79: Chapter 79 Married No Date
Song Yuan turned around and saw Xu Yuanyuan, and his whole being cracked.
It was truly embarrassing to be overheard by a colleague, and a female colleague at that.
"Gu Shiyuan!"
Song Yuan warned with an emphasized tone, and Gu Shiyuan turned and slipped away.
This morning, people from Jishi Capital and Mingyang Real Estate would come to sign the agreement, so Song Yuan postponed his current work.
At ten o'clock in the morning, the two groups arrived at Fengxue Entertainment simultaneously, as if by prior arrangement.
Song Yuan invited them into the conference room; the procedures were the same and could be carried out concurrently.
From Jishi Capital, Ji City's special assistant and lawyer came. From Mingyang Real Estate, Huo Ziming personally brought his lawyer to discuss.
The agreements to be signed were already printed by both lawyers, and the time and method of capital injection were clearly stated on paper.
Before this, Song Yuan had already handled the company's registered capital change registration, and the process went smoothly. Song Yuan left his firm and elegant signature at the bottom.
After the agreement was signed, Jis people left first.
Huo Ziming, however, was not in a hurry to leave. He took his lawyer to tour the company, experienced the game they were developing, and insisted on inviting Song Yuan to dinner before leaving.
Song Yuan was a bit confused. For something like today's matter, Huo Ziming, as the president of a company, didn't need to come in person; he could have delegated it to his subordinates.
But Huo Ziming not only came but also wanted to treat him to dinner?
Huo Ziming seemed very easygoing, as easygoing as a relative, which was different from what Song Yuan had found about him online.
Song Yuan readily agreed.
There was a restaurant nearby the company that was not low-end and had an elegant environment, so Song Yuan took him to that place.
Huo Ziming sent his lawyer and driver away, and he entered the private room alone with Song Yuan.
Song Yuan was familiar with the area. After learning Huo Ziming's preferences, he ordered some of the restaurant's signature dishes. He asked the waiter for the wine list, but Huo Ziming stopped him.
"I still have work this afternoon, so no alcohol today. Let's just have a simple home-style meal and chat casually. We can drink another time if there's an opportunity."
Song Yuan returned the wine list and ordered tea instead.
He pondered Huo Ziming's words: chat casually?
He thought this meal was for discussing work. What kind of casual chat would Huo Ziming have with him?
Before the dishes were served, the waiter brought them tea first.
Huo Ziming took his cup, his posture so casual it was as if he were back home, without any hint of a domineering CEO.
"President Song, what are your hobbies usually?"
Song Yuan thought for a moment.
"My biggest hobby is gaming; otherwise, I wouldn't have thought of developing a mobile game myself. Besides that, I run, work out, participate in a few marathons every year, and occasionally invite friends for a game of ball or go for a swim."
Mentioning swimming, Song Yuan thought of Gu Shiyu. It had been several days since their last swim; they could go again this weekend.
Huo Ziming chuckled.
"You lead a pretty healthy life. I thought people in your line of work would only be surfing the internet with 5G."
"That won't do. Health is definitely the top priority. When I was around twenty, I stayed up all night every day, but now I've adjusted my routine. Exercise is essential, or my abs will become one big piece."
Huo Ziming raised an eyebrow.
"You have abs?"
He then asked,
"Do you smoke much? Do you like to drink?"
Song Yuan realized that the content of their conversation was vastly different from what he had expected. Huo Ziming seemed very interested in him, not mentioning a single word about work.
Could it be that he was afraid Song Yuan would die suddenly, leaving no one to develop the game, and his thirty million would go down the drain?
"I don't smoke much; I occasionally have one. I don't usually drink, except when I need to socialize."
Huo Ziming was satisfied with his answer and pressed on,
"What do you usually do after work?"
At this point, he paused and then said,
"A friend of mine has invited a few young models; they're all top-notch in looks and figure. I'll send you the address. Want to come play tonight?"
Song Yuan almost spit out his tea.
This...
What's going on?
Song Yuan always felt that this Huo was testing him.
He twirled the ring on his ring finger.
"Huo, I won't go. As a married man, it's not appropriate!"
Huo Ziming tried to persuade him again,
"What's wrong with being married? Most people who come out to play are married. After a whole day of work, you need an environment to relax. If you don't say anything, and I don't say anything, how will your wife know where you went?"
Song Yuan raised his teacup to him.
"Huo, I really can't go. Another day, I'll treat you to a drink!"
Huo Ziming just smiled and said nothing.
When the meal was almost finished, Song Yuan excused himself to go to the restroom to pay the bill, but the front desk told him that their private room had already been paid for.
Song Yuan ate this meal full of questions.
Inside the private room, Huo Ziming, taking advantage of Song Yuan's absence, immediately called Gu Shiyu.
"The agreement is signed. I had lunch with my brother-in-law and chatted a bit. I helped you test him out. His character is fine for now; whether he'll go bad in the future still needs further observation."
On the other end, Gu Shiyu roared,
"Huo Ziming, don't meddle! Are you secretly bullying him behind my back?"
Huo Ziming said angrily,
"Where's your manners? You're not even calling me 'Brother' anymore? Whose side are you on?"
Gu Shiyu didn't give him any pleasantries.
"Stop talking nonsense. Did you bully him?"
Huo Ziming was so angry he laughed.
"Can we not be so love-struck? Is this what you call bullying?"
As he spoke, Song Yuan pushed the door open and returned. Huo Ziming hung up the phone and resumed his role as the brother-in-law.
Huo Ziming put away his phone and sighed.
"My wife has a brother. She often calls her brother by his name and frequently loses her temper with him. I'm in a difficult position in between. President Song, if your wife had a brother, and she called him by his name, would you, as her partner, still call him 'Brother'?"
Song Yuan paused. He had answered too many strange questions today, and one more wouldn't hurt.
"If my wife doesn't call him 'Brother,' it means this brother isn't doing well, so I naturally wouldn't call him 'Brother' either!"
Huo Ziming's expression turned cold.
"Let's stop here for today. We'll meet again if there's an opportunity!"
Song Yuan pondered Huo Ziming's retreating back, wondering if he had said something wrong that displeased this patron.
In the afternoon, back at the company, Song Yuan received a call from the hospital saying that the results of the paternity test he took a few days ago were ready and he could pick them up when he had time.
After work, Song Yuan headed straight to the hospital.
Upon receiving the paternity test report, he immediately opened it to see the results. The result was that he indeed had no blood relationship with Tao Yulian.
Before, it was just a suspicion, but at the moment he held the paternity test report, Song Yuan still felt a bit sad.
Many childhood memories flooded his mind. He had grown up cherished by Tao Yulian. If she wasn't his biological mother, then where did he come from?
Song Yuan was determined to find the answer today. He called his father, Song Heng.
"Dad, are you coming to the hospital today? I have something very important to ask you."
"I'm already in the elevator, I'll be in the ward soon."
