108: A tough battle

"Holy crap! What was that?" Quan Wudi rubbed his eyes, looking around in disbelief.

A Fei said in a low voice, "I didn't see it clearly either. I just saw a bright flash, and then I was hit by something."

"Scatter! Don't stand together!" Xiao Hongyuan said immediately.

Hearing this, the four immediately scattered and surrounded Segart.

Segart's feet left the ground, floating straight in mid-air, and he raised a hand toward the four charging people.

Xiao Hongyuan activated Five-Stage Slash, slicing directly through Segart's body, leaving a sword mark on his armor before flashing behind him.

Segart acted as if he didn't see Xiao Hongyuan, swinging his arm down fiercely toward the remaining three in front of him. A long Light Whip instantly appeared from his arm, lashing directly onto the three of them.

With a 'snap', Jian Wuxie and the other two were whipped away by the strike again, falling to the ground.

Seeing this, Xiao Hongyuan immediately activated Wave Split Slash, wanting to forcefully control Segart.

But as the blue Sword Qi flashed, Segart remained floating straight with his feet off the ground, unaffected in the slightest.

"This?" Xiao Hongyuan exclaimed in surprise.

However, she didn't daze for long. Seeing that Wave Split Slash couldn't control him, she immediately jumped up, wanting to activate Silver Light Falling Blade.

But Segart suddenly flew up with her, swinging his arm again. The Light Whip snapped against Xiao Hongyuan, causing her to lose her balance and fall to the ground.

Jian Wuxie and the other two scrambled up from the ground, just in time to see this scene. Gritting their teeth, they charged forward again.

Before Segart could fully descend, Blood Frenzy was activated, and they began hacking wildly at Segart's legs.

A series of dense metal-on-metal clangs rang out as Jian Wuxie left a large number of sword marks on the armor.

A Fei extended his Ghost Hand, releasing all the Ghostly Spirits he controlled. While lowering Segart's defense, he also applied buffs to his teammates.

Unexpectedly, Segart didn't continue to descend; instead, he suddenly soared into the sky and spread his hands.

In the next moment, dense and irregular Heavenly Thunder suddenly descended, striking down chaotically at the three people beneath him.

The three tried to dodge, but the Heavenly Thunder was too dense. Each person was instantly struck by no fewer than three bolts of Heavenly Thunder.

"Argh!" Quan Wudi screamed in pain and was actually struck to death by the Heavenly Thunder.

Jian Wuxie and A Fei's health points also hit rock bottom, leaving them with lingering fear.

After getting up, Jian Wuxie quickly used Death Defiance to pull back a bit of health, while A Fei hesitated for a moment before taking out some sleep shell meat and eating it.

Fortunately, his luck was good; after A Fei ate the shell meat, it didn't trigger the sleep status.

Quan Wudi resurrected immediately, and a Shockwave swept through, but Segart was still unaffected, standing straight in mid-air.

However, after releasing the Heavenly Thunder, Segart seemed somewhat exhausted and descended directly from mid-air.

Due to the influence of the Berserker passive, Jian Wuxie, who now had low health, was surrounded by wisps of blood Qi. Both his strength and speed increased significantly.

He roared, first releasing a Cross Slash. Then, before the blood-red Sword Qi could fully dissipate, he charged in front of Segart again, his Greatsword swinging wildly, so fast that afterimages appeared.

A Fei also stepped forward, throwing out all sorts of skills at once.

After Quan Wudi landed and applied his buffs, he also charged to the front line, first throwing two handfuls of sand at Segart.

Seeing that the Sand Throw skill didn't cause blindness, Quan Wudi activated the poison needle skill. Since Segart was too tall to reach his head, Quan Wudi actually stabbed the poison needle directly into Segart's crotch.

Turning his hand, he pulled out a brick. This time, his target was even clearer, slamming it fiercely between Segart's legs.

"Let's see if you know what pain is!" Quan Wudi roared.

"He's a Magic Construct; your attacks are useless against him!" Jian Wuxie said while hacking away.

Xiao Hongyuan was also desperately hacking at Segart with the Ghost Sword Technique. Suddenly, she saw him raise an arm toward the three again and hurriedly warned, "Watch out, get behind him!"

Hearing the shout, Jian Wuxie and the others looked up. Ignoring their attacks, they immediately ran behind Segart.

Just as the three left the space in front of Segart, a blinding pillar of light shot out from his arm, directly covering the area where the three had been standing.

The four of them stared dumbfoundedly at that massive Light Cannon. No wonder they were hit without seeing anything; the speed was too fast. As long as you were within the coverage area, there was simply no reaction time.

After the Light Cannon disappeared, Segart suddenly turned around and swung his arm at the four again. The Light Whip flashed, whipping them away.

"This guy is too troublesome. All control skills are ineffective against him. We can only fight him in close combat!" Xiao Hongyuan said.

"There's no other way. We have to do it. Don't hold back! Throw out your skills as soon as they're ready. Let's grind him to death!" Jian Wuxie roared.

After speaking, he took the lead and activated Three-Stage Slash to close in again.

Before the other three could follow, Segart suddenly flew into the air again, spreading his hands as countless Heavenly Thunders fell once more.

The three watched helplessly as Jian Wuxie was instantly hit by an unknown number of Heavenly Thunders, turning into a corpse emitting white smoke.

With a 'boom', Jian Wuxie resurrected immediately and cursed, "Damn, this guy only has these few tricks. Once we figure them out, he'll be easy to deal with!"

After speaking, he charged forward again.

This time, the three didn't hesitate. Seeing Segart descend from mid-air again, they immediately surrounded him.

Skills were thrown out one after another.

After recovering for a bit, Segart raised his arm again.

"Run!" A Fei, who had already figured out the attack pattern, shouted immediately.

The four ran directly behind Segart, dodging the Laser Cannon.

After firing the Laser Cannon, Segart raised his arm again.

"Back off!" A Fei warned again, and the four jumped back in unison.

The Light Whip swept past, and not a single one of the four was hit.

This completely confused Segart. He froze for a moment; his rigid mind couldn't understand why the enemies were able to dodge his attacks this time.

After dazing for a while, looking at the four people attacking him frantically, Segart spread his hands and flew into the air again.

"Retreat!" A Fei shouted, and the four immediately moved away.

Countless Heavenly Thunders struck down, again failing to hit anyone.

Seeing Segart descend, the four surrounded him again like hounds seeing prey.

Under a series of strikes, the scars on Segart's body grew more and more numerous.

At this moment, A Fei's ruptured soul blade suddenly flashed. Its special effect had actually triggered! A Saber Qi carrying a red glow slashed onto Segart.

After the blade light flashed, Segart suddenly fell to the ground without any further movement. The luster on his armor faded, and the white light within the gaps of the armor plates also vanished.

Jian Wuxie was still attacking frantically with his head down when Xiao Hongyuan grabbed him.

"What's wrong? Keep attacking!" Jian Wuxie asked.

"He seems to be dead!" Xiao Hongyuan said with some uncertainty.
