230: Chapter 230 Infiltration

"Tommy! Tommy! You bastard! What's taking you so long in the bathroom?"

Big Reg clutched his stomach and pounded on the door, slapping it repeatedly.

But Tommy did not respond.

"Dammit!" Reg gave the door a hard kick. "Tommy! You bastard! I'm coming in!"

Then, the door suddenly opened.

"Oh! You bastard finally decided to come out!" Reg pushed the door open, only to see someone else.

The man was wearing a Federal Army uniform, but he wasn't Tommy. He was holding a suppressed pistol.

He didn't even get a chance to scream. A bullet pierced his eye socket, and he instantly collapsed from "acute embedded copper poisoning."

Li Ming emerged from inside, tossed Reg into the bathroom, closed the door, and then hid in a corner to quietly observe the outpost.

There was one person at the front gate's machine gun post, two on the watchtower, and five others scattered throughout the outpost.

Deal with the easy-to-spot ones first, Li Ming thought to himself.

He looked at the machine gun Humvee in the corner of the outpost used as a fire point; it was parked next to a truck filled with supplies.

No, that thing would make too much noise.

Li Ming shook his head and shifted his target, looking at the drones sitting on a table on the other side.

They were originally under the charge of that guy Tommy, but since he was clearly unfit for duty due to acute embedded copper poisoning, Li Ming could only "tearfully" take over the drones.

He took out his phone and let Logic hack into the operating system—these guys were actually using DJI, so they were practically asking to be infiltrated.

The drones took off and began hovering over the camp, drawing everyone's attention.

The buzzing sound could mask other noises, and it was clear that these poorly trained men—except for the gate machine gunner who still didn't know what was happening—had their attention completely diverted by the drones.

"Dammit, what is Tommy doing? It can't be Reg stealing the controller to play pranks again, can it?"

"Who knows... anyway, it's no big deal..."

Only one person came over to check; this was a good opportunity.

Hiding behind a wall, with the drone's noise masking his movements, Li Ming managed a one-on-one "righteous sneak attack." His suppressed pistol precisely injected copper into the back of the poor soul's head. He then looked at the others, who were busy with their own tasks.

He picked off the one in the furthest corner first, then the one facing him. The last one realized something was wrong but was dealt with before he could react.

"In your next life, remember to stick together instead of hiding in corners like ostriches."

Next were the machine gun and the watchtower.

Take out the watchtower first. They're looking outside, but they're a huge threat.

Time to test his skills.

Fortunately, the intensive training Fujian had given him paid off; Li Ming successfully took down two people within a single second.

His heart was racing. If there had been any veterans or if they had been grouped together, there was a high chance things would have gone south. But clearly, these were mostly green recruits.

He then dealt with the dozing machine gunner, letting him pass away peacefully in his dreams.

Then, he sent a signal to the outside.

A UN disguise team quickly moved in and took over the outpost for Li Ming.

"Li, are you okay?"

Hans asked, looking at the bodies strewn across the ground.

Li Ming, who had just stashed the drones into his private space, shook his head. "I'm fine. Proceed as planned. I'll continue heading south."

Li Ming left the outpost through the back gate and continued his journey south.

In a city without heavy traffic, the engine noise of military vehicles was incredibly distinct.

Li Ming hid inside a scrapped car, waiting for the enemy to drive by.

Three Strikers, seemingly having just finished their patrol, were driving south along the road, likely heading back to the airport.

As the Strikers passed, Li Ming quickly slipped out of the car and collided with the M1128 at the rear.

Naturally, the crew inside slammed on the brakes and got out to investigate.

But they found nothing.

"Dammit, Thomas, you must have seen things. How could anyone crash into our vehicle?"

The man grumbled as he climbed back in, and the convoy continued on.

They traveled all the way to Hobby Airport.

Li Ming observed the airport through the M1128's equipment. It had been completely militarized. Perhaps due to a lack of planes, the long runways had been turned into barracks, ammunition depots, and open-air parking for vehicles.

The convoy pulled into the parking area. The drivers and accompanying soldiers stretched as they got out, complaining about the endless daily patrols before leaving.

Seeing them walk away and noticing no surveillance nearby, Li Ming detached his consciousness from the vehicle and quietly pilfered the ammunition on board.

Looking toward the armor storage area, perhaps because no one expected an infiltrator, Li Ming openly scavenged the unlocked tanks and combat vehicles one by one, even finding the chance to plant C4 under each of them.

4/4

"Hmph, quite a lot. There are 12 abrams alone... and even a few Leclercs and T-72s? They must be captured."

Li Ming thought for a moment and looked toward the corner.

An old Type 96? No, it should be a 96B... Why is it here? This kind of competition vehicle is expensive as hell. How did the country end up leaving it here?

"I don't understand." (Fenghua accent)

In the end, between the Leclerc and the 96B, Li Ming chose to trust the domestic product.

Of course, before that, Li Ming had other things to handle. After all, the Mediation Force was shorter on fuel than ammunition.

Li Ming siphoned the fuel from every vehicle in the parking lot until only a tiny bit remained, then decided to find a way into the storage warehouse.

Hiding near a vehicle close to the warehouse, Li Ming scanned the surroundings. There were even attack helicopters parked nearby. Looking back, he saw a fuel tanker driving inside.

He repeated his old trick, but this time right under the enemy's nose.

Lunging forward, Li Ming collided with the fuel tanker the moment they spotted him and raised their guns, vanishing instantly.

"What the hell?"

After checking for a while and finding nothing, the group let the truck through. These days, nothing was too strange to happen.

Li Ming chuckled inwardly as he followed the truck into the warehouse.

Looking at the supplies and reserves packed all around, Li Ming took advantage of their inattention to hop off, find a place to hide, and then look toward the fuel tanks.

Tsk, there's this much including the ammunition? Li Ming thought about it, a grand plan forming in his mind.
