1: Chapter 1: Transmigrated, but the Azure Dragon Core Battleship

Brain, please, I'm begging you, arigatou.

β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”

My name is Li Ming. Not that overpowered Li Ming from the other book (referring to the author's other work), but the one from English essays... ah no, just an ordinary senior high school student.

Due to certain reasons, I've transmigrated.

Yes, I've transmigrated. It seems to be a body transmigration too.

The same nearsightedness, the same clumsiness.

I should be at the seaside right now; the sound of waves is swirling in my ears.

β€”β€”β€”

Struggling to get up, I found no injuries on my body from the fall.

Li Ming looked left and right, confirming he was indeed at the seaside.

I've transmigrated, but I didn't hit the jackpot. (laugh)

Hard to say if it's good luck or bad luck...

After turning around a bit, I realized I was probably trapped on a deserted island.

This is it. I'm done for. I hope I have a system or some other kind of golden finger. I'm not Robinson Crusoe, buddy, just a fat guy weighing as much as a mailbox.

Looking at the sneakers on my feet, then at the blazing sun overhead and the dense forest beyond the island's beach.

"Tsk tsk tsk..."

"This is going to be tough," Li Ming thought.

Maybe sometimes gambling with your life really brings good luck. As he walked, he discovered traces of man-made objects.

"Maybe there's someone here?" Li Ming thought. Curiosity drove him to follow the trail of man-made objects.

Then he felt he must have gotten something wrong.

"What... the... hell?"

What is that?! This familiar pattern, this massive frame...

Isn't that a dragon ship?! Hey, buddy, this shock is way too damn scary!

After looking all around and seeing no sign of people, Li Ming gathered his courage and moved forward.

Arriving beneath the ship, Li Ming found it was parked perfectly straight, not like a crash landing.

So why is it here? It looks completely inactive...

Walking halfway around the bottom where there was a light source, Li Ming found a place that looked like a door.

After studying it for a long time, he finally managed to open the valve.

Finding a few stones to step on, Li Ming peered into the dim corridor.

"The emergency lights are still on?" Li Ming thought, stepping on the floor. There wasn't heavy dust buildup, but looking up, cold sweat broke out on his foreheadβ€”there was a camera.

With a clang, the door behind him closed.

Cold sweat poured down Li Ming's back, but there seemed to be no way back now.

Heading forward in the only direction available, there were many compartments around, but they were all sealed shut, impossible to open by hand.

Helpless, he could only keep walking straight ahead.

At least the corridor wasn't endless. Li Ming saw a ladder leading upward.

Climbing to the next level, Li Ming saw...

Thankfully, it wasn't another corridor but a crossroads of some sort.

In the corner was something that should be a terminal. Li Ming walked over.

Against the faint light source, Li Ming realized it was actually just a route map...

After carefully studying the route, Li Ming figured out how to get to the Bridge... or rather, the ship's central control room.

Even so, it took Li Ming half an hour to reach the Bridge.

Wiping the sweat from his brow, Li Ming examined the Bridge under the emergency lights.

The various electronic devices were a bit confusing, but he still found the core control on the Captain's seat.

After some investigation, he reached his hand towards the buttons on the Captain's chair.

Totally unexpected! A direct electric current shocked Li Ming, making him tremble and fall to the floor.

After recovering for a good while and getting up, Li Ming looked at the chair with lingering fear, only to find that while he was shocked to the point of seeing black, the surrounding lights had already turned on.

"Whoa, what's going on here..." Blinded by the strong light, it took Li Ming a while to adjust and come back to his senses.

The screens of all the various devices around lit up and began running programs.

"Identity recognition complete. Genetic data import complete. Command program initializing. Welcome back, Commander Li Ming. Azure Dragon Core Combat Ship self-check in progress."

"Huh? Buddy?"

Talk about a pie falling from the sky! The kind that can knock you out?

With a pained expression, he watched the system run its self-check. Then he thought for a moment... just a moment: Since I'm the Commander now, then this seat is mine, right?

Thinking this, he sat down in the Captain's seat.

"Ship status self-check complete. Central control system operational. Remote technology interface authorization disconnected. Entering offline status..."

Li Ming tilted his head. It wouldn't have no technology, would it? Having just a ship would be useless then.

Immediately, the Captain's seat holographic screen opened, allowing Li Ming to further inspect the ship's status.

One look, and Li Ming's vision went dark.

Everything else was fine, it's just... just that the propulsion system was wrecked.

Whew, okay. At least it's not something else that's wrecked.

After some time spent studying by Li Ming, the Core Combat Ship currently has several functions.

Construction, Research, Information, Command, Scanning.

The functions aren't comprehensive, but the built-in content is enormous.

A tablet popped out from the Captain's seat. Li Ming picked it up, scrolling up and down...

This familiar logo left Li Ming speechless.

Whose personal terminal is a Schale Box?!

Too outrageous, but what came next was even more outrageous.

What the hell is this Thunder-like vehicle tech? And what's with this Steel-like weapon tech tree? Why are there things like 'Mercury Satellite' and 'Cyborg Technology' here? And why are there things like 'Titan Ship' and 'Sky Fortress' at the very end?!

Holy moly...

Li Ming rubbed his throbbing temples. Looking at the deployment command below, he thought for a long while before finally pressing it. Accompanied by a slight tremor from the command ship, followed by a rise, the coverings on the Bridge's front glass curtain wall were lowered.

The light grew even brighter.

Li Ming let out a heavy sigh. The pain pent up in his heart slowly dissipated.

That leap had used up a lifetime's worth of courage. In that moment, what he thought of were the Ship Girls in his mobile game account.

When he collapsed on this deserted island, what he thought of was... truly becoming a Commander.

Well, now he's really become a Commander. It's just that this Commander seems a bit different from what he imagined.

But since he's here, he might as well make the best of it. He's transmigrated now, and he has an qinglong ship. Can't ask for much more.

"Would someone really like a useless fat otaku like me?" A thought repeated in his heart, this time spoken aloud in the empty environment.

"Core ship deployment complete. Commander, please issue new orders."
