"

Song Yuan had too much to say, "Thank you for understanding me, supporting me, and also, comforting me."

Under his teasing, Gu Shiyu couldn't help but let out a soft moan. Her voice was tender as she said, "We're all family; it's what I should do."

Song Yuan kissed her for a long time, then pulled a tissue from the bedside table to wipe his hands, and handed her a small, square-packaged item, "Shiyu, you do it."

Gu Shiyu paused, took the item, tore it open, and helped him.

Song Yuan lifted her onto his lap. He wanted to see all her expressions when she was moved by him.

After some activity, Gu Shiyu lay on top of him, recovering for a good while before she reluctantly got off. To avoid another accidental spark, they showered separately this time.

Gu Shiyu had so much going on at her company. She drank a glass of milk and hurried downstairs, thankfully finding Ms. Xu and the driver waiting for her downstairs.

In the car, Ms. Xu handed her some urgent documents, "General Manager Gu, you absolutely cannot take any more leave today. If you do, those directors will cause trouble with Old Madam Gus, and then you'll be scolded again."

Gu Shiyu left her bold signature on the last page of the document, "I know."

The morning schedule was all meetings. Gu Shiyu finished two consecutive meetings before realizing that the little assistant who usually took meeting minutes and served tea had been replaced.

She had been so busy these past few days that she forgot. The last time she saw Lin Xueyao was at the wedding.

It was also on that day that she learned her company's little assistant, who couldn't even print documents properly and was often scolded to tears by her, was actually Song Yuan's ex-girlfriend.

Gu Shiyu asked Ms. Xu, "Did Lin Xueyao resign?"

"General Manager Gu, Lin Xueyao took a week off. She's sick and on an IV drip in the hospital."

"Understood."

At that moment, Lin Xueyao had just finished a set of IV drips at the hospital. This morning, Qiao Xi had rushed over briefly and then left for something else.

She went downstairs alone to get food. As she exited the elevator, Lin Xueyao's eyes brightened. In the crowd, that tall, distinguished figure slowly stirred her mood, which had been low for days.

It was Song Yuan. Song Yuan still couldn't let her go; he had come to the hospital to see her.

Lin Xueyao felt like a withered tree coming back to life, she was alive again.

She knew it. Song Yuan wasn't such a heartless person.

He only said ruthless things, but he was the easiest to soften.

People aren't machines. How could three years of intertwined love be taken back just like that?

They were destined to be together in this life.

Lin Xueyao looked at Song Yuan, following the flow of people out of the elevator.

Her eyes and heart were filled with him.

At this moment, there was grievance in her heart, but more joy, like a dream.

"Song Yuan, you came to see me?"
